Eager Beaver Handyman Service

Previously the installer informed us that the job would “take a couple of hours.” He came back the next day to finish the job in 4 hrs! He also informed me that the price was not $400 (as the quote on the original paperwork stated). It was raised to $450 dollars. He didn’t provide receipts for the supplies or receipts for payment. For my records, I had to go and get a money order($5 money order fee) to ensure payment was made for his services. I would never recommend this provider to anyone. Buyer Beware.

The owner came out to talk about installing a towel shower and gave me an estimate. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and did not beat around the bush. He responded to my phone call quickly and came right out. He did not waste his time or my time and was very polite and courteous. He knew what he was doing. At this point I am undecided to have my shower renovated but I would consider hiring him in the future.

Used twice and both times the work was completed timely and to our satisfaction. Even though Shane and I did not always see eye to eye, he and his teams are very responsive.

The owner, Shane, was super responsive and prompt regarding my request for a quote. He arranged an appointment that worked with my schedule.His pricing was very reasonable. His technician, Chris, was prompt and very personable and it was a pleasure having him in our home. He explained everything he needed to do, what it would cost and how long he expected it to take. He did wonderful work, I'm thrilled with the result. He cleaned up everything after he was done and it looks so much better! I am now walking through my house looking for other things I need done because, if you are like me, finding someone you trust to do things in and around your house in a professional and cost effective manner, is a gift! I would enthusiastically recommend Eager Beaver Handyman services for any upgrades, remodels, or repairs you need. Also, we were quoted by a reputable firm, just to replace the pipe, not even with the wall repair, a greater price than Shane quoted me. I won't bother calling anyone else.

The Job was done quickly and fairly. They even finished ahead of schedule. Shane is very responsive to any texts or communication. Any issues that came up were fixed promptly. The guys who did the work, Shane, Michael and Chris just to name a few worked late into the evening if needed to get things done. They were very respectful of my property and cleaned up after themselves.

Due to carpal tunnel surgery, couldn't do it myself. Dusty was GREAT Eager Beaver was AWESOME. Will be calling again if there is something else I need help with.

Couldn't be more pleased. Price was right and the work excellent; professional & very responsive to inquiries and in giving updates on progress. Contractors were on time for appointments, courteous, kind, & cleaned up well. In the process of getting a quote to remodel my Master bathroom now!

Shane had his employee Chris do the kitchen backsplash and he did an absolutely excellent job. He installed lighting for it and he did a perfect, very professional job. Highly recommended. The second job they came for was remodeling a second master bath. Shane was great at communication and he sent two guys to start with and a painter at the end. One of the guys was wonderful and did excellent work. One just wanted to get it done fast and the quality showed. They did confess that they felt pressured to end early because they had to go back to another customers to complete work. So, the tile work in the shower was done quickly. You can tell. Tiles are at different depths, so some are sticking out from the wall more than others. Also, crown molding was not joined at one spot and never fixed. Faucet was not installed properly and the tile installed on floor is uneven height in two places. I think they can do excellent work but you need to wait to pay them until everything is done in the end. I've emailed Shane and he never responded about fixing the things listed above. I had already paid him.

Shane the technician came on time and went right to work. Since the slat had fallen off before and tacked in by another handyman/different company, Shane used better nails and used a drill to put the slat back on for a better hold. I received the Senior Discount as well. I'm pleased and relieved to finally have this task done. And will contact them again for help with honey-do list tasks.

The team of Shane (2) and Michael did a great job. We were very pleased with the results and with the overall process. Here's what I loved about these guys: --The owner, Shane (1), was easy to work with and provided a clear picture of the project. He checked on the progress of the work to make sure there were no issues. --Shane (2) and Michael arrived when they said they would. --They were very respectful of our home and took great care to protect all areas. --They were great with our pets and happily worked around them. --They did a great job cleaning up each day so we did not feel like we were living in a construction zone. This was a 5 day project. --Throughout the project, they asked for input and showed me each step as it was performed. --They offered design advice based on the limitations of our shower area. We already had tile purchased, but actually changed to a different shape and design based on their advice. And I'm so glad we did! --They noted and fixed other problems in the bathrooms as they were working in those areas. Even installed a new exhaust fan for me while they were there. --They did a great job painting all affected areas when the job was finished. --They were very thorough with the clean up and hauling off all debris at the end of the project.

Excellent! Couldn't have asked for better. After a disastrous 2 attempts at the shower by another contractor, we could not have been more pleased with Eager Beaver. Prompt and professional and the new shower looks great! Absolutely would hire again.

