Diagnose and replace water heater.

DR Jordan was very responsive, and able to schedule my work promptly. Don was here the same evening , was very courteous, installed the garbage disposal in a short while and gave us tips regarding minor troubleshooting. It was quite a pleasant experience.We will definitely use them again if needed.

As described, there was no service, rather a courteous call back.

Our upstairs air conditioning unit went out last night. My call to the service provider this morning was answered promptly and upon discussing the issue, he provided some initial thoughts and confirmed his pricing prior to arrival (no surprises). He showed up 15 minutes early, quickly diagnosed the problem (low Freon level) and reiterated pricing prior to performing any work. In addition, he provided a detailed overview of how the system works, where issues generally pop up and what items I could do as a homeowner to prolong the life of our HVAC system.

Old disposer failed on monring of Jan 2nd - called about noon - plumber arrived about 4 pm - completed about 6 pm.

Followed the advice of Reid.

Reid arrived promptly within 15 minutes of our call to our home. He quickly identified and repaired the pipe. Unfortunately, it's now 2 months later and the pipe has burst again. We called early (15 minutes after opening) and waited over an 1 1/2 for a call back. We informed him that we needed him to return and fix the same pipe again. He said he was booked for 2 weeks, and he couldn't come out and fix it. Now to find a new company.

D.R. Jordan is very strong about not recommending new equipment unless you actually need it. When he came out for a visit to do something to our AC which had been broken, he showed us what the problem was and how easy it would be for us to fix it in the future. So, we frankly do not have to have him come out if we have the same problem again. He is a good guy.

D.R. Jordan Plumbing and Mechanical (specifically Reed) is outstanding! I called to get an inspection on a perceived gas leak and ended up with so much more. The night before Reed was to come on-site for the gas inspection, we had a drain leak that caused damage to the kitchen ceiling. Reed not only responded to the original gas leak inspection, he checked all gas joints to ensure we were safe THEN diagnosed and repaired the drain leak. He kept me in the look the entire time and made me feel at ease. This is a house we are about to sell. Reed went above and beyond by speaking to the buyers (at their request) and explaining what he found and assuring them the items he inspected and repaired are not going to be an issue in the future. That made them comfortable and allowed us to continue with the sale. His professionalism and customer service were top notch and what I consider above and beyond. D.R. Jordan Plumbing and Mechanical will be a top referral for friends/family in the Charlotte are and should be considered the only option for your plumbing needs. Thank you again!

I called D &R Jordan and Reid told me he'd try to fit me in between another job, just to diagnose the problem. He should up in 10 mins. It turns out that the leak was in the wall behind the water heater. In less than 15 mins, Reid removed the sheet rock, took out the cracked pipe and replaced it. He also gave me what I thought was a very fair price. It would have been nice if he'd cleaned up the crumbled sheet rock, and maybe offered to vac up some of the water in my outside storage unit, but I know his coming to me so quickly meant he was late for another appointment. So, I'm okay cleaning up the small mess he made. All in all, the service was quick, well done, and reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend them to other

I had dreaded this experience for years, knowing our old water heater's days were numbered. The water heater gave out, and I searched online for an installer since our usual plumber had retired. When I contacted Donald Jordan based on the Angie's List reviews, I encountered a knowledgeable, conscientious and reasonably priced professional who performed the work well beyond my expectations. He arrived promptly for the intial meeting, made sure that my husband and I knew our alternatives, thoroughly described what would be involved and quoted a price that was $300 less than Piedmont Natural Gas' telephone quote (they wouldn't send anyone out for a quote). He recommended a brand which was well reviewed online. Once the deal was struck, Donald installed the water heater and removed the old heater the next day. It was necessary to vent the unit to the outside, and he made a very neat job of that. He fixed a small leak he had discovered under the house leading to the water heater and changed out our furnace filter while he was under the house. He offered several suggestions for diy maintenance we could do on other applicances to help efficiency and extend life. Everything was left neat and clean, and I was surprised at how easy this had all turned out to be for me when I had been putting it off for years. We will definitely be calling D.R. Plumbing for future work.

