Description of Work: I called for service with a couple of plumbing issues. This main problem was for a leaky shower faucet. Additionally, I asked for advice about dealing with a "frozen" fixture in a second bathroom. The serviceman was very professional and dealt with the first issue quickly. He also looked at the frozen fixture and advised me that the repair could be tricky. Since I told him I didn't use that bathroom frequently and planned to do a complete remodel early next year, he advised that I just wait and avoid the additional cost at this time. This was a very good experience and I would certainly use this company again. |

Description of Work: They were asked to remove an old sink, an Insta-hot water dispenser, water filter, and faucet and install a new sink, faucet and new RO water filter system. I also wanted them to fix leaks in an outside faucet and laundry sink. Jim Hawkinson arrived on time and as he has before did an excellent job. The problems started when the new sink did not exactly fit in the old hole and Jim had to use his plunge saw on one half of one side to accommodate the new sink. His saw burned up. I let him use mine and he finished the hole. When removing the garbage disposal a plastic fitting broke off so I went to HD to buy a new one. When adding a hole to the new sink for the filtered water dispenser Jim's hole saw burned up, so I supplied him with one of mine. That also burned up so I went to HD and bought two more. One of these also burned up so Jim decided to drill into the started hole with small drill bits to finish the job. When his burned up I supplied him with some of mine. He finished the hole, installed the RO system, new faucet, replaced the shut offs, reinstalled the old disposal and reworked the drain. At this time he was running late for another appointment, but he checked out the laundry room sink shut off which was not leaking, made suggestions on a way to drain the sink into the washer stand pipe and tightened the packing nut of the outside faucet shut-off. When I first got the bill, I was upset that the entire time was billed with no relief for the lack of a Greenlee hole punch, use of my tools, and the time I used to go to HD. I wrote a bad report of the experience that I thought was going to Tony La Martina Plumbing, so when I found out it was going to an outside reviewer, I copied it, sent it to T La M P, and did not send it to the reviewer. I received a response from Matt La Martina stating that the Greenlee hole punch was not a customary plumbing tool and that I had not stated I had bought a heavy duty stainless steel sink. I am no longer upset. I have the greatest respect for Jim Harkinson and because of him would use this company again. | |
