It went great, plumber was knowledgeable and efficient and was in and out in just over an hour.

I had the leak and wanted a new plumber so i went to Angie's list. This company had an A rating and a current deal so I bought the deal and then called them. Because of the current, they were swamped with jobs, but they fit me in because I expressed my worries about the continuing flow of water. The man who came was prompt, friendly, hardworking and did an excellent job. He explained everything he did to me. I plan to use them again, deal or no deal, and would recommend them based on this experience.

This deal worked out very well. He was very prompt. And he solved my issue!

After installing the hot water heater, he was having a problem getting it started. He called someone who would come within the hour to get it started. It took about a half hour to get it started. He showed me how to set the temperature before he left. After getting it installed and started, I am very pleased with how well it is working.

LaMartina fit me in same day (end of day, so I didn't have to leave work early) and arrived promptly to assess the problem. The gentleman who came was friendly seemed very knowledgeable, quickly assessing the problem as a backed up pipe in my front yard. He snaked the drain (in the cold, pouring rain, no less) and the problem was fixed. He stayed to patiently answer several unrelated plumbing questions I had. Because of his willingness to do so and the information he gave me, I will likely get a bid on other plumbing work I need to eventually have done. I was very pleased with the overall experience.

The serviceman was both professional and competent, keeping me advised as the work progressed. It is nice to have a working sink again. He arrived on a timely basis and took care to clean up the work area. No complaints, and I would recommend this company to others.

I found him to be extremely responsive and calls regarding this service were promptly returned. The plumber arrived at the precise time promised and was very professional. I would recommend this company and would call them again in the future.

I called Tony LaMartina to get an estimate for replacing a kitchen sink. Tony returned my call promptly and gave me an estimate over the phone. It was easy to set up an appointment and the plumber arrived on time. He performed the work promptly and didn't waste time. He cleaned up after himself and made sure that the sink looked good before he left. He ran into a problem getting the sink to align with the countertop, but it was a defect with the sink - not the plumber's fault. He did the best he could with the situation and really tried hard. He was very professional and pleasant. I would definitely hire this company again in the future.

The gentleman came out on time. Assessed my stopped up drain and cleared it out in about 15 minutes. I'm glad they had the one hour labor big deal because it was more than enough time to complete the job. He advised us to periodically pour a bucket of water down the drain to prevent future issues.

I live in a very strict city so in one instance the code inspectors were going to have to tear out some drywall to inspect some plumbing but when they realized LaMartina had done the plumbing work they did not have to tear anything out. It is very comforting to have them as a plumber. Their prices may be a little higher but I would rather pay it because of their service and because they are a respectable company; it is worth it.

The worker was professional, He explained the process to me and then went about his work. He then went over the results orally. A written report was e-mailed to me withing a few days. It is hard to assess whether someone has identified all of the problems that have not yet become obvious. I was able to fix the identified problems myself, and only one unidentified minor plumbing issue surfaced over two years later. It gave me some peace of mind to have a professional assess the plumbing of my 25 year old house..It definitely was worth the price.

I purchased an angie's list deal from the website. This included the water heater and installation. The appointment was scheduled with the company over the phone and the serviceperson arrived at the appropriate time. The installation process was efficient and the serviceperson was polite and hardworking. Overall, this was a good experience. I am not sure about the "deal", as their installed price and product was very similar to price quote received from big box store.