I called Reid mid-day and he came to our house about dinner time and stayed almost 2 hours until he found the leak in the house. He worked quickly, neatly and was very professional throughout. I was impressed and have since called him on other matters.

The experience went very well. They were easy to reach by phone and could work me in the next day. Not only did they show up on time but asked if they could come early on the day of repairs. They were very professional, worked quickly and efficiently and the price was very reasonable. It is clear this is a company that would like repeat customers and is honest. I would highly recommend them.

Was easy to get in touch with. Showed up on time with all the right stuff. Explained the repair that I requested. Did not try to "upsell" any additional services. Took a little longer than he thought to install the expansion tank on the hot water heater, but did not charge any extra, also fixed a leak at the shut off valve for the water heater at no additional charge. Overall...very pleased with the work and the service provided. 2 other plumbers that had come out to look at the problem were much higher priced for the same job and did not really seem interested in the job.... D R Jordan was very knowledgeable and would use him again for my plumbing needs.

Overall it went very well. He called to inform me that he was on his way. He was very nice and explained to me and my husband what the problem was. The line need to be cleaned. He pulled out a mess of roots the size of a possum and it was causing water to backflow into the first floor bathroom. While Mr. Jordan was at our home, he went above and beyond the call of duty. He helped us to locate our main water shut off. He capped a gas line in our laundry room. We have an elcectric heat dryer. I told him about the smell of gas from the firplace and he instructed me how to cut off the main valve. He didnt want to trample on my carpet with his work boots since he came prepared to work on the outside. We are very pleased with the work he has done. He was very personable with us and the concerns we have with other issues with our home. We will be contacting him in the late winter, early spring for additionally work to be performed. Mr. Jordan was very honest and upfront about his price, the issue(s)and other concerns new homeowners has. His price for the work he performed was fair. We were very happy with his work. and Overall the cleaning/clearing of roots in the sewer line, the attention and promptness were very satisfactorily performed,

Reid was great! I am a homeowner and was acting as my own general contractor for a kitchen remodel/expansion. When he initially bid the job, I had a plan of attack for him that I thought was the path of least resistance to run the gas line to the location of the new range. When he showed up to do the work, once he crawled into a tight space in the attic, he realized it wasn't going to work as I thought it would. Working together, we found another option to get the gas line to the range but it would be more time consuming and cost a bit more in materials. Reid not only did the job but didn't charge me any more than his originally quote! I even had an issue where the electric hookup of the dual fuel range was preventing us from sliding the range completely into place. Although the electric hookup being in the way wasn't his problem, he stayed for another hour to make sure we got the range properly in place. In my experience, most other contractors would've said "you'll have to call your electrician". But Reid didn't want me to be hassled with waiting on a different contractor to come out when he knew he could do it himself. Another thing. When Reid pulled out of my driveway, it was a rainy day and he accidentally drove JUST SLIGHTLY into my newly seeded lawn (not a big deal at all). Without me even seeing it or saying anything, he got out of his truck with a rake and fixed the small area he drove on. Do you know how many other people would've just driven off without doing anything? If he had not proved his character on the job (which he did) he definitely proved it on his departing my house. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. Honest and hardworking guy, what more can you ask for?

He was so excellent. I can’t say enough about him. We spent about $1300 for the whole bathroom and that was incredibly not expensive. It was half of what everybody else was quoting us. We learned so much about just the process and he was so honest with us. He listened to our needs and got exactly what we wanted. We wanted something very simple and that is exactly what we got and at the best price. We were having a hard time getting anybody to do that work and he really did it very quickly and on time. Nothing got hung up and we have had no problems with the work at all. It was just a beautiful job that he did. I would also recommend him for a second bid, especially on something bigger and/or potentially expensive. When you need plumbing it's often urgent -- you have to fix it NOW -- and so it's easy to play upon your emotions with loaded language. He will tell you the truth even if it reduces the amount he could charge you. In our case it turned out to be less than what we originally had feared -- much less than what we had been led to believe by another plumber. That saved us not only money, but also from needless worry about planning and budgeting for unecessary work. It put our minds at ease.

Reed is a pleasant, honest and very skilled professional. I can't say enough good things about him.
