CUSTOM CABINETRY & TILE BY RUSS

Tim came out to give the estimate and was very helpful and professional. He explained that they were very busy and it would be about 2 months before work could begin. When the time came, Russ was here everyday right on time. He tore everything out in about a day. The work was completed in less than 5 days. We are more than pleased. Everything looks great. It is apparent that they take pride in what they do. They are WELL worth waiting for!

I thought they did a good job. The price was fabulous. The workmanship was very good. The carpentry, tiling, wainscoting was excellent. The only reason I did not give an A was because the initial installation of the medicine cabinet was not plumb. The way that they joined the baseboard to the tub was not aesthetically pleasing either. They did fix the medicine cabinet, so now I am very happy with that.

This company is very responsive and efficient. Tim came by within a couple days of first call to design the project and give the quote and Russ came back a month later and installed the units (most of the custom work was done at his shop). Tim provided very good ideas and suggestions at our initial meeting. Quote came with detailed sketches which made it easy to visualize final project. We are very pleased with the project and would definitely recommend Russ and Tim's Home Repairs.

First found Russ & Tim's on Angie's List, but also received a solid recommendation from a general contractor better suited for larger jobs. Tim answered my first phone call and came to look at the first bath within a couple of days. Throughout both projects Russ was always prompt, and always careful to minimize the inevitable mess. My wife and I thought both guys were very easy to work with, and take a lot of pride in doing a great job. We didn't change the footprint of either bath, but otherwise they were completely redone. Both jobs required 5-6 days each to complete, exactly as estimated. After working with Russ and Tim I understand why they stay booked out a couple of months. However if your project fits within their range of expertise they are a great choice and worth waiting for.

Tim immediately returned my call and explained that they are very busy. They could not commit to my job for much longer than I could wait. Tim and Russ have done work for me previously and I would use them again.

Gave advance notice on when they would start. Showed up every day. Finished on date orig. stated. Clean and neat. Good communication.

There was no emergency. However, Tim came out and did the consultation and Russ came out and did the work.

They quoted the work and provided a date when it could be done. On that day they started and finished three days later. They also assisted us with a refrigerator/cabinet issue that came up while they were working on our house and didn't charge for the additional work.

He was upfront in telling me that he didn't have the right tools to cut the tile as I need to have done. He said he would have been able to do it if I wanted the tile on the wall replaced as well. I appreciated him being upfront and giving me some other names of people to contact that would be good for the job.

Tim answered his phone the first time I called. He asked about the scope of the project and told me that it was beyond their capabilities because we would need a licensed contractor. He recommended three other general contractors on Angie's List. Two out of three of these companies returned my calls and were very helpful.

Excellent. Tim provided a detailed estimate after a thorough review of the work to be done. He clearly understood the project and offered suggestions on how to improve or simplify. Tim and Russ kept us up to date on the progress of the work and expected next steps. Tearing out and replacing woodwork and drywall is messy, but they worked hard to limit the dust (it could not be eliminated). I was totally impressed with the workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. The drywall is beautiful. They started on schedule and finished as projected.

They could not do the work until March. They were honest enough to tell me this when we talked.

It went very well. Both men were knowledgeable, professional and courteous. The project was completed in the estimated time frame. I was notified the day before that they were running on schedule and would be there to start the work.

Tim came out to give us the estimate. I told him we had a $4,000 budget and he said he would see what he could do keep us within that range. We were very thankful that he actually called later that day and gave us a quote under our budget which left us extra money to buy new fixtures and tile. Tim was very professional and courteous. The first day Tim and Russ came out to take up the old tile. This took them almost all day. Once they were done they cleaned up and carted all the old tile away. Russ worked on the renovation for the next 4 days. He was very sweet and polite and always made sure things were tidy before he left for the day. The bathroom turned out better than we ever expected. Russ did a wonderful job with everything. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality work at a fair price. I will definitely be calling on them for other projects around our house.

Very professional. Work outstanding! Matched stain and old moldings perfect. Wine rack (in kitchen) looks like always there. Perfect! Front rail system looks great. Molding in room is great.

Our experience with Russ & Tim's Home Repairs and Improvements was positive from the very beginning. They were prompt to return calls and were at our house on time, for both the estimate and for the duration of the project itself. The project went smoothly and the work done was very professional. We are very pleased, both with the service and with the finished results. Note that because of their deserved popularity, they have a busy schedule, so plan accordingly and call early.

Russ & Tim gutted and remodeled a small bathroom in my house, including replacing rotten floor joists and new subflooring. The work was professional, done on time, and I am very happy with the product. I would recommend this company highly in terms of price and quality. They take a long time to start the project between the time the estimate is given and start date, but it is well worth the wait. I hope to use them again for a kitchen remodel.

Disappointment. Not their usual standard of work. I had to have them come back twice to fix the errors, then finally gave up and fixed the final bits myself because I was so disappointed in the quality of the service.

Russ and Tim were precisely on time and they kept to their schedule throughout the whole process. They were polite, professional and did outstanding work!

Tim was courteous and took time to talk through what I needed and then suggested several alternatives to help us get work done more quickly, as they are so busy, and some off this seemed ''too big'' (more renovation-like than improvement-like). I was impressed that he was willing to send business elsewhere since he couldn't get to it too soon.

They came out and looked at a door I was thinking of replacing,. but explained that it would be too much work. I appreciated their honesty, and they were just wonderful to talk to!

Russ did an excellent job. HE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND GOT RIGHT TO WORK. Job TOOK 8 HOURS 1/2 DAY Friday AND 1/2 DAY Monday. Job SITE WAS LEFT CLEAN. The PRICE INCLUDED THE ALUMINUM LADDER

Extremely professional. Provided references and proof of liability coverage. Work completed as scheduled, priced as quoted, and quality as expected. Would happily recommend or use again!

Both Tim and Russ were very nice. They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in the time they said they would. The new shower doors were leaking and Russ returned timely and fixed the problem. I think their price was very competitive and am for the most part pleased with the work they did. There were some minor things that I was not pleased with. They left all of the large boxes that the fixtures came in for me to have to remove. The new drywall that was added around the attic ladder opening was not properly sanded down to a paintable surface and the new molding around the opening did not have the nails set. The bead-board that we had installed around the bottom half of the bath also did not have the nails set.

Russ and Tim were very nice and professional. Their work was very well performed.
