The Deckscape crew, end-to-end were outstanding. Mike was super responsive and was very transparent through the entire process.

Project went pretty well, but highly recommend you get all work to be done very clearly spelled out in writing for your exacting wants and expectations to avoid any confusions and possible issues. They will continually use the signed agreement to comply with what they do.

Deckscapes installed a new porch including EZVue vinyl windows, stacked stone fireplace, tiled floor and exterior Trex decking. The project looks great and we are very pleased with the craftsmanship of the project.

Deckscapes did a great job on our project and we are highly pleased. On top of giving high quality workmanship and using quality materials, we have been exceptionally happy with their warranty service and commitment to keep us happy now and for years to come! We recommend them!!

Everything went great and everyone at Deckscapes was easy to work with and very responsive. Would definitely hire again in the future.

It was originally going to take 4-6 weeks to complete. We ended up changing a couple things after the start of construction, had weather delays, inspection delays, product delays so it took closer to 11 weeks to complete. Communication was great overall. We were kept informed. The end product looks amazing and we are completely satisfied. Great job and I highly recommend!

Deckscapes did wonderful job with our deck renovation. From start to finish Chip and Mike were very good at planning and completing the project.

FANTASTIC!! Deckscapes has exceeded all my expectations and the porch and patio are GORGEOUS! Everyone I have encountered at a Deckscapes has been friendly, professional, respectful, and courteous. They have worked with my erratic/unusual work schedule and every worker that has been on my property has been highly respectful of my property and plants. Exceptional craftsmanship by all who worked on the project. They have turned a long time dream into reality for me. A++ all the way around!

FANTASTIC! Chip showed up when he said he would to quote the job and I received the estimate when he said I would. He was knowledgeable of my options (both for patio choice and screen/frame choice for porch screen. Working with Lisa (office manager) and Mike (project manager) [once the project was approved by the HOA] was great. They kept me updated throughout the process and when there were delays (weather, material out of stock), one or both emailed, called or texted. The job was completed on time and for the exact amount of the quote. We LOVE our patio.....and the only one who loves our screened-in-porch more than we do is our cat. We could not be happier. Best money we spent all year!

They did a real good job. They have good sub-contractors. excellent stone mason. The project manager did a great job. Communication was great.

I contacted via their website on March 16, saying I had a large deck that needed at minimum to be resurfaced but possibly a more extensive rebuilt. I received an email reply on March 20th that they only build new decks and porches and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment for a new deck. The reply stated "my first available appointment as of today for an estimate is the week of May 21st." I replied that I had already had two estimates from reputable deck companies since sending out inquiries on March 16, had a third stopping by the next day and would need a complete teardown and rebuild. I said waiting 10 weeks to get somebody out to my house was beyond unreasonable and suggested they post a notice on Angie's list noting a 10-week backlog.

Everything was always delivered and ready to go so there was no build delays and everyone was pleasant to work with. They were able to take out a window and replace it with French doors while others balked at the request. They even did a gabled roof when others would only do a shed type which I really did not want. Everything turned out perfectly and I have received a lot of compliments on how great it turned out. It looks even better than I had imagined!

I contacted Deckscapes and another provider based on Angie's List reviews. Both providers had similar pricing but I preferred the more detailed estimated that Deckscapes gave. I was given $500 Angies member discount when I asked. The first glitch was on my end when it took an inordinate amount of time for my HOA to approve the slight expansion of my deck. Deckscapes was very patient during this time and with no increase in pricing began my project within days of getting my HOA approval. The work proceeded quickly and basically most of the deck was done in about 3 days. I noticed one board had a significant scratch in it and in due time they came out and replaced it. As with any project, there will be some issues. They put the access door for the space under the deck on the wrong side of the deck but they did offer to switch it. The lighting is plugged into an existing outlet that I have on my deck. The initial person that came out to discuss the deck with me had assured me that the plug in for the lighting would be hidden under the deck. Unfortunately, this was not written into the proposal so I didn't feel I could argue that point. So I will have to eventually hire an electrician and get that taken care of as it is a bit of an eyesore. There was also an issue with getting the final permit as a handrail that is required by code was not installed. It took about a month for them to order and get this installed. Not a big deal and in the end I got the permit. There is no Trex lattice available and a wooden lattice was installed. If I had to change anything, I would have declined that lattice and gotten plastic lattice instead and had that installed. I don't like the wood due to termite attraction. The deck is absolutely gorgeous and we are very pleased with it. Pricing reflects 248 sq ft deck using Transcends Trex, aluminum balusters, and low voltage lighting with wooden lattice around the bottom.

Very professional and courteous. Would definitely recommend to a friend or neighbor and/or hire again.

My ratings are based purely on my experience in trying to get a call back. They did no work. Chip Thomas came out in 2014 and provided a quote for a partial screened porch at around $15K. I thought the price was fair, but I didn't want a partial screened porch and needed to rethink the design. I've gone in circles with what I wanted, and reached out about a year later for assistance and never got a response. I am now certain what I want and ready to go, but I've called Deckscapes twice over the last month with no return phone call. I've been ignored 3 times. It seems Chip is still the guy I need to talk with, but for whatever reason I can't get a call back. Chip seemed knowledgeable and the initial pricing was fair, so I likely would have used them, but it looks like I'll be going elsewhere for my screened porch and deck redesign.

Awesome. Came the same day. Did the job quickly.. Added and replaced sprinkler heads, repaired some leaks, and reset the Rain Bird control system.

