Walked into Edwards and gave them a drawing with dimensions of two bedrooms. I said I wanted their inexpensive grade carpet. He took my name, phone #, and address and said he would let me know if he could come out in two days to look and give me an estimate. Never heard back from them. Maybe two bedrooms with inexpensive carpet isn't worth their time, but just tell me that. Don't just not call back.

Description of Work: We replaced the carpet for our upstairs and stairway. Everyone was super professional and nice, and the carpet is pretty, but it's showing "paths" already, which makes me think it may be lower quality than I was lead to believe. The installation, etc was super professional.

My complaint with Edwards is misleading advertising and their refusal to stand behind the quality of their product. Based on radio advertisements for carpeting on sale that would give long life and stain resistance, I went to Edwards in November 2012 to purchase carpeting. I told them that I wanted this to be good quality, long-lasting carpet, hopefully the last I would need to purchase. The salesperson demonstrated apathy, almost as though I had disturbed his never-ending coffee break. He showed me 3and quot; square samples of what the advertised products were, which were represented to have 10 year wear and stain protection, and assured me that this was a product that would last and give great performance. Once installed, the carpet immediately began to show no evidence of stain release; in fact, it seems to be a stain magnet. In addition, the carpet is showing extremely premature wear, based on the representations of the radio advertisements and the sales representative at their store. Because of the disappointing performance, while the carpet was still under the warranty, I went to the main store and spoke directly with the son of Mark Goldstein (Edwards' General Manager and radio spokesperson), who is also a sales representative. I explained my disappointment with the product. Mr. Goldstein told me that the product the original (apathetic) salesperson sold me was never intended to be long-lasting and stain resistant, contrary to that sales rep's promises. He said if I wanted that kind of product, it would cost me more than the sale price I had paid, despite the claims of his salesperson. I then asked if we could compromise by my purchasing an upgrade and having the price I had paid deducted from the price of the upgrade. I was flatly turned down and told there was nothing they could do. I will never purchase anything from Edwards again and make a point to warn others not to be taken in by their false advertising.
