King & Queen of Clean

I purchased a lawn service deal ($40) through Angie's from this provider. I worked with Audrey Battle via email, who was very responsive and within a few days they were out at my home and completed the lawn mowing and trimming (as instructed). They did a great job and restored my faith in lawn service companies again. I would not hesitate to use them again. From experience, you can't always go by reviews posted on here. I used another highly rated company who did not provide half the customer service and attention to detail as this company.

Tell us the story from start to finish (10,000 character limit): Terrible. They mopped using a dirty mop which left streaks all over the floors, they left tons of cleaning product residue in shower, arrived late and left early. They didn't clean the kitchen because a canister still had tons of flour on it and the center island had stickiness on it prior to their arrival and was still there when they left. They were supposed to clean windows and when I emailed them after to ask why they left early and didn't finish, they said the voucher was for "up to" 3 hours (that's not true) and that the voucher didn't include windows (also not true). They also came with an approximately 12 year old child as their helper....

Well, they did it in the rain, which is not really the most ideal of condition. Lawn looks nice in front, less the clippings stuck to everything due to the weather. I would use them again if I could specify the conditions and show them the property boundaries. They offered to redo work, which in my book speak volumes about integrity.

They came on time and they worked the whole time. The only problem is that I ended up paying them quite a bit more money because they didn't finish the work within the $79, so I ended up paying them about double. But one of the things that bother me, is one of the people who was working, was on her cell phone a good part of the time and so I sort of felt like I wasn't getting the amount of work time that I should have. Other than that they were fine. That was the only thing that bugged me. I felt that if that person had been working more than speaking on the cell phone, I wouldn't have to pay quite as much. Although I knew that it was going to be a little more than the $79, because I wanted them to do two levels. They did a good job. My only complaint was that one of their people was diverted from the cleaning quite a bit. I think I would use them again.

The King and Queen of Clean crew showed up on time, worked hard, and did a good, professional job with everything they agreed to do. They worked quickly, and finished in under two hours. I would definitely hire them again. Our garage looks great!

Arrived earlier than expected, very quickly and efficiently removed all the junk we had piled up for them.

Upon arrival they announced they would only be here a specific amount of time and asked what I wanted them to do since a whole house cleaning was not possible. They left many areas in my home untouched. I have a 2800 sq ft home and was expecting a complete clean. What they cleaned they did OK, and my bathroom grout, they did an excellent job on, but some areas that I asked they not do, i.e. I was washing my mattress covers so don't do the beds, they made with no mattress covers. Also they skipped the living room, office, kitchen, and when they left after cleaning my downstairs powder room, the last room before exiting the home, the toilet overran and ruined my hardwoods in the foyer, which I am now getting estimates for replacement on. I don't know if it is related, but a strange coincidence that it happened immediately after their exit that day, and was the first time it had happened.

It did not go well. The pole on the dresser had been broken off and just left there. There were layers of dust on the table that they did not wipe after they did not dust. There was silt on the countertop. It did not appear very clean after they cleaned it.

Not the best house cleaning experience I've had. The provider was prompt, polite and friendly, and asked questions as needed. However, the service I purchased was a "whole house deep clean", and I don't agree that that was provided. My rooms were dusted, kitchen/bathroom wiped down, floors swept and mopped....and that's about it. To me, that is a standard clean, not a deep clean. In addition, I could see where dust remained under some furniture (i.e. mop didn't reach all the way under the couch), kitchen appliances not wiped down, etc. And I noted the all-purpose cleaner the provider used and googled it later, only to learn it is rather chemically and, in my opinion, nasty and potentially harmful. All in all, my house looked fine, but for a "whole house deep clean", I was pretty disappointed.

It was excellent. They were professional and courteous and did a great job.

I couldn't be happier! I have purchased some house cleaning coupons through Groupon & Living Social in the past and usually have a hard time getting someone to call me back to set up an appointment (much less get on their schedule to actually get my house cleaned). King & Queen of Clean responded right away, got me on their next available appointment and did a WONDERFUL job cleaning our home! I would highly recommend them and plan on setting up a monthly cleaning service with them starting next month...thank you!