We received estimates from two different deck companies and were most impressed with Deckscapes. We wanted a low-maintenance deck, so we went with the Trex Transcend composite product line. A little more expensive, but worth it, since we don't want to have to stain the deck every few years. Chip Thomas, our sales representative, was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all our questions and also give us good advice on deck design and product colors. We decided on a 16' x 16' deck with two sets of stairs........one leading to the driveway, and one opening up to our backyard. We also had a 6' privacy wall installed to help with reducing the noise level from our AC unit, and to provide a little bit of privacy from our neighbors. Individual lighting units were placed on the stairway posts, as well as the privacy wall post, which helps with navigating at night. A 2-man crew was able to complete the build, and another crew member came to install the lighting. They started the project Thanksgiving week and, because of rain, took a little longer than expected. John and his partner did a great job! They were punctual, friendly, and always put in a full day and cleaned up after themselves. As with any larger scale project, we had a couple issues along the way, but everyone we dealt with at Deckscapes was very helpful and made it a priority to make sure we were happy. When the lights were installed, we weren't happy with them at all. The color we chose and the actual shape of the units weren't at all what we were hoping for. Mick, the project manager, came out the next day to show us other options and replaced them within a few days, at no additional cost to us. We also pointed out a few other minor things, like a crooked post and an overabundance of nail holes on the privacy wall. The post was straightened and several of the boards on the privacy wall were totally replaced. We were very impressed with their ability to hear our concerns and do what they had to to make it right. We would definitely recommend Deckscapes! We are more than thrilled with our new deck and are looking forward to making new memories. The rich, dark color of the floor boards, and the white railings, perfectly matches our front porch. It looks like it was meant to be there all long. In fact, we plan to have Deckscapes come out in the future to replace our front porch with the Trex product, so that we are totally maintenance free! I am extremely pleased with Deckscapes, both as far as the work they did, and their integrity as a company. From the secretary on the phone, to the construction workers, sub-contractors, sales rep, manager, and owner of the company, every person I dealt with was honest, helpful and respectful. That means a lot. I felt as though I could trust these people, and that I was in good hands. Their actions and professionalism on the job backed this up. The only hick-up was a bit of confusion about the start date of the project. Obviously, this is difficult to predict because of changing conditions on their prior jobs, ordering materials, and weather hold-ups. I imagine that most contractors would have the same issues. I later discovered that the secretary was a helpful and willing resource in helping me to know the latest on the schedule. She was very friendly and patient with my multiple questions. Once the projects began, I had their undivided attention. When I had a conflict, they adjusted their schedule. Everyone worked very hard to get the final phase of the work done before my expected company for Thanksgiving. The work did in fact, get done on time. My family raved about the multiple home improvements, and I agreed, that Deckscapes had done a wonderful job.

We were very happy with this project, design was great, quality of construction was excellent. Any minor issues that came up during the project were addressed quickly and very fairly. We literally got quotes from a dozen companies (long story) and became very familiar with different construction methods they were going to use, costs for updgrades (e.g. tile flooring) and overall interaction between us and different companies. Can certainly say we are very happy we picked Deckscapes.

Once we gave him a deposit Chip explained that it would be sometime after March 15th before they could start the project. We had our old deck and walkways (pressure treated wood) torn down starting on March 27. We now have a brand new Trex deck and walkways. They did a great job and it is wonderful. The project went very well. The project manager, Mick, was very patient with our many concerns and questions. The entire crew that worked on the deck was very good. I would recommend this company to anyone who is getting a deck or porch.

Deckscapes made this entire experience quite a positive one. We were provided with answers to all of our questions and great suggestions as well. Everyone with whom we interacted made this an outstanding experience..one of the best we have ever had with any home improvement job we have done over the past 40 yrs of homeownership (multiple homes in multiple states). First, their pricing was very competitive, materials were top notch and delivered exactly when promised. Work commenced when scheduled. The gentlemen who did the construction were a pure pleasure to have at our home. They could not be more polite or personable...and they worked--showed up early in the morning and worked in exceptionally hot weather ---- putting in a very full day. The job was completed within the promised time frame with perfect results. I highly recommend Deckscapes.. I know if you give them a try and make yourself clear, they will provide you with a top notch product at a reasonable price. No reason to worries when dealing with this company--NONE at all! I will not hesitate to use Deckscapes for future projects.

From the very beginning Mick was a wonderful person to work with. He made helpful suggestions concerning materials and colors. Mick sent us to another job to make comparisons between materials. He checked with us regularly for a start date as we had the deck put on after we had a porch rebuilt. They started on time and finished on time. The crew that was at our home were polite and talented young men. Mick inspected regularly while the work was going on and refused final payment until all the staining of the lattice was complete. We could not be more pleased with the work done by Deckscapes. We interviewed four contractors before hiring Deckscapes and we can highly recommend them to others.

They met or exceeded our expectations in every way. We were not looking for the cheapest provider, but their pricing is very competitive, especially for the top-quality work they provided. We were careful to explain the design features we wanted, and used a lot of the photos on Deckscapes' webpage as examples of what we liked. The result was good communications - and no 'misunderstandings'. The open porch with gabled roof allows the daylight into the house, and helped us avoid turning the den into a dark room. We are delighted with the results, and the premium features they provided include electrical outlets, ceiling lights, installation of 2 fans, tongue-and-groove ceiling (it's stunning!), premium wood decking and wrought iron railings with a simple, clean & classic look. The lattice work is heavy, custom-built and includes an access door. There are a few photos of the porch on the Deckscapes facebook page which show the open design, railings and ceiling. We used Sherwin-Williams' Hawthorne semi-transparent stain on both the floor and ceiling.

Even though we did not hire Deckscapes, I would recommend this company. They carry quality products and are very professional.
