+ -1 moreI CALLED THIS COMPANY (BARRY WOOD AT AFFORDABLE PAINTING) FOUR SEPARATE TIMES, ON DIFFERENT DAYS AND DIFFERENT TIMES OF THE DAY IN THE SPRING. THERE WAS ALWAYS A VERY PLEASANT ANSWERING SERVICE THAT TOOK MY NAME AND PHONE NUMBER, BUT I NEVER EVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. I EVEN LEFT MESSAGES THAT I HAD BEEN REFERRED TO HIM BY A PREVIOUS CLIENT WHO TOLD ME WHAT A GOOD EXPERIENCE THEY HAD WITH HIM (TRUE) AND THAT I WAS ALSO A REFERRAL FROM ANGIE'S LIST, TO NO AVAIL. I'M SURE THAT HE IS VERY BUSY THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, BUT I WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED AT LEAST ONE CALL BACK. TOO BAD.

+ -1 moreIT WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I CALLED THE OWNER ABOUT GETTING AN ESTIMATE ON PAINTING A RENTAL PROPERTY THAT I OWN. SINCE I DO NOT LIVE THERE, HE TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD CALL ME ON THE NEXT SATURDAY MORNING BY 9:15 AND MEET ME AT THE PROPERTY SHORTLY THEREAFTER. WHEN HE HADN'T CALLED BY 9:30 I CALLED HIM. HE TOLD ME THAT HE COULDN'T CALL ME BECAUSE HE HAD LEFT MY NUMBER AT HIS HOME. WHEN I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS GOING TO MEET ME THAT DAY, HE BECAME VERY IRRITABLE AND TOLD ME THAT HE WAS BUSY. WHEN I REMINDED HIM THAT HE HAD PICKED THIS DATE TO MEET ME, HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAD DONE ME A FAVOR BY CALLING ME INITIALLY DURING THE DAY AT MY WORK NUMBER! WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT I DID NOT CONSIDER IT A FAVOR TO CALL MY CUSTOMERS BACK AT MY BUSINESS, HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAD MORE WORK THAN HE COULD HANDLE, DIDN'T NEED MY JOB, AND HUNG UP. I WAS NOT RUDE SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND HIS HOSTILITY. I HAVE TO WONDER HOW HE WOULD HANDLE ANY DISPUTES SOMEONE HAD ABOUT HIS WORK. I WOULD NEVER HIRE HIM.

+ -1 moreTHE WORK WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY, IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND THEY DID A NICE JOB. HIS BID WAS ROUGHLY 60% OF THE NEXT LOWEST BID ON MY LIST. BECAUSE HE WAS RECOMMENDED BY ANGIE'S LIST, I CHOSE HIM TO DO THE WORK, AND I WAS NOT AT ALL DISAPPOINTED.
Description of Work: CLEANED, SCRAPED, AND PAINTED 3100 SQ FT HOUSE WITH THREE LARGE DORMERS.
