Kennedy Painting

We used Kennedy Painting two years ago to paint ceilings and the living and dining rooms, the exterior framework of the garage, and to powerwash just the front of the house. We were so pleased that we didn't even call anyone else for a bid for this new job. As we had experienced two years ago, the work was done on time and within budget.

The owner, Sean Kennedy, came out and gave us a free estimate. They scheduled the day of job around my work schedule, which I appreciated. Jeremy Adams (foreman) and his assistant showed up at the scheduled time and completed the job. The ladder repairs look great and they did a very thorough job of sanding down the playset, so that my daughter would not get any splinters. Sean checked back in with me a couple days later to make sure we were satisfied. My only qualm was that they did not fill the larger cracks in the wood before staining. Sean responded that they did not normally do that as the caulk would probably fall out, leaving the wood unprotected. This seemed reasonable to me, so I left it at that. Overall, they did a good job and I would use them again.

We had some difficulty finding an exterior paint color to match what was in our 'mind's eye'. Frankly it took 3 tries - color swatches, even those we painted in 3 X 3 foot swatches, can look very different at different times of day when it is spread over a large surface. Understanding it was no fault of Kennedy's, we agreed to pay them additional labor costs for a do-over, but we felt the price quoted was fair. The 3rd time was a charm and we're very pleased with the results. In fact people stop while walking their dogs and tell us how beautiful our home looks. The work was slow to get started as we signed our agreement in the fall of 2009, however had to start inquiring about when they'd be able to come in May when we hadn't heard from them yet. Once communication began we found Scott and team to be responsive, articulate, and followed through as promised. We will use Kennedy again and recommend them to others.

Kennedy Painting called my in less than 24 hours upon my contact through the website. He was very courteous and professional while he let me know that he would not be able to complete the work I had requested in the 8 weeks time frame I had given. Even though it didn't work out this time, I will definitely consider this company for future painting projects.

I was very impressed with the quality of work, the price and the professionalism. They were very tidy, never left a mess behind and left my house in the condition that they found it. I would use them again and I will recommend them to friends.

Sean was great, easy to deal with, cheerful, informative and honest. My house was damaged by a fire and a complete repainting of the inside and outside of my house was required. After all the work was done I noticed the paint on both the inside and outside of the house had begun peeling. Sean came out and confirmed my fears that the surfaces were not properly prepared to recieve paint and the painting itself was done very poorly. He said he could do the work now but the fumes from the chemicals to strip the interior paint would require that nobody live in the house for what could be a few weeks. He thought that it would be better to wait a few seasons and take a look then. He explained that the peeling will be further along and stripping the paint would be a lot easier, lowering the cost of the work. I will be calling him to do the work next year.

The preliminary meetings with Sean and his staff were incredibly professional, thorough and reassuring. We were out of town during the entire length of the project, so I had some concerns about all of the work happening in our absence. Sean sent numerous updates along the way and everything was done on time and beautifully executed! I cannot stress how great the whole process was, start to finish!

After looking on Angie's list for someone to paint the exterior of our home, we contacted Kennedy Painting. Sean came out to inspect our home to provide an estimate. The estimate was provided and accepted via email. Due to the time of year we agreed the work would be done in the spring. Sean kept us informed as to the potential schedule. A team showed up and completed the job in one day. We were happy with the service and the result. I will be using them in the near future for some interior painting.

Sean came promptly when called to make an estimate. The estimate was completed promptly and submitted to me via email. Based on feedback from Angie's List and the quote, the bid was accepted. Jeremy was the team leader assigned to lead the job. He was very easy to work with and helped us make the final color selections. Unfortunately he could not continue on the job as he had an injury on another job but Eric stepped in and no time was lost. Eric and Jeremy were patient in getting various color samples so we could decide on the colors. All of the work was done professionally, on time, with no issues. The final cost was what was agreed to (including change orders which I approved). They cleaned up completely each day. The house really looks great. I would use Kennedy again - they offered competitive prices, did very high quality work, and were extremely accommodating and helpful. An excellent job in all regards.