My husband called last nite because I had surgery and cannot talk and the man said he would call him back and he did not. Since the rain and they never could get us scheduled we were reported to the city for durham for not mowing grass!

Whoever thought junk removal could be so much fun! After an awful weekend of tidying a crawl space/basement out, Audrey and Maurice turned up and made the final job of removal, not only easy, but light hearted! They quickly piled the stuff up, checking and sorting for recycling and items to pass on to others. We had to purchase an extra trip as we had a massive 20 years of stuff piled up, but it was well worth it. If you've got junk call these nice people!

This was an amazing deal. Very thorough cleaning. Would definitely hire them again.

I was not particularly impressed with King & Queen of Clean. I felt like they did not do a thorough job. I just felt like they were not detail-oriented. Certain things didn't get done well, in my opinion. I would not use them again.

After several emails trying to agree on a time and date, we scheduled the cleaning for June 7 at 12:30. At that time nobody showed up to clean. I called the office number around 1 pm and left a message. I did not hear from anyone until Wednesday, June 12. Someone contacted me by email and said something about having phone trouble and that's why they couldn't call me. I found the lack of communication unreasonable. I did not want them to come and clean after all that. I felt that they wouldn't do a good job if they can't even come at the correct time.

You need to have an A-plus rating scale for these good people. The yard was done to perfection. Not only did they mow and trim the entire yard they came back the following day to finish up outside the back fence and cleaned up storm debris that had blown into the yard after a big wind storm the night before. This is customer service above and beyond what I have experienced or expected. Everything was done on time -- punctual arrival, excellent attention to every detail. Great follow-up on the phone to let us know they were coming back on Friday to finish up. All in all, this was a terrific experience. I would recommend them hands down and without hesitation. I don't believe you can go wrong based on what they showed. If this is typical of how they do their work, and I think it is, I would sure as heck employ them. My daughter and my wife join me in this hearty endorsement.

I was very happy with their service. They showed up 15 minutes early and even cleaned my ceiling fans!

Everything looked great that he did and he was fast too. I made an appointment for him to come back and trim a long row of hedges in my backyard and also want this company to be the regular care taker of my yard. This man took great pains to do the job right and I appreciate that so much. Also what I liked most of all is that he does not overcharge people just because they are in need of grass care. This was $45.00 well spent. A real bargain. This is a really nice company and I feel so lucky to have found them on Angie's List.

The cleaning was not as thorough as I would have liked - for instance, the soap dish in the bathroom still had hardened soap all over it. The cleaner was 30 minutes early, which was good for me, but for future clients who might be leaving work to be there, I'm not so sure. I paid for 4 hours of service, and she was there for about 3.5...

The staff showed up on time and spent several hours cleaning the whole house: floors, blinds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the showers and tubs, etc. Although a couple of details were missed, they did a great job and I am sure they would take care of those minor points next time they visit.

They arrived on time, They took everything out of the garage and separated it into two piles - one for junk, and one to keep. Then they swept out the garage, and also used a mop to get all the cobwebs. Anything I was keeping they dusted off and neatly put back, then loaded up anything I wasn't keeping, and hauled it off. Worth every penny.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I bought to tack onto the end. She seems really great. She is a really nice lady. My mom is elderly and we had to work out the schedule. She keeps in touch. She came last Wednesday but she had strep throat and my mom had to tell her she couldn't come when she was sick because my dad is immune compromised so my mom had to send her away. She works really hard. I have to call Audrey myself because my mom told me this and she is 84. She was really wonderful about doing the gift and setting up the dates. My mom has complained about the work. The price was great. I need to call her to set up an exact time and tell her to call if she isn't going to be there at that time. She returns my calls immediately.

Overall the cleaning went fairly well. The cleaning person was professional but not overly friendly. The appointment was originally scheduled for 5/20. But due to a school bus accident the cleaning person had to reschedule at the last minute. The cleaners did an adequete job but compared to other service providers we've had clean our house they where the lowest performing in how thorough they cleaned.
