My refrigerator stopped making things cold. I called Northland Service and they came the next day as I needed. The fan had broken. They had the part in the truck and were able to replace it and the it started working right away.

I contacted Northland regarding my washing machine. They set up an appointment that worked with my schedule. The repairman arrived within the stated time window, and Northland kept me updated prior to his arrival. The repairman, Bob, quickly diagnosed the problem, an over-clogged filter, and made the repair. He checked the machine for proper function prior to leaving. Bob showed my how to clean the filter, which is not in the owner's manual, so that I might save the money for a visit in the future. The apparently over-stressed pump went out the next day. Bob returned for no extra trip fee and replaced the pump. The machine has been working fine for several days now and the wife is happy. Life, once again, is peaceful. My overall impression is that this is an honest, competent business that is very worthy of your consideration.

My Maytag Neptune dryer stopped working properly. I called Northland Appliance Services on a Friday afternoon; unfortunately, they didn't have anyone available to take a look at the dryer right away, and they aren't open on weekends. They were friendly, told me they would take my name and call me if anything changed and encouraged me to give someone else a call if I needed the repair completed over the weekend. I called Appliance Repair Incorporated (ARI) out of Blaine, and they sent a repair technician out to my home on Saturday morning. Once the technician took my dryer apart, he essentially told me everything abou the dryer was wrong; the venting was installed improperly, I needed a new heating element, new thermo fuse, new wiring, new ventilation tubing, and a vent cleaning for a total of $485. I told the technician thanks for his time, paid him his $89.95 service fee and showed him the door. Something abou the technician bothered me and he seemed like a shyster. I called Northland Appliance back on Monday and scheduled an appt. for Wednesday morning. The Northland Appliance technician (Bob was his name) arrived a little late, but was appologetic and very friendly. He immediately took the dryer apart and showed me where a wire had broken away from a contact and also told me that a thermo fuse was blown. I asked him if the heating element was bad and he indicated that it tested fine. He also said the dryer did not need to be re-vented. He completely cleaned the unit, lubed all of the moving parts and replaced the thermo fuse. The dryer was up and running in about two hours and sounds and works better than ever. I asked Bob how much I owed him and the tab was $180!! $300 less than the estimate from the shady technician at ARI. If you want quality work done by honest people, give Northland Appliance Services a call!

Called at 9 AM and the technician arrived about 12:30PM, repair took 1/2 hour at the estimate given before he started. Excellent service.

great. No problems, called and was given a time window, however they said if a Wednesday morning freed up we could call and be the first job of the day. It worked out we could do Wednesday morning so they came out first thing fixed it and left.

Two days before I was to leave on a major trip, I discovered there was a residue/leak on the coils at the bottom of my refrigerator/freezer. I called Northland after finding them on Angie's List. One of the owners returned the call within half an hour and then had the receptionist schedule a technician to come that same afternoon. Bob was at my house by 4 PM and immediately diagnosed the problem. He explained what had happened and then cleaned away the insulation that had caked onto the coils. After that he cleaned out the entire bottom of the refrigerator and suoggested that I purchase a tool ($8) for easy cleaning in the future. I was impressed with his professionalism and his friendly attitude. What I thought would be a pre-trip nightmare turned out to be a very positive experience. Northland is definitely on my list of repair companies.

They were responsive in scheduling, gave good advice on "repair vs replace," and gave a "worst case" estimate on the phone, so it was good news when fewer parts needed to be replaced. The price seemed quite reasonable compared to the other service I checked.

The work was done in minimal time and disruption, very professionally. The system was recharged to bring it into the recommended cold range for the freezer section. Our next decision is whether to have the unit completely reworked, or to buy a totally new one.

Everything works great now. Bob had the parts for the dryer and fixed that on the initial call. He had to order the two burners for my stove and returned to install them when the parts arrived.

The gentleman arrived and took a look at my broken washing machine. He was honest and said it could be fixed but that it would be cheaper to get a new one. He also gave us some suggestions on what to look for and what to avoid. All-in-all, he was very friendly and helpful even if he couldn't fix our washer.

A very professional company with an emphasis on customer service. The first person I called groused about the inaccessibility of the part to be replaced and suggested that he might not be able to install it properly. This person simply did the job. Although he was running late, the office kept us informed and he came out after 5:00, instead of bumping us to the next day. Will definitely use them again.

Excellent experience! They had someone out in a couple days from when I called. The guy who showed up was punctual, friendly, and very professional. He checked the dryer and found a slow leak in the gas valve. A price quote was given on the spot and he called the office to check part availability and confirm price. The dryer was about 15 yrs old and the price to fix it was about 50% of the cost of a new dryer. Repairman was fair and gave us a good assessment of the value of fixing it. We decided not to fix and instead purchase a new, more modern dryer.
