My faucet was leaking and I phoned and got an appointment quickly. Eric diagnosed the problem and I had the option to try to repair it or replace it. Eric explained both options clearly and I chose a new fixture, which he then installed. Super good job all the way around, and Eric was so nice and so professional. I absolutely would use this company again and would hope I could request Eric again. Thanks to him, a disaster turned into a pleasant experience and a new fixture that I really like.

I called and they were out the same day to rotor out my sewer lines. The were unable to advance the camera and realized that my lines had collapsed. Another employee had come out to assist with the job and to give me an estimate. They had the city mark my yard that day and was out the next day to start work on replacing my sewer lines. The ground was very bumpy and muddily since it had rained the day after the job was done. It took a while for the yard to look better. I had even asked if they would fill in the holes better and they did. After the ground settled, it looked better. I have used them in the past and have always been prompt and will work with me.

I'm going to make this review as detailed as possible, so if you don't want to read the entire thing, please at least read the summary at the end, and protect yourself and anyone you know from shady business practices. I purchased my first home, a small 1951 bungalow, at the end of July 2013. I'm a 21 year old female, and pretty handy/knowledgeable when it comes to repairing and remodeling homes, with plumbing being the one exception. Since plumbing services and prices depend on so many variables, I've never known the average costs for services or been able to estimate it, especially on large jobs. Well apparently they picked up on this lack of knowledge very quickly, because they sent in their best "sales man" to convince me I needed all knew water supply pipes immediately, at about three to four times the average cost of other companies in the area. Before the pipe replacement, I had a technician over once to diagnose a problem with temperature balance in my shower valve. He quoted me about $500 just to supply and replace a part within the valve. Since that seemed very high to me, I purchased my own valve, tub faucet, and shower head and had one of their technicians install it. The cost to install was still a whopping $375, and the shower head leaks a lot every time the water is running from the tub faucet, with diverter still disengaged. Since I supplied the part, they couldn't guarantee it's quality. Even the technician felt bad giving me the invoice, and told me he was sorry because he didn't realize the cost was so high for the replacement. He also said he thought the diverter was just sticking because it was new, and that the shower head would probably stop leaking after a while. It's been about 4 months, still leaking. He also called me a few hours later to tell me he forgot to close up my crawl space entrance, which I did appreciate at the time, since he realized it after he went home for the day, and called me on his own time. About 2 weeks later, I noticed my sump pump still running after a few days without rain, and discovered a significant leak in my main water shutoff valve. My first thought was that the valve had been leaking since the last visit, and probably would have been discovered, had the technician done a quick final inspection, and closed everything up. I'll never know if that was true or not, because when I called to have them come out and look at the leak, a different technician told me the pipes were old and galvanized, and they could all spring leaks at any random moment, which he said was probably the case with this one. This could be true, since the pipes were original to the house, or he also could have been trying to avoid any legal trouble for the company, frankly, I'll never know. This new technician suggested we replace the valve and bit of piping around it, but wanted to call in his boss for a second opinion. So a few minutes later, Dave shows up, looks around the crawl space, and tells me all my old galvanized pipes needed to be replaced as soon as possible, because they could all spring leaks and/or burst at any moment. He said the technician was "afraid to tell me" this, which is why he was called in. Maybe this is true and the technician was new to these kinds of situations, or maybe they are taught to spot an opportunity to call in their best salesman. Dave seemed very nice and concerned about my home and well being at the time, and it wasn't until later that day I started to dissect the whole interaction and realized how much of the conversation was manipulation and scare tactics. I knew there were galvanized pipes when I purchased the house, but after the inspection, I was under the impression that they would need to be replaced eventually, the inspector didn't see an immediate problem. Because of this, I definitely should have been more suspicious when Dave kept insisting that it needed to be done as soon as possible to prevent a pipe bursting, which could flood my crawl space, and cause a series of events (I don't remember the specifics), basically ending with me not having heat or water for a week or longer, and an enormous cost to fix it. This is seriously what he said when I asked if it would be safe to wait a few days to get more opinions and estimates from a few other plumbers. He told me the cost was $3,125 to replace all the supply pipes with new PEX piping. This was for a one bathroom house, 950 square feet, with a total of two sinks, one toilet, one bathtub, and a washer hookup. When I asked questions like, "How much would it be for a house with two bathrooms?" and, "Is this the lowest price, since I only have a couple fixtures?" he would have vague answers, like that was just their standard price, saying that it doesn't really change. So whether I have a 950 square foot 2 bed, 1 bath house, or a 1600 square foot 4 bedroom 3 bath house, the price is still $3,125 either way? Every time I mentioned how I couldn't afford to spend that much money, and I wanted to wait a couple days to consider my options, he was very persistent at using the scare tactics to convince me it was unsafe to wait another day, and kept telling me he could get credit for me through Wells Fargo quickly, and could have his guys out later that day to start the job. The way Dave does business is very shady, and I don't appreciate any company that will use these methods to manipulate and pressure their customers into making a huge and expensive decision on the spot. Despite wasting $150 on a "service plan", I have since used other, smaller, plumbing companies to perform a few other services for me, and have had much more pleasant experiences with them. I had another local plumber come out to snake my main drain line, and out of curiosity, I asked him how much he would charge to replace all my water supply lines. He said there were a few things that would effect the price, but he said it would be anywhere from $800-$1,000 for the same job that cost me 3-4 times as much with All Klear, which I came to discover the lower estimate is the standard price for many other companies. I told this plumber what I had paid, and the tactics used to get me to agree to this, and he immediately asked me, "Was it Dave, from All Klear Plumbing?". He said that for the price I was charged, his company would not only replace all the water supply pipes in the house, but also replace the main pipe from the city, and all sewage drains within the house, and the main sewage line leading to the city's line. Apparently many other people in Springfield and surrounding areas have had the same problem with Dave, and the company in general, convincing them they need to spend way too much money to fix a problem that isn't as urgent as they imply. They charge ridiculous prices, pressure their customers into making quick decisions before they have a chance to realize they're being ripped off, and prey on the elderly, young people with few plumbing experiences, and anyone lacking knowledge about plumbing and who is trusting enough to believe Dave is honest and trying to help them prevent a catastrophe. The younger technicians are very polite and quick to respond to house calls, which is about the only positive thing about All Klear plumbing. In addition to the fore-mentioned problems I had, many of my old galvanized pipes were left protruding from my walls next to the new pipes, and many of the new ones weren't secured very well, with few support straps, causing them to bow in many places, and my washer hookups hanging without any support behind the drywall. I am an intelligent person, and have always known to ask questions when in situations like this, as well as getting other opinions. However, this is the first time I have ever felt like I had been severely taken advantage of by a company, especially with such a large amount of money. They clearly care more about making as much money as possible, rather than providing honest and reliable service. Please find another company to use for your plumbing needs, and especially keep your children, grandparents, and/or elderly parents away. Any reputable company should encourage you to get a second opinion, while explaining their own price and process, not pressure you into making a rash decision you'll regret. If I had used another company, I would have had better work done at more than a third of the cost, and it would have been completely paid off by now. Instead, I'll be trying to figure out how to pay off the remaining $2,250 for the next 8 months to avoid astronomical interest charges, while fuming over the thought of all the repairs I could have done on my home, had this not happened. I definitely feel like I've been conned, and that's not the way any business should make you feel.

