Description of Work: Cleaned 11 ducts but charged for 13. Two ducts were apparently detached. They did not fix them. They left before I got back. Did the job in 1.5 hours instead of the 3 hours that I was told. The mildew smell which just came about a couple of days ago through my brand new copper registers in a house that has had the A/C on for months, though vacant while kitchen reno had been going on, is now worse than before. I cannot even run my A/C, because they didn't turn the A/C on prior to leaving to test it, which I was told, they always do by the secretary. The smell of mildew is so apparent in the house from the ducts that smelled wet after we turned the A/C on until the smell of muggy mildew was too strong. SO I turned it off. I am now living in 89 degree weather and sleeping in 98% humidity. The mananger who spoke with me at great length now told me that if I had opted to use their chlorinated chemical there would be no smell of mildew and that it was never guaranteed. I was told all kinds of pictures were taken of my ducts and that a complete email would be sent with photos and description of the condition of my ducts. But they left early yesterday and did not show up for work today. So I spent my money and I am worse off than before I called. They need to fix the problem and soon or I am going to contact my attorney since they are licensed, bonded and insured. I would not recommend this company!! Just received a call from Darren "The Contractors Duct Guru" He said you never use water in a duct. These guys used a hose!!! I want my money back!

Description of Work: Arrived at the appointed time. reviewed the work to be done and the procedures involved. Cleaned 35 years of dust and mold from the airways and ducts. |Painted some insulation inside the air handler (cleaned this BTW). Did not break for lunch,completed the work. took a credit card for the job. |Provided guidance and experience for dealing with a variety of other issues. Recommended another contractor for HVAC work I need done.

Description of Work: Very efficient, careful, and thorough. Gave us lots of good tips too, especially on allergy-related issues and types of filters to use.

Description of Work: I have 12 supply vents and 4 return air vents (and duct work) that needed cleaning. They two fellows, Scott and Robert were efficient and did a nice job.

Description of Work: Clean 21 duct and 3 returns that had not been cleaned in 15 years. Sanitized and did a outstang job. Very nice young man and very polite. Worked over 4 hours as it was a big job and he made sure it was right.

Description of Work: Vacuumed ducts and unit. Checked for leaks. Repaired a few minor leaks for extra $50.00. Very professional and explained everything.

Description of Work: On 10/6/09 my husand phoned this company requesting cleaning of our duct system. They offered an appointment of 3:30pm the next day for a $135.00 cleaning fee. One worker showed up promptly and behaved courteously at all times.He said he had come to clean our wood stove. "Do you have a wood stove?" Startled, I said we did not request that at all. We had a wood stove, but why would we want that cleaned? Rather we had asked for the cleaning of our air duct system. I phoned my husband, who made the appointment, to be sure. Startled, he also said, "Wood stove?!" I asked the worker if he had the equipment to clean the air duct system. He said yes. He counted the vents and air intake sites and set up to clean. "Oh," he said, "This will be $350.00." I said our telephone agreement was for a $135.00 air duct cleaning. He apologized, but said his company charged by the number of vents and air intakes and it was $350.00. I said we could not pay that much and we would decline the cleaning. He said there was a $75.00 charge for coming out. I refused that, saying it seemed like a bait and switch, although I did not think he was responsible. He made out the bill which I refused to sign. He acted uncomfortable. I offered to call his boss. I did immediately phone him and explained the situation. His boss, Marshall, spoke angrily, yelling and said he would take us to small claims court; he would file immediately and we would have to pay a long list of fees. I said, "Go for it." I stayed on the line until he hung up. I had spoken in a composed manner but clearly explained our position. I suppose I am fortunate that I have not personally had such an experience previously. We have not ever been threatened with a small claims court suit, let alone for something like this.
