Kennedy Painting

The crew had to work around a lot of rain delays and completed the job in a timely manner, given the weather. Whole crew were professional and Mike the crew leader did a good job supervising. Extra carpenter work was cleared ahead of time and fairly priced. The owner(Sean) visited the site early on and appeared to be on-hands with his crew. Based upon previous experience with other house painters, I would say they were the best I have dealt with over the past 30 years we have owned the house. The original proposal process went smoothly and Amy was very professional and thorough. Their bid was not the lowest but the quality of the proposal and attention to detail was the determining factor.

The lead painter, Shannon, and others did a great job on painting and crack repair. Shannon checked with me each evening and before weekend on whether the work site was cleaned up satisfactorily. Kennedy Painting worked with me on scheduling to find a mutually good time.

Amy was prompt, professional, and shared several great ideas. We chose a different company with a slightly lower price but equal ratings on Angie's List.

The wood work took about a half day. It was completed satisfactory. The painting took 4 1/2 days. The crew was very curteous. Some minor touch up was need at the end of the job. That work was completed to satisfation the next day.

She provided separate estimates for each piece of work so that we could pick and choose exactly what we wanted done in each room. Her subject matter knowledge concerning painting and colors is impressive and she made the color selection experience an easy and pleasant process as she discussed the pros and cons of colors and color combinations, paint finishes, and the overall effect of the various colors throughout the first floor of our home. - The estimate included a thorough and detailed description of what to expect during the job as well as what to do in advance of the crew's arrival. - The day before the start date the crew leader came to the house to perform a walk-through and discuss the details of the work assignment for each room. We even made some last minute changes and additions which were all accommodated for. - The painting and carpentry work is beautiful and really exceeded our expectations. - On the last day after the final walk through the crew leader told us to call in the next weeks in case we found any defects that needed touching up. - We are very happy with the work and would use Kennedy Painting again!!

It went quite well. Painters moved and covered all furniture when painting a room, then removed covering at the end of the day so the room could be used again. They moved quickly from room to room, and completed the major rooms in as fast a manner as possible. It took longer than expected to complete the rail, as it had to be sanded by hand, primer/dry a couple of coats, then finished the color. But it looks great. I'd recommend them for any job.

I called this company at their office and had to leave a message. I did not hear back, although I called mid-day. I also sent a message later that evening, through Angie's List, and did not hear anything back by the next day. To be fair, the next day WAS a weekend, so I am not sure if they have Angie's List hours on the weekend or not. However, I feel a message left for an office employee mid-day on a weekday should have been returned, even just to see why I was calling (I pushed the button for the estimate department). This company has terrific reviews and I would have loved to get an estimate from them.

It went very well. I give them all "A". I would use them in the future. They are very professional. The estimator was very punctual, very detail oriented and knew what he was talking about and painter himself that came out and went through the work with him prior to him starting he was very knowledgeable and very experienced. They did a pretty good job.

Absolutely great. They did all prep, moved all optical so in their way such as furniture or wall hangings. They covered up everything with drop cloths and they put everything back in place and cleaned up very well.

It took a bit of time to schedule, due to weather--they had to make sure to come after the last frost. Understandable, and professional in their expertise. The service directs you to select a stain from the online color wheel easily found on their site. Picking a color online is a little dubious, you're never sure exactly what you'll get when the stain is applied to your wood but there are some pictures in the gallery that help you make the decision. Day of service was easy. We have a large vegetable garden up against one side of the fence and many small plants along the rest. There was zero damage to our vegetation during and after the service. A few minor repairs (re-securing fence boards) were included in the service. Payment via phone was easy and handled efficiently. We are happy with the service and will use them again for the same service next time the fence needs attention.

This was a great experience - high quality work, pleasant hardworking staff, reasonable price, good communication, prompt! And they managed to complete our work before the holidays, which we greatly appreciated.

Overall, Kennedy Painting did an outstanding job. We had just bought a new house and hired Kennedy before we moved in. We had a coffered ceiling with multiple colors in our master bedroom, and it turned out great. The crew and foreman were very professional, careful in their work, and really cared about doing a quality job. When there was a mixup with one of the colors in the bathroom, they re-painted with the correct color without any issues. I highly recommend Kennedy Painting. From the price, to the professionalism and quality of the work, I could not have been happier.