Shane scheduled a worker to come out and look at what needed to be done. The siding was examined and then measured for what materials would be needed to replace the damaged boards. Shane emailed a detailed quote and scheduled the job quickly. The materials were delivered and the crew arrived exactly as scheduled. The work was done very throughly.

Had water damage due to a roof leak. Eager Beaver quoted the repair. Job was completed on time and they were very helpful in understanding options. Really liked their use of technology to complete work. Scheduling and invoicing through email made this work incredibly convenient for me. Thanks.

At our age, we don't climb a ladder to the 2nd story whether it is inside or outside! Shane contacted us immediately after we requested a quote. He came by and then sent an itemized quote the next day which we accepted and set up a date. Dusty with Eager Beaver arrived 30 minutes before the scheduled time, went over everything we wanted done and started immediately. Exterior work consisted of painting the security lamps on all four corners and replacing all the bulbs. Interior work was in the 2 story foyer which included cleaning and replacing bulbs in a hanging light fixture and replacing batteries in the remote controlled blind. The wooden shed ramp they built from scratch is much stronger than the one replaced. Eager Beaver was able to do the work in the time they had estimated, there fore no extra charges. All the Eager Beaver persons were professional, personable, punctual and allowed us to worry less about all the little things a homeowner needs to do. Thank you.

I could not have asked for any better experience. Having your only full bathroom out of service is quite stressful. The staff of Eager Beaver kept me informed every step. They were friendly as well as extremely professional. They asked where I wanted everything placed. The job turned out absolutely gorgeous. I will always call Shane and his staff first.

We recently decided to update our circa 1985 master bathroom. We enlisted several companies to quote the project and we made our final decision to go with Eager Beaver LLC. The project was as most projects, supposed to take only a couple of weeks to complete (if all is right in the world) and as usual it took longer. We were faced with many hurdles that included inspection, material challenges (finding a bathtub that would fit the opening) and then a hurricane. We had expectations that the project would go quick and without any challenges, as most homeowners do. With that said, the workmanship exceeded any expectation that we possibly had and we were blown away with the quality of the work. Although there were challenges that were unexpected and out of our control, we ended up with exactly what we wanted in our remodel. I am a landlord and my current maintenance company left their business. I needed some minor repairs done for a rental home. I called Eager Beaver and met with Shane at the property. Everything went fine as far as scheduling and work being completed. The pricing was definitely the highest rate I've seen for a maintenance company but that is not my main concern. It was lack of professionalism. I had a concern about some extra fees added to the final invoice. I spoke with Shane that I needed some things replaced. I just assumed this would be the case. In the invoice it said that the customer will provide the materials and any 'supply runs' will charged extra. I was under the assumption that they already had the supplies as I talked with Shane about this. I must admit, I did not read the part of the invoice where it mentioned these fees would be potentially added. So this part is was my mistake. So I wrote an email about this after the work was completed about the supply run as I have never heard of this before. Shane writes an email: "Good morning. I'm sorry you missed the disclaimer on the quote in all caps. I priced for labor as if the disposal and paint would be onsite. The quote clearly states that. I appreciate your business but please know that I can't do supply runs without being compensated. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED QUOTE THAT YOU APPROVED. " I was not asking for any refund or anything back in my initial response. I made a mistake by just assuming. However, he could of stated this in a professional manner without being condescending. Even if the customer is wrong, you do not have to conduct yourself in this manner.

This company has been out for three jobs over the last 6 months or so. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and charged a fair price. Chris performed the work each time and with each job, he had to solve an unanticipated problem. He does exceptional work. Does not waste time and is highly skilled. Shane, who manages the Company is professional, responds very timely to phone calls and texts, always starts the work as scheduled (within an hour of the time promised) and charges a fair price. I would highly recommend this Company if you are looking to get the job done right.

Shane and Chris did an excellent job and were always reliable, thorough professionals from start to finish! Shane was right on time and very professional when he arrived to provide an estimate. He also checked in on Chris and brought him some supplies on the day of the job. Chris was friendly and an extremely hard worker throughout the long day at our house - he never even took a lunch break, just snacked on some crackers and kept on diligently working! We had four ceiling fans installed (replacing the current light fixtures) and two needed the ceiling braces (meaning he had to go up into the attic, so he literally went above and beyond). We also needed some grout replaced in a few areas of our kitchen and bathroom, but he took the time to grout more than just one small area (so that the finished look was much better). He also recommended a few small things which I appreciated, like sealing off the sink area to prevent future leaks. He even fixed the window in our bathroom that we were never able to close properly (it wasn't even on his to-do list, he just fixed it without being asked). I would definitely hire this company again and hope to use them in the summer for a bigger remodel project!