At All Klear we strive for customer satisfaction and are sorry to hear that you thought our price was high. Upon review of your service order, we found that the initial diagnoses of your faucet needed to be replaced. However, our Sr. Technician looked it over and found that the faucet could be repaired which resulted in significant savings. Your total out of pocket cost was $68.00 for the diagnosis and $182.28 for the repair, making your total out of pocket expense $250.28. This was significantly lower than the previously anticipated diagnosis, considering replacement would have been much more. In order to make the necessary repairs the technician had to source the supplies from local supply houses in Springfield, MO. Again, we are sorry to hear you felt our price was high and hope you will still consider All Klear for your future plumbing needs.

My about 8 year old water softener was leaking from the bottom. I arranged to meet the service manager over my noon hour and he arrived promptly, confirmed the old softener was leaking from the bottom and not repairable, and had someone there that afternoon with a replacement installed. Did a neat, clean job and although a little pricey I do appreciate the promptness and professionalism.

I am so pleased with the water softener and the professionalism of Eric who installed it. I wish I had got this installed years ago. Sean and David have done heating and a/c checks and maintenance for me also and I was very pleased with them as well. I called them two years ago when my a/c unit went out, on the hottest day of summer, and they were at my home within 20 minutes. Being a preferred customer by having a yearly maintenance package to check my plumbing, heating, and a/c does pay off. I will continue to use them for my heating, a/c, and plumbing needs.

I used him even though they sent a mixed review on him. I guess at one point there was a complaint on him. Then that person came back and said they guaranteed that person that would never happen again and all this blah, blah, blah. And the gentleman that did this was either no longer with the company or had been chastised and he was told never to do that again. And I got news for you, I had apparently the same guy. He did the same run on me. I called my son over from work because I felt this guy was flim flamming me. The only reason I knew that was because I read the review and remember it so correctly and my son finally threw him out of her to a tune of $168, it turned out he really did nothing. When my son went down there, while he was still here, where he said he ran water was totally dry. For $168 he said he checked my air conditioner, he checked the filter, he ran water down this thing to check and see for leaks and he walked outside in my back yard and checked my air conditioner out there and said oh my gosh I need Freon and all this other stuff. And he wanted to replace my air conditioner. My air conditioner knock on wood has been running all summer long. And my son keeps my air conditioner here about 67 degrees, so apparently those weren't the facts. They were a flim flam company. They were punctual, boy were they right on time. I would warn people off from them.