We budgeted up to $1,600 to hire painters for family room, kitchen, master bedroom that has one beam, and laundry room that's basically a walk-thru to the garage with a closet. Unfortunately we could not hire Kennedy painting due to their cost of $3,375 to paint these rooms. Also, were going to use them to paint kitchen cabinets but have decided to look into refacing them. 9-30-14 UPDATE: Quote from Home Depot to reface 31 linear feet was $14,900 using a door made of Poplar wood. I will go with Kennedy to paint the kithchen since this is clearly the best bang for your decorating dollar. 11-28-14 UPDATE- kitchen cabinets painted for $2,400 and painted 6 chairs for $500. pictures attached.

Nate came out and gave us an estimate on the work to be done and the approximate date for the work. We had time to get the house ready. When the job started the painters where here every morning promptly at 7:30 AM. They were very organized in what they were painting and worked with very few breaks or down time. Each of the men was courteous, friendly and helpful. We were able to change the work as needed without any difficulty. Sean the owner and Nate the estimator both stopped in to check on the progress of the work. The job got done in a very professional manner. It is refreshing to work with a company that has a very customer oriented attitude. Sean treats his employees with respect and it shows in the type of employee he hires and the work that they produce. We would not hesitate to use this company again and recommend them to anyone. Job well done!

Came out to give estimate VIA Angieslist Snapfix. Needed door painted and at minimum two rooms. NEVER BOTHERED TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. Obviously they do not need my business now or in the future. Very poor customer service and a real lack of professionalism. ++++++++++++++++++ UPDATE +++++++++++++++++++++++ Wow this company sure can not recall things correctly! First, I gave the estimator two(2) different email accounts which HE wrote down. STRIKE ONE. As a retired software engineer, I know HOW to process email and nothing was in junk or spam on EITHER account . STRIKE TWO. It is not MY responsibility to keep checking with a company on whether they have competent estimators that at the minimum, followed up. Estimator did not bother to call me until after he read the review. And then it was for me to call them. Estimator never indicated he had office hours and indicated it would take a day or two. This entire thing could have been avoided IF Kennedy painting had been professional and sent the proposals as promised and FOLLOWED up or simply declined the work. And for a general FYI. EMAILS that are not delivered ALWAYS get bounced back. Check YOUR SPAM folder. STRIKE THREE for lying.

The provider was prompt and courteous. He worked hard all day and did a good job. It is very hard to see if any spots are missed when you are painting a ceiling black. He assured me they would come back to touch up any missed spots. They did and also some spots that I had bumped and scraped myself. Thanks.

Excellent! My century old house looks bright and beautiful! Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was outstanding. I had received a bid three times higher and was afraid I would not get the quality I expected based upon the bid Kennedy provided. Based upon the original high bid I had received was the reason I joined Angie's List. I chose Kennedy and two other highly rated Angie list providers to gather three additional bids. Two of the three were exactly the same, and one was just a few hundred more. I realized that I wasn't compromising for quality--the original bid I had received from a painter recommended by two of my friends was the problem. Kennedy Painting is a company that exemplifies superior customer service at every point of contact--from the bid contact to the office personnel to the crew leader to the crew painters--all met and exceeded my expectations! I will be using Kennedy for all my painting needs from this point forward and have already referred them to several of my friends. You will not be disappointed!

They came over and were very professional. They responded to our initial request for a quote quickly (within a week) and came to our house also within a week of their response. They took alot of time to describe their process and to answer our questions. We interviewed several other painting contractors and the folks at Kennedy came across as by far the best. We are looking forward to them coming in and completing the work.

They did a great job. The price was okay. It was right within the range that most people would charge.

Excellent company and excellent work performed. Amy is great to work with on paint selections as she knows the trends. Eric ran the crew and kept us informed on the process. We even had some issues with some of the paint peeling in the bathroom and Eric came back out and corrected the issue at no charge. They stand behind their work!

The process with Kennedy was wondeful, very professional. I recieved a call back very quickly, an estimator was on the job within 3 days and the service was contracted. The price was good and the actual painting looks great. We've painted all other rooms in the house and Kennedy matched our work and clean up was impeccable Would highly recommend as a provider

Excellent work. Crew was very professional and paid attention to detail. Repaired drywall surfaces look great and the overall paint job was outstanding. While the price was not the lowest quote we received, we feel it was well worth it. We would use them again.
