Alterra Pest Control

Description of Work: Through Angie's List, we contracted a 12 month commitment with Alterra for routine pest control. Alterra called regularly to let us know when they would be out to service our home, often leaving messages with the date of service. We were asked to unlock our back gates if we were not going to be home during their visit, a task I often forgot to do. I am not sure then if my all my yards were covered, but we always got a note indicating they'd been here. If I had an interim problem (usually with ants), they would come out promptly and treat the area where possible. | |In short, our service experience with Alterra has been positive. However, at $90 per visit, some may say their rates are high. We have changed providers solely based on rates, able to get service without a contract for as low as $45 per visit. So far, the new company has been equally as effective in terms of pest control and their professionalism is comparable. Time will tell, however. In sum, then, Alterra has no service deficiencies and operates professionally. They just charge more for those qualities than I'm comfortable paying.

Description of Work: I just have them do the perimiter of the house. But since I have been using them I have had no pest problems at all.

Description of Work: Mike C. did our quarterly service today. As usual Alterra's technician was very courteous, friendly, and professional. He explained what he would do and promptly agreed to treat an additional inside area when I requested this additional service. Alterra's service is a little pricey, but it works! We don't see bugs! It seems you DO get what you pay for in this case. I would recommend Alterra.
