Greenpoint Restoration

Greenpoint had a smaller scope of work to be done which I felt was more appropriate and why I chose them rather than the insurance company preferred vendor (even though insurance would have paid more). I wanted some special items included (sound deadening insulation, baseboards caulked as well as painted) which they were able to accomodate. Greenpoint staff were very good. Subcontractors were good but there was a little additional work needed (front door got bumped, back door got caught in a high wind, tile section had to be redone) but all subs were eager to please. Overall happy with the job.

They were very responsive when we first contacted them for water mitigation. After we received the repair estimate, they never returned our phone calls to schedule the repair work.

A+++ from start to finish. We worked with Greenpoint Restoration a year ago, and their work has stood the test of time. From the initial consultation, to getting the work completed, everything was top notch, something rarely seen in this day and age. I chose them based on other Angie's List reviews and was not disappointed. Probably not the cheapest, but I would definitely use them again.

They very willingly can over with someone to evaluate the situation and then to tear up my floor. They brought in equipment and caused a little damage taking the equipment out. I called the company to advise them of this and asked to have someone come in to take a look at it and straighten out the situation before I pay them. I got what I felt like was a brush off to go through my insurance for it. The insurance guy looked at it and said it seemed like a minor issue that the company could have addressed. I think the company was upset, because I decided not to give them the business. I will not pay them until the company or the insurance resolves the issue.

Greenpoint did initially respond quickly to my call about water Damage with Mr. Foggo coming to my house. They did do the cleanup and tear out work as agreed in a timely manner but I did have contact issues during the process. This was my daughters room and she was displaced while we waited for Greenpoint to submit the bill to our insurance Company. I had to follow with them multiple times to insure this was done. In addition, I had requested a quote to not just put things back the way they were but to upgrade the bathroom and make changes. Mr. Foggo and his "contractor" would either put me off, not respond, or advise me they had already come by when they had not done so. This all occurred over July/August. I received my insurance check on 9/7 (Not due to a Delay by USAA insurance but submission of the report) and informed them of this and that I had not received a quote or any communication on the fix of the damaged area. No response. On 9/22 I did receive an email with a bill for the work completed on the clean up but no quote and no communication on the fix. Meanwhile my 4 year old daughter was still displaced. I have never spoken to them since my last email on 9/8, that I sent, telling them I received my check and for them to come out and give me a quote. Given the length of time and lack of communication and that I needed to fix my daughters room we went another direction. They lost a 17k job. I did forget to pay the bill which is error on my part but again the only other communication I recieved since the emailed bill on 9/22 was a letter on 12/2 saying if I did not pay my bill immediately a lien would be placed on my house. I will never recommend this Company to anyone.

Greenpoint worked with our insurance company to make sure things went smoothly.  They worked as quickly as was appropriate, were professional at all times, and when it came time for the reconstruction and we got other estimates from contractors for this part of the process, the estimate from Greenpoint was right on par.  They did an excellent job with everything!  I hope never to need this kind of emergency service again, but if we do I would not hesitate to call Greenpoint Restoration.  I strongly recommend them.

Fantastic, John and his team are highly skilled, knowledgable, and professional.

It went great. They kept the fans in the house until all was dry.

In kitchen area, repaired kitchen floor from water damage. Repaired kitchen cabinet and counter. Replaced kitchen flooring. Painting of trimwork. In main bathroom area, replaced tub/shower. Replaced toliet. Replaced bathroom flooring. Replaced panelboard on wall with drywall and trim. Painted bathroom walls and trimwork. Reinstalled bathroom cabinet.

Very satisfactory experience.  All personnel -- from the manager of the commany to the project manager to the individual laborers -- were pleasant and professional.  The team was punctual, worked diligently, and was respectful of my property.  Communication was excellent; the team explained what they would do and did exactly what they said they would.

I was sufficiently impressed with Greenpoint that I contracted with them to perform some of the repair work.  I will ask them to do some basic tasks (drywall repair, painting, and installing engineered hardwoods).  Their representatives were (to their credit) candid in suggesting that I should look elsewhere for sophisticated or specialized work; as such, I plan to get separate contractors for specialized plumbing work and installation of new countertops.

This company came recommended from a plumber after my water heater catastrophically failed, flooding 3 rooms in my home and the crawl space underneath. They arrived at my home within 2 hours of the time I authorized them to come out. The project manager, Chris, was first on the scene and he assessed the problem, explained how their service works, and what they would be doing. He assured me that they would take care of everything and work with my insurance company to get us straightened out.

The work crew arrived just as he was finishing up and he introduced the supervisor and handed the job off to them so he could get to their next appointment. The supervisor confirmed all the details that Chris had covered with me, and they got directly to work.

The crew were extremely efficient and professional and obviously knew exactly what they needed to do and how best to get it done quickly. Within a little over an hour they had stripped back the carpeting in one room, removed the soaked padding, cut and removed damaged drywall and insulation, removed damaged hardwood in another room, and vinyl sheet and underlayment in a third. They moved the remaining belongings my husband and I had not already cleared off a couple areas we didn't realize had gotten wet, including an extremely heavy, fully loaded chest freezer. They then went under the house and removed soaked insulation and vapor barrier until they got back to undamaged material. They bagged all the material and removed it, then set huge fans and dehumidifies going both in the rooms and under the house that drained into our septic system so they didn't have to be monitored. They spread desiccant material under the house as well, and assured us that the material was non toxic, biodegradable and nonhazardous.

They warned us that there would be a heat buildup, and it was necessary for the dehumidifiers to function at top efficiency, and that the noise would be intense but couldn't be helped then scheduled a time to come back and check the drying process several days later.

They were extremely prompt on the checkin and while we weren't dried out enough to remove all the equipment things were progressing.

They are coming out tomorrow morning for another check, we're hoping to be dried out enough that they can remove the rest of the fans.

Chris and his team have been efficient, courteous, prompt and empathetic to our situation and our frustration with the mess and inconvenience an event like this causes. They are great communicators and have kept us informed and reassured during the whole process. They treated our home and belongings with care and respect, and have made a horrible situation a lot easier to deal with.

I would recommend them to anyone, they have been absolutely great to work with.

We had a plumbing back up over the weekend that resulted in sewage water in our downstairs shower pan.  I wanted to be sure that the shower was completely disinfected and reached out to Greenpoint Restoration. They were extremely prompt with their response to my scheduling inquiry over AngiesList and were able to come out to my house a few hours later. The two technicians were professional and explained what they were going to do before they started. The whole process took less than 20 minutes and everything looked great.  Their minimum pricing for a service call is $150, however, I was wiling to pay it because I wanted to be sure that the shower was disinfected with hospital-grade chemicals. The price was not surprising considering the typical jobs Greenpoint completes. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

It went well!  The crew was out here the next day after I made the initial call and worked into the evening to get the problem under control.  They also worked with my insurance company to get claim processed and paid.  It was as easy as making one call, and they did it all!

OK.  Not enough mold to worry about.

The water mitigation went excellent. They were great at ripping down the walls and ceiling. The restoration, however, was subpar. It took longer than originally thought and the final work was subpar.

We had an attic hot water heater spring a leak.  The leak wasn't noticed until water was dripping through the ceiling of the floor below.
Greenpoint pulled the insulation in the attic, dried the attic and floor below, then blew new insulation into the attic, repainted the ceiling in the room below, and replaced lighting fixtures.
Everything went fine.  The process was quick and painless.  The workers were professional.  I would contact them again for a future job.
