Joe was very professional and a great communicator. We were able to arrange a consultation quickly (staining a deck that was raw wood and six months old) and once he came out and saw the scope of the work (and that it was weather and season dependent) he immediately got his team on the job. The same afternoon of the consultation (Saturday) his crew was on the job power washing my deck. They don't work on Sunday and we had rain Sunday night, so the deck needed to dry off off for a day. His crew showed up punctually on Tuesday morning and worked all day putting two coats of stain on the deck (top and bottom) since this is a second floor deck off my master bedroom that sits above a screened in porch. The work was beautiful and his crew was exceptional. As important as a good company owner is, they are only ever as good as the people that work for them. Joe's crew were fantastic and super conscientious. I would use them again in a heartbeat for other painting/staining work I may need in the future and I've already recommended them to a friend who will need deck work done next summer. Thanks, Joe!

The crew spent a week in our home and were professional every step of the way. They were always polite and cleaned up at the end of each day. We were very pleased with the results - especially the work on cracks in the walls. And we love the colors that the designer helped us choose. This was a big job with some very tall walls and challenging services and we were very pleased with the result. Joe was always very clear about the work and let us know what was going to happen each day. Every one of the crew was careful with our belongings (especially the grand piano) and moved the larger, heavier furniture carefully.

The most important aspect of our job was neatness in painting. Flavio and crew met the expectation. They were prompt and courteous. As with any job of this size there were items that we missed in communicating to Joe. They have returned in a timely manner and completed the task. I can recommend Joe for his professionalism and advice.

Flavio and crew did an outstanding job. They are professional, tidy and pleasant to have around. All the walls were prepared and patched where needed. New crown molding and chair rail were caulked and painted also. I commend Joe Cardone and this crew for a marvelous experience. Not only was their bid lowest of those received, they went out of their way to make certain that the job was done to our satisfaction. We have used lots of tradesmen in our lifetime but none has been any better than this. They deserve all the accolades you see in the reviews on Angie's List. They deserve a POH nomination.

Joe came out immediately and looked over the job. He provided a quote, his insurance, and all his information in the proposal. He called and scheduled the work immediately and they were extremely professional throughout the entire process. They cleaned everything up when they left and the job went as smoothly as you could hope. I would highly reccomend Certapro.

Joe came to our home and worked up an estimate for painting all exterior wood, including repairing of moisture damaged wood which he could see. He explained that there might be extra cost if more damaged wood was discovered. The work was started on time. The on site supervisor was Alex who was excellent. There was some additional damaged wood which we expected. Alex did a great job of explaining our options and I believe he was very honest in trying to give us the best price possible. He discovered some damaged insulation panels under the damaged wood which he replaced at no additional cost. We also asked if they could paint the interior of our screened back porch which was outside the scope of our original request. They did that at a very reasonable price. The complete project took three days. Joe came by once during the work to see if things were going ok. Alex was there everyday and kept things moving smoothly. At the end of the project Alex walked through everything with us and touched up a few places at our request. Oh, I forgot to mention they also painted one inside wall at no additional cost. At the last minute we also asked if they could paint the front door which was not in the initial request. Alex happened to have the right color of paint on his truck and painted the door at no additional cost. Both Alex and Joe came by after the job was completed and presented us with a complimentary gift and thanked us for our business. It was very clear that they wanted us to be happy with the job. We will use them again for any interior or exterior painting and will recommend them to our friends.

Job went extremely well. Very punctual, very neat and very professional. Besides the painting, there was some repair work that was also done in the master bedroom and bath. All done very satisfactory. There was a couple of areas that we were not satisfied with however after 1 phone call, the crew returned within 24 hours and corrected the issue. Highly recommend.

