Pro-Pest - St Louis

We used Pro-Pest in our previous home years ago but since moving into this home in 2014 we had not had any serious issues until about three mos. ago. We weren't even sure they were actually brown recluse. Once that was confirmed we called for bids. Pro-Pest's offer on Angie's List was (is) a very good price. Not having used Angie's List previously we were anticipating a good experience but one never knows for sure. Our technician (Matt) called when he was 20 min. away and we appreciated the heads up on his arrival time. He inquired as to exactly where we'd seen the spiders in particular and then he sprayed the entire interior perimeter. Once he completed the inside he went outside and sprayed. Because we live in a townhouse we wanted to stop any migration from our unit to the next door neighbor's and visa versa. We have a mini-dachshund and we kept her close to us for the 30 minutes following the spraying just to keep her extra safe. The treated surfaces were dry in a little over 30 minutes. Pro-Pest will come out two more times (both are covered by the package we purchased through AL) and we are confident the appointments will be equally as good. (By the way, yesterday we actually found a spider that had managed to cross through the spray line, but it was dead. It's the only one we've seen since the treatment. Gives a new perspective on the phrase, 'stopped dead in his tracks.') Wasn't sure how they would handle the subsequent visits and was told they will call the day before since gaining entrance is not necessary. It will be an exterior treatment. However, if we see any live spiders/bugs we were encouraged to call and they would come out and retreat at no additional expense. Very pleased with the experience. It's nice to flip the light on in the unfinished area of the basement and not see one running for cover!

Not impressed, man showed up, no advice, walked around spraying, I had to remind him to spray under sinks, steps, storage room in basement., just squirts it on EVERYTHING. I could walk around spraying bug killer myself, a lot cheaper. my concern about spiders that are not affected by spray, he sprayed bug spray on all 15 spider sticky traps. great ,now I can spend 40 bucks more for replacement sticky traps.

Terrible communication - would not reply to emails or calls to set up the initial appointment. Not sure why they even bother to participate in the specials.

Good. They were prompt and sprayed for pests. Good results.

It does not work. I have had 3 treatments and it has not made one bit of difference. I was told after the first treatment to wait 10 days and if it was ineffective I could ask them to come back. I first tried emailing the person who had scheduled the initial visit and did not get a response. After the third time I called and did receive a prompt call back. However, I was told they would not be "in my area" for a few weeks. They finally came but it was only a few days before my second scheduled treatment.

Good. Arrivrd on time did work and left

Fine. They came as schedule and no mosquitos.

He came in on time and sprayed the house. He gave me advice on how to deal with them. He gave me strips to catch them on the floor in the basement. So far, i haven't seen anything.

This was purchased through Angies list and the information indicated this was for 1 year. It was to be a professional full house protection and they would treat inside, outside and attic. They did spray inside, basement and outside, but not the attic. My wife even asked where silverfish would normally come from and the tech said attic, but did not touch it,

Techs are very competent and do a thorough job. They are also good about coming back if there is a need. However, pricing is not consistent. If you call them for service you get one price and it seems to vary depending on how busy they are. If you wait for them to call you, there is a much better price quoted. Almost causes us to not use them.

They did great. Actually had to come back a second time to do the outside because it was raining when they came the first time.

The scheduling process went very smoothly. I like that the initial contact was immediate and offered options to schedule right away. The service provider, Tom, was knowledgeable and educates in what he was doing and what he found. We are very happy with the experience.

Overall they were very good except for at the beginning once I paid they forgot about me for several months and I had to chase them down for my appointment dates once I got that established everything was fine

They would never call to schedule or return my phone call. I had to go to Angies list to complain before receiving a call more than 3 weeks after paid for service. A week after that found out they didn't service my area.

Seemed to work well. Got one or two bites about two weeks later so had them come back which they happily did. Very professional

Schedueling was easy. The serviceman arrived in the alloted time and performed the service efficiently but the effectiveness of the extermination did not last long. The wasps have not returned but the ants were back within days and the spiders within the first month.

When I bought the deal on Angie's List, I listed my available times. I received an email shortly after to confirm my address, and then a phone call (they left a message) a day or so later with the scheduled time. The worker arrived within the window, and was prompt and courteous.

They were professional and kept me informed as they had to make 2 trips because it was raining on their 1st trip and had to return to work outside.

I had to call back for a second application. They were out immediately and did a great job and said to call again if I saw any pests inside or outside. Courteous and professional.
