Scot did a fantastic job to fix a newly installed buckled shake siding issue where the contractor refused to fix citing they were not "carpenters". Scot is a very professional and efficient contractor, with skilled craftsmen and worked timely to complete the job to my satisfaction!

Besides challenges obtaining the custom window due to COVID production delays, the entire project went very smoothly and quick (3 days start to finish). Very impressed with the lead carpenter, Matt, who was very communicative on the design and next steps during the process. The owner Scot, checked in with me daily.
Description of Work: Reframed a large kitchen window that required extending the roof line, large custom sliding window, drywall, etc.

It really looked nice at first. A month after the installation everything started falling off the house. He wouldn't come back out for the longest time. He did come out and fix the issue by nailing the siding back to the home. We eventually went to court and won, but have had the hardest time getting paid back from this company. We still have not been paid.

I wish I could give 0 stars...I met with Scott Weaver at my condo to get a price to repaint the entire unit. Scott seemed like a good guy, we bs'd for a minute or two as he told me that he's done a handful of these exact units and would get me a great price, his guys would fly through it the following week. Scott told me he'd follow up the next day with a price. After not hearing back, I text him 2 days later, he immediately responded with a price, $200 lower than my closest bid, I then confirmed with him and scheduled the work the following week. We text back and forth a few times that day and he was very responsive. I immediately scheduled my flooring to be installed and my cleaners to follow up right after. I bought the paint that weekend, dropped it off at the condo, Tuesday, I dropped off my key at his office so they may begin. Here's where everything went downhill.... 3 hours later I received an email from his office with requesting a 50% deposit and stating the price was a "per floor" price... on a condo, a single unit. I called back to give them my credit card for the deposit, no problem, figured Scott must have forgotten to mention it. I also mentioned that they made a mistake on the quote, and the price was not a per floor price, Scott quoted me that for the entire unit. I emailed the office my text correspondence from Scott and I as well, so they wouldn't think I was trying to pull a fast one on them. I then received an email from their office stating that the price was a PER FLOOR price, no additional info, just $xxxx.xx was a per floor price, nothing else... as if I was completely in the wrong. I text Scott, citing our interaction and the fact that he seemed like a stand up guy and hoped he'd at least acknowledge that he made a mistake and apologize... nothing... not even a response. I've painted a handful of houses, 20 or so condo's and thousands of 2 story apartments. Never once have I been given a price per floor... ****, what about the stairway leading up the 2nd floor, is that extra? Mistakes happen, I understand that, but own up to them. Either make it right and honor your word, especially if it's in writing, or own up to the mistake and simply apologize and come to a resolution. Failure to respond and treating a customer like they're completely in the wrong is poor business and reflects on the character of the organization. Not only am I scrambling to reschedule with a respectable painter, I'm rescheduling my other contractors to get their work done. Unfortunately I may lose my renters as well, due to the poor character and business practices of Scott Weaver and Leave It To Weaver.

Response from LEAVE IT TO WEAVER
Mr. [Member Name Removed], I apologize for the miscommunication regarding your job. We do not customarily give verbal bids as much as we wish we could. Each job is different and we prefer to provide written proposals so it is clear and specific what work is to be performed. A proposal was provided to you in detail dated 4/25/17 which states the specs as well as payment agreement. Hopefully my response explains our side of the bidding process and we wish you luck in your project. Christine Weaver

Worst experience with a contractor we have ever had. Tile work and cabinet installation had to be redone due to sloppy workmanship. Debris from tile installation was swept into furnace vents. Only professional job was done by the painter although he kept being pulled off the job to do other work. Work started on 2/17 and was not completed until 3/18. Owner did not follow up after work was completed. Would not recommend this contractor for anything!

We met with Scot initially and he gave us different options for the space we had available and were very impressed with his ideas. The job started shortly after we accepted the proposal and was done with in about a month. Scot's staff was professional and accommodating to our needs. The work turned out great and the space is just what we needed.
Description of Work: Weaver finished a partial of our basement for additional living space for our kids and the work was done efficient and to the level we wanted.

I signed the contract with Leave It to Weaver in February of 2012 when the owner (Scot Weaver) said it would only take 6-8 weeks to complete the project. Scot rarely if ever returned my phone calls, and the project is still not completed (over 16 MONTHS later). I have been working with the St. Louis Better Business Bureau to try to resolve the issues. Basically, the finish work is terrible. In particular, the taping, mud work, and painting is below poor. Seven of my floor tiles were broken by the Weaver team, and I finally had someone show up to repair them, but they only replaced 2 of the 7! They got paint all over my fridge and window and marred the new cabinets I had them install for my wet bar. I chose Weaver because his bid was the lowest one and because he showed me photos of the wonderful work he had done. Also, Scot seemed to be a generally good guy. Unfortunately, I came to find that he is very uneducated and appears to have no business or organizational skills. Further, the quality of the work is poor at best (assuming you can get anyone from the company to even show up to the worksite).
Description of Work: Finished my basement (about 800-100 sq ft.) including stubbing in and finishing a 3/4 bath, installing wet bar, all electrical, plumbing (including gas fireplace), tile work, carpeting, and painting.
Description of Work: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Now he will not even return our call to fix the awful mistakes! for $90K + I expected MUCH MORE!

