Kennedy Painting

The painter, Jeremy, arrived on time as scheduled, and did most of the preparation work including fixing the cracks in the ceiling on the first day. The second day, another painter accompanied him, and between them, they got most of the painting done, as well as working on the dry wall repairs that were needed in the skylight area. They came back for another half-day to complete the work. All areas that needed protecting were put under plastic, so there was no damage to any of my furnishings or rugs. They cleaned up every day, and when they had completed the work, all the clean-up was taken care of before they left. I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work, especially on the skylight, because I had been trying to get that work done for YEARS, and nobody else had come up with a proper repair plan before Sean looked at it on the original bid. When Jeremy was leaving, he mentioned that they did power-washing (I guess he could tell that my garage needed it after 20 years!) I requested a bid for doing that, as well as sanding and repainting the wooden framework around the garage door. Sean called me right away with a bid, and I was able to get that work done in just a few days later, as well as a request to repaint my front door while Jeremy was working on the garage framework. It all makes my house look great!

Overall, it went great! They were very easy to talk to and explained what he was going to do very clearly.

We had ordered a new bed for our son but did not want to have it delivered until the bedroom was painted. Sean Kennedy was incredibly accommodating in trying to fit us into their already backlogged schedule. Because he knew of our time crunch he offered to have his painter start on a Saturday! It's not like I was a long time customer for whom he felt an obligation to help out. I was a brand new customer and he bent over backward to make me happy. The project took two days and the room looks terrific. His painter also primed and painted a downspout we'd recently replaced. This company is #1 as far as I'm concerned.

Kennedy earns high marks: Not 24 hours after leaving a message via their website, Sean Kennedy called and let me know that they did not service my area, but he did provide a recommendation for a contractor he respected who might. Additionally, he offered to answer any technical questions I might have down the line if we went the DIY route, or any questions about contractors we did use. Now that is going above and beyond.

Very happy. It's amazing how rare it is to find a contractor who will respond promptly, do when he says and deliver on time. Sean Kennedy is such a person, and he is an excellent communicator.... this makes any job much easier, but they also do very high quality work. There were surprises, which they handled well (for example, a prior owner had used interior joint compound on the exterior door surround.... quite a mess which they dealt with effectively). Eric, who did most of the work, is a very hard worker and focused on customer satisfaction. We had two small boys and an infant in the house so there was a concern about fumes; he got special paint and bent over backwards to minimize the impact. He voluntarily came on a Saturday which meant we got the kitchen back two days sooner. He went to special lengths to try to contain the dust.

Excellent work! I've used Kennedy Painting before and called them for additional work. Sean Kennedy was prompt in getting me an estimate, and also in scheduling the work sooner than he originally expected. Everything went as expected and the finished job was superior quality. The cleanup was thorough and furnishings replaced without any damage or problems.

Kennedy painters were professional, energetic and polite. They arrived on the dot and stayed until quitting time. Prep work was amazing--particularly repairing old plaster cracks. A plaster ceiling, which I thought was beyond repair now looks perfect. Contract was submitted efficiently with specific detail on the work bid on and brochures on all paints and plaster repair materials used. References were included.

The company is very professional and did a great job. We would and probably will call them again in the future for painting or plaster repair work. Mr. Kennedy is professional, on time, and explains everything well. The bid proposal is detailed and professional (as opposed to certain contractors who will simply write an estimate without explaining how they came to it). The work took about 3-4 days. There were no problems. The workers were respectful and did not leave a mess. They did a great job on the plaster and painting and our rooms look great. The final cost was as set forth in the bid. We have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend them.

I sent an e-mail to Kennedy Painting's website and got a return call the same day. Sean, the owner, was very polite and professional. We arranged the time to meet and he arrived at my home at the exact time he said he'd be there. He said I would have the estimate in the mail within 3 days, and I did. When the work started, his crew was also very polite, professional, and punctual. They made an extra effort at keeping the house clean by covering up walkways and carpets with drop cloths. Their work is excellent and it was completed within the time frame I was given. I would definitely use Kennedy Painting again.

One man took down all hardware including blinds, taped, and put on 2 coats of paint and cleaned up in about 8.5 hours. This job comes with a 2 year warranty. I have been very pleased so far.

Sean Kennedy and Lead Painter Ric Reed did a fabulous job. Always on time, considerate, and met all estimated timeframes for completion. Sean was patient with color consideration and informative as to what might work well, taking care to help maintain the original character of our older home. Sean always followed up to make sure we were satisfied and I found his bid to be competitive with other highly rated painters on Angie's List. I would definitely call Kennedy Painting for future work.

Sean and his team did an excellent job. They returned even after the work was finished as a courtesy to find out if anything had been missed (after the paint had dried). I wish there was more to report.. but the recommendations in paint type and color and the work itself is just top notch.

