Mid-America Appliance Service

He arrived on time for the appointment. He came out and pronounced that my refrigerator would be more expensive to repair than to buy a new one. He gave me a quote for the repair but was uncertain that it would repair all of the problems, I appreciated his honesty.

Ultimately, we bought a new dishwasher and had a plumber install it. While I was disappointed by the inability to fix the old one, I believe that the Mid America service tech did his job properly.

Oven would not light. I knew it was either the Spark Module or the Spark Igniter because the broiler worked. He told me that it was both which I knew was crap. He then told me to fix it would cost $448. I bought the module on sears.com for $148 and fixed it myself. I wasted $49 because I wanted him to confirm my diagnosis but i should not have bothered having him diagnose anything.

Service person was friendly, on time and informative.

They were fantastic! There was a secondary failure (some of the electronics broke) and they came back out and didn’t charge me for that labor.

Everything went well. The technician was professional and knowledgeable.

The technician came in and communicated that he new exactly what the issue was and made a repair (I think he replaced motor and over $250 in total cost) but the ice box was still not working. He then suggested an even more expensive alternative repair, but at that time my level of confidence in this expertise had declined and I decided to get a second opinion. Pleasant and polite throughout entire visit.

Thought this would be the only fee, but they charged labor as well. However, The price was still quite reasonable and the work was done very fast and completely. I thought this was a good experience.

$1100 bid to repair, opted to get a new fridge

The repairman was very nice. He checked out the stove thoroughly. I asked if the range was safe to use and he said yes. He told me the two parts he could fine would cost approximately $200. Due to the age of the stove, I have decided to replace it even if the other part can be found. I will wait until I hear back, however.

It was an old unit that had been replaced by GE and there was a new model to take its place. They ordered one and brought it out and installed it quickly with little fuss and no muss. The new unit did not want to fit quite as well as the old, but our repairman managed to get it into the freezer and working in no time. He was prompt, polite and did the job we needed him to do. I recommend using this company and I will be calling them again the next time I need an appliance fixed.

All went well except the appointment time to install replacement parts ran long. Was to have performed the repairs between 10 and 2 PM, but didn't arrive until about 3 PM. Not a big deal, but it was a Saturday. The serviceman did keep me informed that he was running late. Didn't change anything, but at least I knew.

I received excellent service from Roger the Service Technician. He wrote up the estimate and also provided me information to make a decision about whether to repair my dryer, which is 10 years old or to purchase a new one. He was very professional, helpful and friendly. If I decide to have the repair work done I will contact Mid America Electronics to complete it. If I decide to buy a new dryer I will keep this Providers information handy for any of my future electronic or appliance repair needs.

Tech called and said that he would be here in x minutes and he was. He assessed the problem and took care of it in a satisfactory manner. My only dislike was a service/labor charge that was 10 times the cost of the part.

they took down my phone number wrong. so a 3 day repair took 2 weeks. not happy when I contacted them after a week. Then another week to get scheduled service.

I called our appliance store on a Thursday about our new range hood because the range hood lights flickered when I turned the stove on. The appliance store had Mid-America Services call me to set up repair appt. Mid-America called same day and set up appt for the following Thursday between noon and 5. They also called Wednesday to confirm appt. and said repairman would call before coming. On Thursday, repairman called at 12:45 and said he'd be here in 20 minutes. He arrived with another repairman. They spent quite a bit of time looking at and testing the range hood. They came to the conclusion that the range hood needed a dedicated circuit because of the power drawn with the electronic ignition on the gas range and the better range hood. Luckily, the new range hood and range were part of a kitchen remodel and the contractor will have his electrician make the change as part of the contract.

We ended up not going with them because it was a little expensive, and we were able to get the parts ourselves online. They were going to come back and put the parts for us. We have stackable washers, and the service man said that we had to unstack them and then stack them again. We weren't able to do that because my husband has a disability, and so we got someone else to do it. They came out quickly, they were very accommodating about it. It bothered me that they couldn't unstack it.

Service was provided the day after looking on Angie's List; on schedule and on time. Mike advised us that the repair costs would be substantial and that for a few dollars more we could by a new machine. He also advised us where there were sales and which washer would be a best buy. We opted to buy a new washer. Now we ask, "Where could you get better service than this?" Thanks Mike and Mid-America Appliance Service.

I was desperate for a service call 6 days before Thanksgiving. They had a service truck out 30 minutes after a called with 2 techs. They fixed the problem by just resetting a breaker. They gave me an estimate on the parts and labor if it happens again, but since the unit was working, just the display board was out they advised that I should hold off on the pricey repair. They were friendly, honest, and I will certainly call them again!!!

The initial call found that the compressor was going out. Adam, i believe, needed to contact his boss to see what choices I had and if they could find the right compressor for the fridge. I received a call from Cory and he gave me my options. About a week and a half later Rick came and installed the new compressor and voila, my machine is like new again. I am so pleased with the way everything was handled and the quality of work was performed that I can't recommend them enough. What outstanding,professional service in a day where it's getting almost impossible to find such - thanks so much.

Excellent. Called in the morning to schedule repair. They had a cancellation and were able to come out the same day. Rick was very professional and fix our issues quickly and explained how what he did. No more water all over our floor and a freezer door which would not seal properly is not fixed. Great Job.