Every aspect of this project was horrible due to Weaver's inexperience, inability to provide quality work, ineptitude at understanding how the parts of the project should look and be finished. For example, the "stamping" job was pathetic. The concrete work includes a "curved" stamped pad which is jagged. Many stamped areas are so faint (because the concrete was too dry) they are barely perceptible and others were so rough that we fear our children will cut their feet walking over the sharp edged left by Scot Weaver (he personally handled most of the stamping). The roof Weaver installed leaked. The two screen doors for the space have already been replaced, which took four months of escalating complaints to resolve. The entire concrete pad is already in need of replacement (and a lawsuit is in development now). The deck was the best part of the project and it already has signs of poor worksmanship, such as popping nails and irregular cuts. The job took months longer than promised, required countless follow-up calls and supervision of Weaver and his staff members, and resulted in a sub-standard product and even worse customer service. Note that Weaver is no longer at that TCW address. In efforts to provide legal correspondence to Weaver to ensure fulfillment of 1-year warranty and promises made to fix problems with Weaver's work, I tracked him down to: Leave It To WeaverCommercial & Home Improvements, LLC; 1244 Continental DriveWentzville, Missouri 63385.
Description of Work: We selected Scot Weaver's company after bid process and calls to Weaver's 3 references. The job was a 15x18 cedar deck, a 15x22 stamped concrete pad and screened in porch, and a 22x25 stamped concrete pad. References checked out for deck work, but did not notice none had concrete work done.

The project was never completed, it all had to be torn out and redone. I would not recommend this company to flush my toilet. Buyer BEWARE! Even though we went to their warehouse and were impressed, I warn they have great sales tactics but the work has more complaints than imaginable. Check the BBB, this is a below grade F company. Just terrible.
Description of Work: This Company is terrible. We Hired Scott Weaver to remodel our bathroom to specific drawings. Not only is the bath not to specs, the wiring and plumbing are all wrong! They urinated in a bottle and left it, along with drug paraphernalia. We are pursuing legal actions against this company and warn anyone against the smooth sales tactics of Scot Weaver.

The whole experience was a nightmare. Beginning with the bid process all the way to the end. Scot Weaver did the bid himself (a fast talker and promises a lot you will never get) we both signed the line item agreement, then a few weeks later he brings a new agreement with the words PROPOSAL stamped all over the top of every page and needs it re- signed. I should have ran then. After that there was never on price target. He always talked about there being a 10% over run in the project and believe me he planned to get that money. When challenged he would get angry and defensive and I finally got him to admit when he was off $23,000 on the air conditioning number that he just GUESSED at the bid numbers. So don't expect any number he gives you be be accurate. I ended up being the GC on the job. His men were actually very good, just no boss on site, ever! They did not have direction, would not know how to do something, or would start something that would totally cause damage that a Boss on site would immediately be able to correct. I saved Weaver thousands of dollars by being on site every day and working side by side with his people. Instead of a Thank you, I was told I was difficult to work with. He was going to put 4 inch metal screws up thru my roofing deck in the warehouse and destroy 6000 sq feet of roof. I helped find the information he needed to pass inspection on the seismic ceiling grid. He left huge holes in the roof (uncovered) where the new air units were to go and let the rain ruin new carpet and walls - I had to call him when it started to rain as he had no one on site. To cap it all off, I ask to pay for the project and could not get any final paperwork until a month later. I had to even get my bank, the SBA and the BBB to get a simple Final Draw statement so I could pay them and get my loan financed. Weaver was intentially doing everything he could to cause delays and cause the loan to go into default by not being to close within its set time frame. Weaver claims a 1 year warranty. Do not count on it. The Cove Base was falling off the same day it was put on. When I called and told him the man putting it on needed to be pulled off the project, he ignored me and let him do the entire building, today 3 months later I am still re-glueing cove base. Doors are hung crooked so badly you can see into the next room thru the door seam. Walls that were patched are cracked ceiling to floor. Insulation above the ceiling tiles that we paid for is missing all over in places. Ceramic tile in the bathrooms was laid uneven and is now rocking and popping the grout seams. The taped seams in the warehouse insulation is falling (where we patched it using the same product it is holding beautifully.)
Description of Work: Commerical finish on existing building. Was GC for HVAC, Electrical, plumbing and carpet, but performed all other work with his own people. Other work included ceramic flooring, counter tops, cabinets, ceiling grid, insulation, dry wall, doors, acid stain floor, cove base install, paint, and warehouse ceiling insulation.

When they came out, they did the deck, but I wasn't happy that they didn't complete the job. It just wasn't done to my satisfaction at all, and I still have a problem.
Description of Work: I had a deck replaced, and they didn't put on a "soffit" board. Squirrels then made a home under the roof that was extended over the deck.
