 + -1 moreDarrell the owner showed up at the agreed time and walked through all work to be completed, shortly after his worker arrived and Darrell personally explained nature of job to Tony. Darrell stayed until job completed and confirmed several stained areas were stain free. Very pleasant and professional to deal with. This is third different company I have tried and I will not be using anyone else. Darrell & Tony both had clean, neat uniform appearance.
Description of Work: Second time using Carpet Pros, scheduled to have 4 rooms & 2 hallways cleaned with traffic areas coated w/scotch guard.

 + -1 moreI dealt with Darrell Thomas -owner from start to finish. He gave me a quote over the phone, picked up the rugs at my convenience. He told me it may take a week to 10 days to return the rugs, but he called on the fifth day and said the rugs were ready. The rugs were returned in beautiful condition. Very professional service.
Description of Work: Two wool area rugs ( 8x10 and 5 ft. round) cleaned, protected and moth proofed.

 + -1 moreTony arrived on schedule, checking w/us about 20 minutes prior to inform us he was in route. He assessed carpets thoroughly. Another member of this company started cleaning upstairs while Tony spot treated the needed areas. Did a wonderful job on our carpets, most stains were removed (we didn't expect they would all come out). It was evident he gave attention to his work/customer. Tony is a fine representative for this company. I have never used a carpet cleaning service before because my previous home had hardwood floors. My husband and I are pleased w/result and highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: We had the carpets in our entire home cleaned, prior to move in. Upstairs was 4 bedrooms and hallway. Carpets on stairs, in dining room, living room, and sunroom were also cleaned. The house is only 3 years old, but there was spots of paint on the carpet in several room that needed extra attention. Scotchguard was also applied to dining and living room areas.

They gave me an estimate at 1/2 the price of another famous company, & I liked the way the man sounded that I spoke with on the phone at Carpet Pros a lot better than at ZeroRez. They came out just a few days after calling them. They were here for a little over 2 hours to do all the work. I couldn't be more satisfied. The carpet was nasty, as we had not had it cleaned in 4 years, we have 2 small children, a cat, and a dog. There was several pet stains. They did not charge extra for them. The carpet is beautiful now. It looks like new! All the stains are gone! The furniture was also dirty for the same reason, and hadn't been cleaned in 5 years. It is so much brighter now! I am so glad I joined Angies list and found out about them. They should advertise. If it wasn't for this website I wouldn't have known of them. I definitely feel I was treated well by them, both price and work. Top Notch!!! Thanks Tony!

 + -1 moreWhat an impressive and stellar firm! Rarely have I encountered such a professional, competent, and personable firm. The carpet was promptly picked up, the process was thoroughly explained, and the delivery was as promised. The Turkish carpet in question was approximately forty years old and had not been cleaned in probably thirty years. I cannot stress enough the impressive job done on this rug; it looks absolutely incredible! Stains have disappeared and the colors look new again. And, Darrell Thomas made sure it was laid properly before he left.
Description of Work: Forty-year-old Turkish carpet, approximately nine feet by twelve feet, was sent to be cleaned. It had probably not been cleaned in approximately thirty years, so presented a challenge, to say the lease.

 + -1 moreI did my research on Angies List and chose Carpet Pros. BIG mistake! Mr. Thomas is all talk and no follow through. I guess he can do small jobs ok such as wall to wall, but not 11X16 ft. area rugs. Due to lumps, soil and bad odor, I chose to not use the area rug in my home. Now it sits rolled up in the garage. He messed up BIG time and better not say anything against me because I was very kind until he lied to my face about the binding. All the weird excuses made me uneasy. All he had to do was clean it & sew a simple cotton binding in good time and a reasonable amount of quality. Had he done a good job, I was going to let him clean wall to wall and some furniture. Not now or ever. No wonder he didn't want me to pay. He knew the truth! I'm out of a fairly new and expensive carpet. It bothers me that someone can be so deceitful.
Description of Work: My 3 yr. old, lightly soiled large wool rug ($2,500) was picked up in early Sept. 2006 by Mr. Thomas and another man to be cleaned and a two foot section of binding to have a sewn repair. It was promised within 7-10 days. Two months passed & numerous phone calls & excuses to tell me the binding was NOT done to his liking and that he's a perfectionist. Late in Oct. Sat. morning the rug was delivered by Thomas who could barely lift it. He said no charge when he came in. It was WET. He said somebody used bug killer on it without asking him first. It never had bugs! It smelled, had spots on it that weren't there before and it was lumpy. He claimed he had never cleaned a rug like it before. It's a common rug! He was going to charge me $100 for the binding repair, but I said I wanted to think about it and see if the rug improved with drying. However, 5 minutes after he left I noticed the binding was not sewn. It was hot glued and coming apart! I called him. He apologized and said no charge.

 + -1 moreCalled Carpet Pros to schedule cleaning and was promptly scheduled for that week. Darrell, the owner and two employees (Tony and Anthony) showed up on time. Darrell was great about answering any questions and everything was cleaned very well. They also cleaned a small rug by the front door that my kids tracked in snow on without charging.
Description of Work: Steam cleaned a sofa and love seat and treated with a germicide to kill bacteria. I also had area rug cleaned and treated with stain protection.

While I reached his voicemail each and every time I phoned, he was very prompt, polite and responsive when calling back. He showed up on time on the date we had chosen for the estimate, and he was professional and respectful about tracking mud into the house since it was raining. On the day the actual work was performed, he and his crew once again showed up on time and were polite and worked hard and consistently to get the job done to my satisfaction. The carpet looks great!
Description of Work: Darrell stretched our carpet upstairs. After repairing, the representatives cleaned and put Teflon on the carpet to assist in prohibiting stains.

 + -1 moreDarrell was quick to return my call and was very courteous on the phone. Darrell was able to schedule my appointment for the next day. Tony came to do the work at my home. He was courteous, professional and arrived promptly for the scheduled time (called prior to arriving). To assess how bad the urine stains were, Tony pulled back a piece of the carpet and let me examine it with him. I was amazed at what I saw and afraid we would have to replace the carpet. Tony discussed what he could do to try and remove the stains and odor. When he was done the room smelled fresh and clean and most of the urine stains were gone. Tony really knows what he is doing and I will be sure to use Carpet Pro again when I clean the rest of the house. Thank you very much Tony!

I picked Carpet Pros because I thought there price was lower than a competitor that I had considered for the job. I had recorded my figures incorrectly, and Carpet Pros was actually higher than the competitor. Tony was willing to compromise and adjusted his price down to match the competitor (in actuality, it was $1 less than the competitor).
Description of Work: They cleaned the carpet in two rooms and also cleaned two sofas including the pillows.

 + 0 moreDarrell came out on a Saturday to give an estimate. He was very personable and professional. On the day scheduled, he arrived with 2 employees on time. The company who took up the carpet at the time of the water damage cut the carpet in jagged lines, so it was hard to repair, especially being berber. We are very happy with the job Carpet Pros did!
Description of Work: They reapplied tack strips, put down new padding, restretched, repaired, and cleaned berber carpet after water damage. They also applied an enzyme to kill bacteria, mold, and mildew that may have resulted from water damage.
