Buffalo was able to start work shortly after the insurance gave the ok to proceed. Buffalo however was only able to dedicate two individuals to the task.. We took it upon ourselves to get more labor to speed up the process. We were working hard to have move date more in line with the insurance company estimates. Buffalo and many members of our family worked side by side to complete the cleaning and packing of the contents of our home. The work was basic and easily completed. With the help of our extra labor we were able to cut the estimated time by more then half. The demolition work and as well the rebuilding were completed by another contractor. Buffalo cleaned and deodorized the structure after the contents had been stored. Buffalo performed the cleaning and deodorizing process adequately. The reason for the low scores are the high prices, and poor communication. Without going into specific detail Buffalo's prices are way above insurance standard rates. Our adjuster had to add about $7000 after receiving Buffalo's invoice, which was almost double what the insurance estimated for that portion. We were also told by Buffalo that we were charged a higher labor rate since they did not receive the entirety of the project. We were confused by this since they did have the labor at the start to commit to the project. Communication was hit and miss. Buffalo authorized it's employee's to complete work that the adjuster had not approved, work that we had also said to hold off on. Emails and questions regarding work and work performed received slow responses until Buffalo was ready to be paid. In the end I believe the same quality of work could have been achieved at a much lower price. Recommend shopping around.
