Description of Work: I recently had all of my windows replaced and in the process I had some shades (10) that were in need of repair and cleaning. Two of the shades were at least 15 years old while the other eight were approximately 7 years old. The newer shades had to have the motors inside replaced. I brought the shades to Victor Shades after reviewing them here on curtious List. The gentleman in the service department was knowledgeable and courteous. He explained to me how the shades would have to be cleaned because of the type of material they were made of (Honeycomb type shades) and what would need to be done to make them fully functional again. I was given an estimate for all the services required and approximately how long it would take for the work to be completed. There were issues that were found during the repair process and the repair technician called and explained what those issues were. He told me that there would be a little more time required to fix the shades but the price that I was quoted was still the price I would pay. It took approximately one week longer than the original time estimate. When I picked up the shades I was just amazed at how clean the shades were, especially the 15 year old ones. I hung the shades and was pleasantly surprised. All the shades looked and functioned even better than new. Thank you Victor Shade for the great customer service and professionalism. My shades look and operate better than new and I saved at least $2500.00 by cleaning and repairing my shades instead of buying new ones.

 + -1 moreThe people at Victor Shades are professional and courteous. They know their business very well. I have been there in the past and will continue to do business with them when necessary.
Description of Work: I took three mini blinds to Victor Shades to be cleaned and shortened. They were ready a couple of days later and I picked them up. I had to have someone take them down and rehang them so it wasn't until this was done that I found that they weren't the right length. That was my fault because I just told them to remove a few slats and should have had my person measure with a tape. Otherwise the blinds looked very nice. I called later to talk about the length and they said to just bring them in with the measurement from the top of the shade to the window sill. I had my person come here to take them down again and he returned to rehang them later. The man at Victor's was very courteous and adjusted the length while I waited.

 + -1 moreWe are very satisfied with the installation, which went very quickly and efficiently. I can also e-mail or talk to Scott by phone whenever I need to. Victor Shade is not the least expensive company, but I cannot imagine better service and responsiveness from any competitors that we sought estimates from.
Description of Work: We bought a house that had all vinge roller shades. After getting several estimates to get the whole house fitted w/Hunter-Doublas 2" blinds, we chose Victor Shade. Scott came over and spent an hour discussing the product and personally measuring every window! He created a spreadsheet so I could do a little at a time and call as we were ready to do more.

I referred them to a friend and she was so happy with what they had to offer, that she cancelled her previous appt. with another company and went with Victor Shade. Scott, the owner, who came with samples and pricing, and Jim the installer are accommodating. In an age when true excellent service is rare, Victor Shade really delivers
Description of Work: Scott came out with samples and pricing for a window treatment for one large window. He was very knowledgeable about the various products and didn't attempt to oversell. We ordered the window treatment and had it installed.

 + -1 moreWe went to the showroom where Scott explained all of the different options to us and got an idea what we liked. He came out to our house a few days later to bring color samples and do measurements. He was really great to work with and even had the manufacturer send samples of the colors of cellular shades we were interested in. We ended up not choosing this company though because the only brand of shades they carry is quite expensive. We ended up getting similar products made by a different manufacturer for a little more than half the price from a different local company.
Description of Work: Scott Segall gave us a bid on installing cellular shades on 14 windows in our home. ($7000)

I was told it may take up to 5 working days to be repaired because it was a busy time. They actually completed the repair ahead of time and called when it was finished.

Victor Shade treated my windows at my last house and now it's time to do the same in the new house. You could not deal with a more pleasant person. He always works with my schedule and one time agreed to a 7am Saturday appointment. I refer them frequently. They carry brand names and always stand behind their products and guarantees. What I also like is the fact he will voice an opinion if he thinks my selection may not work. He's always been right!