(removed member name), I’m sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction regarding service performed on April 9th. We looked further into this matter and found that we had only visited your property one time and only A/C problems were reported during the service call. The technician that came to your property was new with our company and could not have been the same technician. He checked the coils and condenser for leaks, then checked the outside unit and found it to be very dirty. He also found that the dog was urinating on the outside unit and this type of urine eats up aluminum and copper. This had gone on for so long that the system Freon was contaminated. Again, we are very sorry there was a communication problem and would have preferred it if you would have contacted us directly and given us a chance to resolve this issue before posting this review. Customer satisfaction is always top priority at All Klear. If there is anything we can do to earn your trust back, please let us know.

6-7-13 UPDATE: (grades reflect update) The initial repair did not fix the water heater drip situation, so I called the company and spoke to Garen Gilmore who is one of the owners. Garen personally came out and inspected the situation and did everything in his power to make things right with us. We went online to verify that the recommendations he gave us were appropriate, and he was spot-on with his suggestions. Because of his professionalism and willingness to remedy the previous experience, we contracted with him to do the necessary repairs and additions. Charles Hambey was sent to do the needed work, and he was professional and polite. He fixed a couple of other things that weren't his responsibility to fix, and we were very impressed with his work ethic and professionalism, as well. We appreciate Garen Gilmore and his company for standing behind their service and product. 6-3-13: The repair work seems to have been done correctly. However, from the moment the furnace room door was opened (where the water heater is located), a large part of the service call was spent trying to sell us a water softener system including showing us phone photos of other clients' issues and telling us what other clients experienced by not having a system. The other worker mentioned more than once that our brand of water heater gives problems and an unasked-for price quote was given for a new water heater in addition to an unasked-for price quote for a water softener system. Even if we DID need a water softener system or water heater, mentioning it once to see if we were interested would have been sufficient and professional. They did honor my Angie's List coupon, but I waited until we were presented with the final bill before giving it to them. Before this initial experience, because of other Angie's List reviews of All Klear, we were considering contracting with this company for a maintenance plan. There is no way we would consider that now.
Description of Work: 1) 6-3-13: replaced pressure relief valve on water heater 2) 6-7-13: Put a PRV valve on and added an expansion tank, added support strap to copper line, tightened a frost free faucet that had been leaking, and repaired a loose board on the crawl space access :)

Opened the door to the utility room early on a Saturday morning, intending to do some laundry, when I stepped into a quarter inch of water on the floor. I could tell it was coming from the water heater. Looking closer, I saw small, slow drips from two different places on the bottom of the 23-year-old heater. I turned the water off, called the plumber I usually use and left a message. Almost two hours later he returns my call, very apologetic, saying he was with his wife in the hospital and wouldn't be able to come out until Monday at the earliest. He suggested I try to find another plumber since he didn't want us to be without hot water for that long. Time to fire up the 'puter and search Angie's List. All Klear Plumbing was one of two companies that came up on the list with Angie's Super Service seal. And they were local. I called them, and Charles was at the door little more than an hour later (having come from another job). He was friendly, polite, and very professional. He confirmed what I already knew; a new water heater was in my future. We talked about different options, and he was very straight-forward about the pros and cons of each. I made my choice, and Charles called back to office to have the new water heater brought out. It arrived about a 40 minutes later. In the meantime, Charles got busy draining the old unit and disconnecting the water lines, gas line and vent from the old tank. The new unit was brought in (by one of All Klear's co-owners, no less!) and hooked up in about 30 minutes. While Charles worked on the install, the co-owner, Gavan, talked with me about the services All Klear provides. It was a low-key conversation; no sales pressure. He was just letting me know everything his company does. He left me his card and a brochure, said good-bye to Charles, and went on to another job. After all the lines were reconnected, Charles went to each faucet making sure water flowed from both hot and cold outlets. Then he showed me what to do if the pilot light ever went out (which shouldn't happen with this unit). The last thing he did before leaving was check for gas leaks not only at the connections he but also everywhere he could reach around the furnace. All-in-all, I have a very good impression of All Klear Plumbing.

Used them for a Hvac and plumbing inspection for a house I was purchasing. They were very detail oriented and professional, and did everything that was required of them in a timely manner. I will be using them in the future for any HVAC and Plumbing problems that might come up.

I think I explained that the paragraph above.
Description of Work: My gas fireplace would not start and I was concerned there could be a leak. They replaced the ignitore (had the part on the truck) and explained how I can do some simple things myself to avoid a service call with the fireplace. I was able to schedule a time that fit my schedule. The also honored the coupon I printed from Angies List. I signed up for their biannual checkups - will send in another review after they do one. I was pleased with their service.