This was my first Angie's List experience. I had spent 2 weeks trying to study water heaters and customer reviews on the Internet with little luck. Too many conflicting opinions and no clear idea of what unit to buy that would be reliable. Then there was the question of who to hire to install it locally. I was clueless. As a last resort, I was going to drive to a plumber mentioned in one of the Internet reviews to ask a bunch of questions to help me narrow down my choice, but when I called them for directions they said they were just a warehouse with no sales people. I had heard of Angie's List for years, but for some reason had it in my head that it was very expensive. When I saw it wasn't, I decided to give it a try. Right away, with a few clicks, I had both a recommendation for a top rated plumber to install the unit and he was also the salesman for brands that had been recommended. And he was running a special for $250 off the total price. I jumped in and within half an hour, I had purchased the deal and called Tony. He was very helpful in answering all my questions and then scheduling the installation on the spot. The man who installed it was totally professional--all the lines he installed (gas and water) look perfect and are much better than the crazed system of pipes the previous plumber had put in 19 years ago. The only thing I would suggest is that the installer have advice for the consumer about what to do to schedule the city inspection after the work is done. I asked and then called Tony again to see if they scheduled this or I should, but never received an answer. A suggestion to fix this minor flaw at the end of a totally positive experience otherwise: a simple card could be given to the homeowner upon completion saying "You now need to call your city for the re-inspection. Thanks for your order." All else was flawless, and I'm enjoying my hot water every day now! I will definitely use Tony LaMartina Plumbing again.

I subscribed to Angie's list because I was looking for someone to install a new water heater. I chose Tony LaMartina due to the great ratings. I called Tony and explained my situation to him...our water heater had started to leak from the drain valve, was 11 years old, and I was interested in replacing it before it stopped working. He explained what was included with the installation and spent plenty of time answering my questions. We set up an installation date and time. The installer showed up on time. I was not able to be home for the installation, but my wife said everything went great. After he completed the work he took time to explain what he did and the settings on the water heater. The area was as clean as it was before he did the work. Very impressive. I would use Tony LaMartina again, will definitely recommend the company to my friends and neighbors, and also use them again if I need any services they offer.

When seeking estimates recently from Angie's List plumbers for replacemnet of my waste stack, I called Tony LaMarina repeatedly over the course of two days, because I received very satisfactory service from them once before. However, every single time I called I got the following recorded message: "We're sorry, all circuits are now busy. Please try your call again later." I finally gave up trying to contact them and got estimates from other companies.

It went very well overall. The plumber showed up early, introduced himself, put down a cloth protective tarp on the stairs to basement, evaluated situation, and began the process of removing the old hot water heater and installing a new one. Additionally, I had a faulty water main valve that needed to be replaced. I asked if he could check with his company to see if he would be able to repair that during this same service call. He obtained permission to proceed and had the necessary parts already on the truck to do the job. He was successful in repairing the valve. He turned on the water main, flushed out the air in the water lines, wrote up a detailed description of services performed, and cleaned up the work areas. I felt that this job was performed competently, efficiently, and professionally. If the rest of the plumbers were similar to this one, I would definitely recommend this company to anyone else.

Everything went fine. The man doing the install did a quick, professional, no-hassle-for-me job.

Called for an estimate and got an excellent response and a fair price. They had the water heater in stock and could have it to my house within a couple of days. Scheduled the install and the plumber showed up on time. The work was finished within the expected time frame. The plumber went over the new heater with me before he left. Several hours later I went back to the basement and thought I smelled gas. Called the company and they said they would send the plumber back to look at it. I called around 3:15 and waited until 6:00 for the plumber to return. ( I was told the plumber had a job to finish and then would be coming. The job would take an hour to finish plus driving time. I expected him to arrive around 5 pm) I finally called Laclede Gas to come check it out. Laclede gas came and found a pipe had not been tightened enough and was leaking gas into the house. The plumber had not correctly checked for gas leaks after installing the water heater. The plumber finally did arrive around 6:30 pm. I did get a call from the company the next morning. They were very apologetic and did give me about a 10 percent discount. I appreciated the phone call but still can not discount the seriousness of the mistake. I know this company has many employees and can't be aware of each persons actions. However it was extremely disappointing a company with such an excellent reputation would be so sloppy with important safety issues. Because of the seriousness of the problem I could not rate their service well and will not use them again. Fortunately I had gone downstairs only a couple hours after the work had been finished and discovered the leak in a timely manner. It could have been a much more serious matter if the gas leak had been undiscovered for a longer period of time.
