We found All About the Pipes on Angie's List. Mary answered the phone - she is smart, friendly, and organized. Great first impression. Next came Chris to review the job and provide an estimate. He is the owner. He was on-time, knew what he was talking about, wrote notes, was nice to my kids :), and moved at my pace. He was great! The quote was ready for us the same day once he was back at his office. Mary emailed us the quote and a thank you note. The quote was very reasonable - plus it was a pretty big job of lots of little tasks. We had already had two other plumbers out to quote the job. I'm so glad we went for a 3rd quote and found All About the Pipes. Their prices were significantly lower, and their service was significantly better. We will use All About the Pipes for ALL of our plumbing needs. Our work needed to be spread into two visits. We have one more visit planned, only because All About the Pipes is waiting on us to get some HVAC work done on our end. Bill, Jamie, Dan, and Chris came the first day on August 14th. Bill, Jamie, and Dan were the service providers - Chris came out to support them and help them problem solve. He even greeted me and thanked me for my business. These guys worked hard. They never stopped. I was so impressed with their customer service and work ethic. What we all expected to be fairly easy jobs - installing the sink faucet and replacing tub faucet - turned out to be challenges. Our brand new faucet was leaking from the actual faucet piece and they called the manufacturer to trouble shoot (which I thought was beyond cool). Simply put, All About the Pipes was troubleshooting the issues and not putting the problems back on me - which was appreciated and fantastic. The guys were here all day. Dan did an excellent job talking me through everything they were doing, what challenges were coming up and how they were resolving them. They left everything as clean, if not cleaner, then they found it. Jamie and Dan were even super conscientious of my new marble countertops (1 day old) and wiping up every drop of water so that it didn't etch (I never even asked them to be). I will mention this also because I think it's an important customer service note -- these providers were clean, wore company shirts and pants, looked neat - and were so kind to me, my children and my pets. This may not be important to some folks, but I know others would like to know that. Our second visit was on 8/21/13 for working on the gas line. Doug and Travis arrived on time - again, these guys were clean, friendly, smart guys. They got right to work as soon as I showed them how to access what they needed. Doug took his time checking everything on my new range to make sure it would be ready for cooking. They aren't allowed to leave it on, as it still needs an inspection, but Doug made sure it all worked properly before shutting it back off. I mentioned to Doug how impressed I was with all the service providers we had met from All About the Pipes. Doug agreed that it was a great group of people and that Chris was a good man to work for. Last important note is that the price I paid was the price I was originally quoted, and actually on the first day of service, they reduced one task by $50 because it didn't require something they thought they originally needed. I was blown away that they would do that. I so appreciate paying what I was quoted, especially when the quote was so reasonable and the service was so outstanding. I have already recommended All About the Pipes to two of my friends, and I hope this review will convince you to call them for your needs, too. They will always be our first call when need plumbing work completed.

I got them from Angie's List. They were excellent. I had another company in before them, before I even joined Angie's List, and they were about 25% of the price, it was much different and they were very good. They did not charge to get in to do more than they had to do. They were professional, courteous and very nice, but more importantly they did not push me, like the other company that I had in wanted me to do a lot more, this company did not push me. They only had me do exactly what I needed and it was wonderful, it worked out perfectly.

A handyman had replaced the hot water bathtub faucet last fall, so when the cold water tub faucet started leaking in June ,I called him first. He bought the water stem kit needed, (as he had the first time) & I paid him for it. But the cold water turn on handle was so stuck that he said a plumber would have to get it off to do the work. So I called All About the Pipes, told them the problem. & said that I had the replacement parts. A worker came the next day, & was able to get the handle off, so he installed the new water stem. I noticed he didn't use the gold ring included in the kit, & since the handyman had used one on the hot water stem, I told the worker that, & asked if he could use it too. He said it wasn't needed, so he didn't use it. I saved it anyway. The faucet appeared to have stopped leaking, so he left. When the bathtub was used the next day (Saturday), it started dripping again from the cold water faucet, although not nearly as bad as it had been before the service was done. I made sure the faucets were turned off tightly, & checked a few hours later, but the dripping still kept going. So on Monday I called back AATP. They gave me an appointment for Wednesday, & this time the worker used the gold ring in addition to the water stem. The leak stopped, & has not happened since. There was no charge for the 2nd visit, and their warranty is 2 years for all labor & parts on plumbing, so overall I was pleased, despite the inconvenience of needing them to come back to fix the problem. The service people were neat, pleasant, & fast workers.

The gentleman who came was very courteous and knowledgeable. We purchased a special that simply included a water heater flush and plumbing inspection, and we got exactly what we needed. And then we got more ... I was rather shocked at the number of improvements and repairs that were recommended. After awhile it started to feel like his mission was to find a sale in each room, and I was personally turned off by that. Some of the suggestions related to bringing things up to code, which I appreciate. But some seemed a little far out and I had a hard time imagining who really would need and pay for those items. That said, there was no pressure whatsoever. We were provided with a bulleted list of the recommendations and prices. So all in all, it was a good deal in and of itself.