I haven't done the work yet myself but am confident it will go well based on his advice.

BEYOND MY WILDEST EXPECTATIONS! What a wonderful experience to work with people who are friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, concerned, punctual, trustworthy. I can't say enough about these folks. From the minute Sean Kennedy walked into our house to put an estimate together to the end of the job we were kept up to date on the progress of the job and it was completed on time and looks absolutely fabulous. I will definitely be calling Sean for my next project.

Sean Kennedy was polite and professional throughout the process, from the original estimate to the follow up after the job to ensure we were happy. He returned calls promptly, let us know in advance when the work would be done and were on time. They brought over the samples, offered to paint some of our colors on a wall to see what it looked like, and obtained the paint for us. The crew was polite and professional, covering all furniture and cleaning up completely after the job. We were completely happy with the product they used, the quality of the painting, and the communication throughout the process. We will be calling them again when another room needs painting.

Sean was always very easy to work with and extremely polite, personable, and professional. The house was in terrible shape after years of neglect - stained, cracked, sand finished plaster. The crew was really great - they arrived on time every day - and never seemed to take a break - other than a quick lunch. They were productive from 8-4:30. They were always concerned with the quality of the work and asked to return after the kitchen remodeling is complete to make sure the other contractors touch up work was done properly. The job was originally quoted for 2 coats of paint - but because the prep/prime work was done so well - it only required one finish coat and the bill was adjusted accordingly. I would HIGHLY recommend Kennedy and will use their services again.

Sean came out promptly to look at the work that need to be done and discuss color selection. A few days later, I received a detailed estimate in the mail. The painters arrived early on the scheduled days, were pleasant, professional, and always left the work space clean at the end of the day. They taped areas off with plastic when sanding and used drop cloths throughout the house. I had planned to have the kitchen cabinets painted, and Sean suggested that we have that done first before selecting a color for the kitchen. This turned out to be excellent advice even though job completion was delayed as a result. I appreciated Sean's willingness to work with my schedule since we had a couple of projects going at once. Sean came out the last day to help the guys finish and to do a minor touch-up. Their work was first-rate.

They did the whole job in about 9 days. They very reliable, professional, and courteous to us. They were quick in answering all of our questions. They also made sure to point out to us where certain cedar trim pieces were in bad need of replacing, so that there wouldn't be any unexpected surprises after the quote. They cleaned everything up very nicely.

Sean promptly returned my phone call and came to my home to give me an estimate. Jeremy arrived early/on time and finished the work in one day. He covered all surfaces with plastic and drop cloths and cleaned up afterwards. Now one can't even tell that there were ever large holes there!

Three guys finished a monumental project almost to completion in one day. They prepped everything well. They were professional. The job was well done. I am very picky about painting. They did a fantastic job.

Sean was on time when he came to estimate the work. He listened carefully to my description of the project and responded quickly with a proposal. He worked with me to schedule the work around some electrical work we were having done in our kitchen. When his team arrived they were professional and kept us informed of the status of the work. The team was so quiet in our home that I was able to continue working in my home office. After the project was completed, Sean inspected the work and made some minor touch-ups to make sure we were completely satisfied. Sean's bid came in considerable under a competing bid from It's All Covered. He finished the work in less time for less money, with no changes to the proposed price. I'm satisfied with quality of the work.

They really stand out and they do great work. I would recommend them to anyone.

We have used them before and came back because they are very reliable and responsive. We had a problem with one particular spot that was damaged from leaking, and the repairs repeatedly bubbled which required them to return approximately 5 times. But they kept coming back and Sean Kennedy assured us they would get it right eventually, and they did.

Sean and his crew did a wonderful job. Sean's workman was going to patch the hole and he noticed that there was another leak, so we had to call back the plumber before proceeding. Sean and his crew are extremely professional. I have had him do other painting projects for us and I have always been 100% satisfied with the work. They always show up on time and clean up afterwards. Sean always goes the extra mile to make sure you are completely satisfied with the job.

We'd just purchased our 120 yr. old home & needed some updates prior to moving in. I called several contractors. While others would not commit to completion dates, Sean proposed a package that would permit most of the work to be done prior to our move in, while the rest could be completed afterward & at our own pace. He was very knowledgeable about the unique character of historic homes & offered sound advice at all times during the updating process. Our front door has been designed as a one of a kind, & although we thought painting it was the only necessity, it soon became obvious that the molding was decayed & needed repairs. Sean & his crew quickly acted to reconstruct all the molding, keeping in mind the original design of the historic door. His crew was professional, courteous, & cleaned up at the end of every day. I felt comfortable leaving them on the job while I went to work. Sean was in constant contact with me on the phone each day.