We have used CertaPro Painters of South Charlotte in the past and were very happy with their work so I contacted them again when I needed the ceilings of our house painted after removal of the popcorn ceiling texture by an asbestos abatement company. As the amount of work is fairly large and I wanted to break up the work to make it easier for me and my family (we have small children), Joe suggested that we break the work into small projects and start with just a room or two. We choose the master bedroom and bath. CertaPro did a wonderful job with all the painting and the ceilings look just beautiful, which is a little amazing since the drywall wasn't too pretty after the texture was removed. The project was rather dusty, but they really kept the dust contained in the area that they were working in and did clean-up well (I did have to do a little vacuuming/dusting afterwards, but not too much considering). Our master bedroom closet is a walk-in, but really small and the bathroom area is also small with lots of corners and tight areas. I know that small areas are often more difficult than larger ones and thought CertaPro did a great job in these small spaces. The work took about two and a half days to complete. Joe is very detailed-oriented and interested in meeting all of his customer's expectations. We have a lot of painting to do to finish the rest of the ceiling work in our house (along with a few of the walls) and we intend to keep using CertaPro of South Charlotte.

Responded immediately. The estimate was done the same day and the work was done the next day. The painters were very careful and did an excellent job.

Courteous and professional. Accommodated my schedule for coming out to provide the estimate as well as for performing the work. The crew was prompt and experienced. They patched and prepped all the walls as necessary, completed the painting quickly, and left everything clean. Very pleased and would use them again.

I interviewed 3 paint companies and I'm so happy that I went with CertaPro Painters in SC. The owner Joe Cardone responded promptly to my email and we scheduled to meet for an estimate shortly afterwards. I was very thankful that he does evening appointments b/c it made it much easier. He was punctual to our appointment and walked with me throughout the first floor, answering my questions and asking for details about the job I wanted done. He listened carefully to my concerns about protecting our new hardwoods from scratches and about having a professional team of painters in my home. Joe reassured me that he his crew had been with him for many years and that he had a lot of confidence in them. Although his estimate was not the cheapest, I was impressed with Joe's professionalism, knowledge and Angie's list scores. Plus, he offered a free hour consulatation with an interrior decorator who gave me many great ideas. Originally I only wanted the formal areas and family room painted and then I decided to add the kitchen and the pillars in the foyer so I called Joe. He came out within the next 2 days to see the extra room/pillars and I had a revised contract by the next day! The day the painting started, Joe introduced the paint crew to my husband and they proceeded to review the details of the job. The crew worked quietly and efficiently. They carefully moved and covered the furniture. At the end of each day, the crew would clean up and store ladders/paints. The painters were meticulous and the result is simply awesome! The rooms look beautiful and I couldn't be happier (Not one scratch on my hardwood floors!) CertaPro Painters and Joe Cardone are true professionals and I will definitely hire them to paint the second floor!

We were having our roof replaced and some of the work covered interior painting of leaks on ceilings. As part of the project, we asked the roofing contractor to have his painter estimate the cost of exterior painting, repairing rotted wood, clean and stain deck. The combined pricing from the roofing contractor and Joe's scope of work were comparable to other contractors, but we chose them because of Joe. You are never going to meet a painting contractor who cares so much that you are a satisfied customer. Joe is dedicated to making sure he understands the scope of your project before he bids on the work, he is brutally honest about the work that he believes needs to be done, and clear about problems that could be found as his crew begins working on your home. I liked Joe and his straight forward manner, and I was not disappointed by the result. Joe's crew was wonderful. Polite, professional, great craftsmen and painters. They took care of replacing rotted wood siding, and salvaged my front door casing that was rotting as well. The painting job was immaculate and the clean-up the same.

Joe and his painting crew are very responsive hard working folks. They did an excellent job painting and were very accommodating on scheduling too. What also impressed me was that Joe spotted a mistake I made in over paying my bill. He promptly pointed it out and sent a refund. Great work and honesty - a very nice combination.

We purchased our house in March and wanted to change some of the paint choices as well as touch up some areas which had clearly been painted in a hurry prior to putting the house on the market, which upon further inspection were not up to snuff. I solicited several vendors from Angies List and received quotes from 3 ultimately. Certa Pro was not the cheapest, but was also not the most expensive. I chose them because Joe was very responsive during the process and answered all of my questions (of which there were many). The Certa Pro crew, led by Alex, were very professional and conscientious. The BRs had a lot of nail holes which needed to be patched prior to painting and there was also trim work to touch up. Due to the number of rooms we were painting, we were also eligible to utilize the interior design service from Joe, which proved to be very helpful in color selection etc. On the last day, at the last minute, we asked them to touch up one of the rooms which we had not planned to paint, which they did with no hassle. They were flexible throughout the process and we were very satisfied with the work they did. We had some hardwood flooring work done just before, and they were very careful not to damage the new floors or get paint on them. In the end we spent $2600 in labor and another $400 in paint to repaint the MBR, 2 guest BRs, one wall in a guest room, our library, part of the Master bath and a major portion of our entry foyer and the hallways to the BRs. We would definitely reuse their services again.