I contacted this company after I had a terrible experience with Accent Plumbing. They came out and provided me a valid quote and identified a serious issue with high PSI levels that no other plumber had identified. They did an excellent job in changing out the water heater and went above and beyond to get it replaced as soon as they could. They are a reputable and honest company and I will use them again.

On 5/1/13, I called All About The Pipes (AATP) Plumbing to repair a leaking refrigerator water line. On 5/3/13 the technician came to perform the repair. The line was a thin plastic tube that was connected to the copper pipe via a connector that "pierced" the copper pipe. These are commonly used for connecting refrigerators in homes that do not have built-in water line connections for refrigerator ice makers. I asked to have copper pipe extended to the back of the refrigerator and have a shut-off valve and reinforced braided waterline connected between the valve and the refrigerator as I was leery of the plastic tube leaking again in the future. I expected to pay $500-$700 to have this work completed. The technician told me that was not the proper way to fix the problem and that the current connection was the correct way to connect the water line. He simply disconnected the tube from the back of the refrigerator, cut out the leaking piece of tubing and reconnected the tube to the refrigerator. He monitored the tube for a few minutes to ensure it wasn't leaking and charged me $135.00 for the service call and repair. On 5/16/13 (just over two weeks later) while out of town, I received a call from my house-sitter stating that my kitchen was severely flooded and there was water spraying out from behind the refrigerator. I instructed my sitter on how to shut off the water to the refrigerator, immediately called AATP to notify them that I had another leak and caught the next flight home. The same technician came out the next day to review the problem. He said that he had never seen a tube crack after repairing and I asked him about performing the repair in a different manner. He stated as he had previously that the repair was done properly and if he did anything else, then I would have to pay additional charges for the repair. I questioned him on the additional charges based upon their work warranty stated on their invoice, and he told me that I would need to contact their office to discuss that. I also asked about compensation for the massive damage my home suffered, and he told me that is why you have homeowners' insurance. I sent him away as I did not want him performing any further work on my house. I then called and left a message at their office requesting a call to discuss the issue. Within a few hours I received a call from the supervisor (I do not recall his name) asking me my version of what happened and what I expected to have done. I told him my story, and he said that he needed to discuss the issue with the owner and he would contact me on Monday after they talked. That was May 17 and I have not heard anything from AATP since. This ordeal ended up costing thousands of dollars in water damage to my home, and in addition to the fee I had to pay AATP, I had to pay the deductible on my homeowners' insurance and I still do not have a working waterline to my refrigerator. When selecting a plumber, I chose AATP based upon my great previous experience with them. I would not use them again nor would I be comfortable recommending them to anyone else.

Response from All About The Pipes Plumbing
The customer's original call was for the repair of a leaking line under the refrigerator. Once the technician got there and assessed the job, he located a pin hole in the refrigerator supply line. The technician recommended to the homeowner to repair it with new materials which would include a new correct shut off and a braided non burst supply line to the fridge; however, the homeowner declined this repair at the time. He wanted the technician to just cut out the leak and repair the original line. Our technician proceeded with the repair (cutting out the leak and repairing original line) as per the homeowners request. Apparently, two weeks later another leak occurred so our technician was sent out the next day. Sure enough, the refrigerator line that we recommended to be replaced burst in another spot. Our technician recommended again that the line needed to be replaced and piped properly. The homeowner once again declined to have it piped the way we recommended. The homeowner then asked technician not to perform any work. The homeowner than called the service manager to explain the situation, and asked for me, the owner, to call him back. After I reviewed the paperwork and tracking tickets and had a discussion with the tech and service manager, I called the homeowner twice and left two numbers on his voicemail. He never returned my call. In closing, we reviewed the job prior to doing any work at this home. Our technician recommended twice to repipe the refrigerator line properly and [member name removed] refused this method asking us just to repair the leaking line that was already in place. We recommended against that but it is the homeowners choice. Recently, [member name removed] insurance company has contacted us regarding this situation and we provided them with all the paperwork showing that [member name removed] declined proper repairs. Our warranty is stated as such: two years on materials and labor provided by All About the Pipes Plumbing.

This is a great company to use. About three months ago I called around to several plumbers to get estimates on replacing my hot water heater. It was going on 14 years old so I knew it could fail at anytime and I wanted to replace it before it actually broke. Last night, I noticed a slight smell of gas and one of the fittings on the gas pipe going to the hot water heater was leaking. Chris V was one of the plumbers that gave me a proposal on the hot water heater replacement. After weeding through all the slightly different estimates (expansion tanks vs expansion values), I decided I was going to use Chris when the time came. Last night I decided it was time to go ahead and replace it since they were going to have to come out and repair the gas line anyway. I called at 7:15 this morning and the guys were at my house by 8:30. I was not expecting such fast service, early afternoon was more in line with what I was thinking. They replaced the unit, fixed the fitting and were out the door by noon. Very professional, cleaned up after their work and just overall very nice to work with. I will definately use this company again.