I was getting a bit concerned about when the work was going to be done...the weather and other factors interfered. However, once the work started it progressed quickly and in less than a week everything was finished. The crew showed up on time and despite the 95+ degree weather worked professionally. Even my neighbors remarked on their work ethic and the quality of their workmanship. I saw positive changes immediately. The experience was informative and as enjoyable as any renovation can be.

The way they did the work was very fair. When they had to match the paint with the paint store, since the paint in the can did not match what was on the wall, the painter matched it himself.

Beginning to end, the service and work was as expected - excellent. I echo the other reviews. Sean was prompt, quick with the estimate and follow through. Jeremy and Louie did an outstanding job in painting. Also prompt and detailed in their work. Well done.

They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. They were on time. We had an issue where they broke a bookshelf in the course of painting and they came and repaired it promptly. They also patched up some cracks.

The project went smoothly--the crew showed up on time each scheduled day and was finished by our anticipated completion date.

Sean was very professional from the initial conversation to the final follow-up after the job was complete. The crew who performed the work were also extremely professional, but exceeded our expectations. The walls look brand new ! Owner Sean Kennedy--thoroughly knowledgeable, professional, and congenial--assured me his crew could complete all repairs and then paint six areas within five working days--in time for a planned birthday celebration. He explained the various kinds of repairs needed to effect lasting fixes, and he clearly outlined how the entire process would unfold. He also explained the guarantee on materials and workmanship. The workers were very punctual, skilled, considerate, industrious, courteous, and well-led by their crew leader, who updated me daily on progress. Sean was flexible in creating a payment plan, and everything happened as promised. The results were flawless and stunningly beautiful.

I cannot imagine a better experience. Sean's bid was spot on and his employees are top notch. They guys are friendly, helpful, understanding of weird scheduling and careful. Everything was vacuumed each night and equipment was stowed in a contained area or taken out. I will continue to use the services of this company in the future.

We are very happy with the results. They were very professional to work with, did excellent work, and followed up to be sure we were happy. The house looks great. It's one of the best service experiences we've had for this type of work.

Sean Kennedy came out to my house and gave me a bid. He was very professional and friendly. One person did the job, and he showed up on the day/time that was scheduled. He worked all day and did a great job. He thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.

The experience was great. Two team members: Eric and Eduardo, arrived on time, worked all day except for a 30 minute lunch break (they went out), moved furniture where needed and draped everything to prevent drips. They were very nice and careful. We found one spot that needed a little touch up and they took care of that the next day. They finished the whole house in just a day and a half.

It went very well. The owner was always right on time for appointments, was accommodating with late changes, was responsive on e-mail as well as phone, and adjusted their scheduling to get the project done before Thanksgiving's guests arrived. There were a couple spots we found later that probably could have been patched slightly better but it was really bad to begin with and they are not real noticable. I'm sure they would be happy to come back and redo if it was a big enough deal to warrant that. Good, trustworthy, hard working, accommodating....

excellent - very professional from start to finish

We contracted with Kennedy Painting to paint an interior den and bathroom and the two story entry foyer of our home. They paid such attention to detail, that we began talking with them about providing an estimate for the exterior painting of the house. We accepted their written proposal for the exterior project, and do not regret doing so! We were very satisfied with the results. They began the exterior project by power washing the entire house. They then fixed and/or replaced exterior trim pieces that were in need of repair (ie: broken window drip edge pieces; broken exterior garage roof line trim pieces). This was followed by caulking all needed areas, and then 'priming' and 'painting' all exterior surfaces. They even went out of their way to physical rebuild and paint our customer wooden mailbox that had deteriorated. We were very satisfied with all aspects of their work, and would highly recommend Kennedy Painting to family & friends in need of their service!

This company did an excellent job and was very professional. We will use them again for future projects.