The painting service was great. Joe's team was prompt and kept our home very clean. They were all very professional. They painted all requested walls. They removed outlet covers and light switch covers. They taped what needed to be taped. They even touched up the white trim as they were finishing up. Everything was perfect and we'll definitely be asking Joe back for some more work in the future.

We have used him twice and he is lined up to start again next week. He is straightforward and helps you estimate what you need and what you don't need. He will tell you what is a more expensive job than another, so we break it down to several rooms at a time rather than the whole house. He works with you. His crew is great. They repair wood and window sills, whatever you need.

Overall, my wife and I were very pleased and will not hesitate to call on CertaPro again for future painting needs and would recommend them very highly.

My experience with CertaPro Painters of South Charlotte far exceeded my expectations. I met with three companies for estimates. When Joe Cardone visited for the estimate, he took time to talk with me at length about the project, the skills of his team, and conveyed his confidence that CertaPro would be able to handle the job. Joe gave me a clear estimate with two options depending on whether or not we would paint the ceiling smooth or replace the popcorn texture. I preferred to leave the popcorn texture off, but was concerned that my 30-year old ceiling might be too damaged or uneven to go to a smooth finish, especially since I have such a large open living room. Joe?s confidence was reassuring. I am thrilled with the end result and would definitely work with CertaPro and Joe?s team again. Flavio and his team were very professional, fast and focused. I felt that my home was in good hands. I am always curious to learn about home projects and Joe and Flavio were helpful in explaining the steps of the repair as it progressed. The project was finished in two days. Before I began to put my furniture back in place, I realized there was one section, where the biggest hole had been patched, that needed more attention to smooth it out. I admit I dreaded having to talk with Joe about doing extra follow-up work ? but Joe made it easy for me. He agreed it could be better and he wanted to have my complete satisfaction. Flavio and his team came for another half day and went above and beyond to make more improvements. As a single woman, it often feels daunting to me to handle the negotiations for big home projects, especially when I am learning as I go. I felt Joe treated me with the utmost respect and integrity through the whole process. That is worth a lot to me. The ceiling is beautiful and looks much more sleek and modern. My neighbors, who are living with their old popcorn textures, are envious!!

I found them on Angie's List. He called me back right away, he made an appointment, he came over and we talked about everything and he verified that they would be here and they were here. No problems and it looks good. They came on time, they cleaned up every day, and they took an hour for lunch, and then they were back, they didn't sit around and do nothing, they worked while they were here. I will continue to use them in the future and I already have referred them to my neighbors.

They took my front door down to the bare wood. They sanded it, they put two coats of stain, two coats of varnish, taking two days. The man that did the work was very, very nice and did a great job.

I loved working with Joe Cardone and his crew. They were all very professional from start to finish. Joe came to my home and walked around the exterior with me and listened to my needs. He gathered information about the history of the home. Then he took more time to inspect the home on his own and make his evaluation. Next Joe came inside and sat down with me. He had a frank discussion with me about my options and laid everything out for me as best he could. Since he did not go up on my roof and he couldn't reach some of the wood on the exterior of our soffits and windows, he couldn't be sure what to expect. I liked his honesty and I loved his candor with me as a woman. He did not talk down to me or talk to me like I should understand everything. There was a great balance. I was pleasantly surprised by the estimate. Although it wasn't the cheapest estimate, it was within an attainble budget for us. We had avoided this project for too long and knew there were going to be more costs as we went along, but with the starting estimate, it felt like it was manageable. When the crew began the job they arrived on time and worked when they said they would. They were courteous and when the job was finished they left the yard looking good. The job site manager, who was the carpenter as well, was very professional and he made me feel at ease with him and the crew being there. They finished the work in a very timely manner. Once the summer heat arrives we will know more about the paint job, but as for now the house looks like new again. We are very happy.