We found water leaking through our ceiling. After investigating, I found the drip pan of our water heater (in the attic) full and the plywood floor around the water heater wet. I assumed the water heater had rusted through, so I cut off the power and water to the tank, and called All About The Pipes Plumbing to come take a look. I called the plumbers Monday morning at 7:30 AM. The technician arrived by 9:15. After taking a quick look, he thought it sounded like the water heater had a leak, and quoted me a price of $1,300 to replace it. After talking a little bit, and some further investigation, he discovered that the tank wasn't leaking, it was a pipe exiting the tank. He replaced the section of pipe and was done in a little over an hour at a cost of $154.85. While he could've easily kept the leaky pipe to himself (I hadn't noticed it), and insisted the tank needed replaced, he seemed genuinely happy to inform me that it was a much smaller (and CHEAPER) job than I had anticipated. The technician was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and was very courteous and professional. I'm very happy with the service and will call them again in the future.

I have used All About the Pipes several times now, and I recieve fantastic service every time. On this occasion I scheduled a service call to replace my toilet and to fix a leaking faucet in the shower. As in the past, the plumber arrived on time. The toilet replacement was very easy, however the shower faucet was not. Due to the age of my bathroom, the plumber was unable to remove the valve without breaking my pipes. He was very thorough and explained the issue. I deceided to wait on a shower faucet fix and was pleased to have the option to do so. There was not an extra charge for time spent on the shower faucet since the repair couldn't be made. I will call on All About the Pipes this Fall for a bathroom shower overhaul. Thanks again ~ Rachael

Chevis Duncan called to let me know he was on his way to my house to make the repair. Arrived in the time he stated he would. I explained and showed him the problem with the flapper on the tank. He knew right away how to fix it. He replaced the old flapper with the new flapper. He flushed the toilet several times to ensure the flapper came down as it would in order for the tank to fill. He was very professional, courteous, and even took time to answer several questions I had about other types of toilets and to explain some of the differences. He asked if I had any other plumbing problems that he could take a look at. (I did not,) He wrote up the order, I paid , and he was on his way. It did not take very long at all. This is the second time I have used the services of All About the Pipes and I will definitely use them again when the need arises.

I was looking for a new plumber, as I had not had much success with many different companies in the past. I had several issues going on at my house. I had a flood, sewage backup and drain issues. I was going through Angie's List one day and came across this company. They had great reviews so I decided to give them a call. I spoke to Mary, their receptionist and was sold from the beginning. They've done A LOT of work for me over the years and they made me feel safe about having plumbers in my house again. Chris is an amazing person. He has a great investigative personality that allows him to leave no stone unturned. Everytime he's come out, whether to work on full plumbing disasters or simply fix a leaking faucet, he's done so with great work ethic. They aren't the cheapest plumbers, but there is nobody better.

Called the company to inquire about their services, costs, and availability on their schedule. They had an answering system and I left a message. A woman called back within a day or so and I explained the services we needed and explained we wanted to install a Toto toilet and asked if they serviced this brand. (We found some plumbers and companies hesitate to work on them). The woman told me they have technician/s who are experienced with this product and they would have no problem installing one. Just a note - there is a higher charge to install this toilet which we agreed to since we have used this brand before and are very pleased with it. We scheduled an appointment within a week's time, which worked well for us because our toilet was being shipped to us. On the day of service, their technician called us before coming to let us know his travel time and he was there promptly when he said he would arrive. He went right to work removing the old toilet. Some plumbers have issues in installing Toto's....whether it's their preference in brands or their ability to work with models that require more time we don't know, but that wasn't the case with our technician. Our water connection had to be moved to accommodate the new model and a flange that came with it had to be installed. The work was done efficiently and quickly with no problems. Our technician, Dan Montoni, is very professional and has a positive can-do attitude. My husband and I were both impressed with this young man. He was careful with the removal and installation, answered all our questions, and cleans up the area when he's done. The product is working perfectly and we are very glad we hired All About the Pipes. We certainly will hire them again and would recommend them highly.

The service went very well. I used to be a construction warranty supervisor and am familiar with construction service. The plumber was knowledgable . He helped with my questions. The bill was LESS than my quote. The only hiccup was a scheduling error on their part. They did come the same day, 2 1/2 hours late. One of my hose bibs was not accessible , plumber made repair with parts of other bibs. It saved a ton of money not to open a wall. I will use them again.

This is the second time I've called All About The Pipes for service. I've been very pleased with their service. I called today at noon to see about scheduling them to come and help us with a SLOOOWWWWW drain in one of our bathrooms. I didn't expect a same day appointment because of the time of day I was calling. Not only did they say they could show up around 3pm but they called about 2pm and asked if it was ok if they came out now. Prompt, professional, knowledgable, friendly. You might be able to find someone who charges less for simple service calls, but you won't find anyone more dependable.
