The Wright Door

I originally called thinking that my garage door opener was broken seeing that the garage door made a horrible noise and slammedto the ground when trying to close and would not re open. I talked with Dan over the phone and through trouble shooting he concluded that at least my spring was broken. Dan was able to come out the same day that we talked. He was very nice. He explained everything to me and showed me what needed to be repaired and told me the cost of the repairs. I agreed with everything that needed to be fixed and Dan got to work. He did a great job. I would definitely use Wright Door in the future. They were very responsive, courteous and punctual.

Every thing was done as agreed to, work competed quickly. I had Wright Door make repairs on a prior property in O'fallon MO, this is the second time I have used Wright Door.

Fine. Don't discount the nylon roller package. It is a HUGE difference maker.

Replaced the travel module for the garage door opener.

Their technician re-adjusted and tuned up everything, and repaired another problem with the door. He did a great job, and the upcharge for the extra work was for materials only. I was very happy with the service.

My 2-car garage door started to become difficult to close and I suspected my IR sensors were out of alignment and it was in need of a service. I called one garage door company for a special $39.95 service and they showed up late and basically sprayed WD-40 on the rollers and then told my wife our garage door was sagging and needed reinforcing struts (bars installed horizontally across the middle and top panels of our door) as well as new rollers to the tune of several hundred dollars. Wow?I didn?t see that coming. Ever since that ?service? our garage door began to ?bounce? every time we closed it and it seemed to be getting worse. We definitely wanted a second opinion and after our neighbors raved about how great Tom was from the Wright Door Company, we got his number and called him immediately. He set up our appointment for the same day and as a courtesy he called me 30 mins prior to his arrival and showed up on time. The first thing he did is pull the chain that disconnects the door from the opener so he can operate it manually and checked that it moved freely in the tracks and ensure the springs were balanced. He said he could not detect any sagging and would not recommend new struts or rollers. Since everything checked out, he said it was most likely the sensor setting on the opener. Tom adjusted the sensitivity setting from zero (which basically stops the door closing if the wind blows hard) to a setting of three (a reasonable setting to sense kids or pets walking across the IR beam). One can only imagine who adjusted my sensitivity setting to zero! Even though Tom would not come out and say it, I will?the other company flat out LIED to us and tried to rip us off! While he was there, he raised and aligned the IR Safety Sensors on each side of the door for both my single and double doors and lubricated the rollers and now both my garage doors work and sound like NEW?all for a fraction of the other guy?s estimate. I?m so glad we got a second opinion and avoided getting ripped off. Call Tom if you want an honest technician at a very reasonable price!! Highly recommend!

This was our second experience with The Wright Door. Both visits provided quality service and professionalism. The first use of The Wright Door was for the installation of a new door opener. The second was an Angie's List Deal for roller replacement and door tuneup. Service was exceptional and we would not hesitate to use them again. In addition to providing the specified service, the door was adjusted for as much quietness as possible, and when I requested that our vehicle's Homelink system be programmed, it was quickly and courteously done. Kudos to The Wright Door!

Showed up on time. Found that there was not enough clearance, between the ceiling and the door, for the track to run. He had to get parts for lowering the door, so rescheduled for following day. Next day, arrived on time and was done in 2 hours.

Tom Wright initially came to my home to perform preventive maintenance on my garage door. He explained every step of the process and answered all of my questions. He noticed the door springs were stretched explaining there was no way to predict when a spring would break but he wanted to make me aware of the wear on them. With no pressure from Mr. Wright, I chose to have the springs replaced as soon as possible. The springs on my door are larger than standard so he ordered them and came out the next day to install them. He did not charge for an additional service call and gave me a great price on both the preventive maintenance and springs. He also performed a couple of extra tasks without charge. It was a pleasure doing business with The Wright Door Co. and I can highly recommend them to anyone.

He was prompt, very forthcoming, good at troubleshooting, very personable, and effective.

I called Wright Door Co. because a broken spring left me with a garage door that wouldn't open and my only vehicle stuck inside. Even at 6:45pm on a Friday, I got a live person on the phone without having to go through an answering machine/service. I did not request emergency/same-day service, but asked if someone could come out the next day (Saturday). Conveniently enough, Dan was already scheduled to visit a couple of customers in my area, and was able to work me in. The day of the service call, Dan called when he said he would and arrived when he said he would. He quickly replaced both springs and then pointed out that the rollers were starting to wear out and offered (but not pressured!) to replace them while he was already on-site. I took advantage of the offer, and a few short minutes later I had a quiet, functioning garage door again. I couldn't be happier with the way this service call went.

The problem was diagnosed and fixed within an hour. the service person was professional and informative.

He quickly identified the problem, and presented a couple of options to consider. Initially bought service for 1 garage door rollers replacement and misc. For $69.00 and after I saw how quickly the work went and the improvement in the door function I had the second garage door serviced also. My wife and I were both very pleased with the service and have saved their contact information for any future needs

I have a garage door that is about 10 years old. My self and two little childern were trying to leave to go to church and the door would not open. Then I relized that one of the spring had become broken. My husband was out of town. I always find it a bit difficult to get someone to do a good job. Plus make you feel comfortable.I knew there was no way I was going to get anyone to come out tonight. It was 6:28 pm. The most I could hope for is someone would be willing to come out in the moring early. I call THE WRIGHT DOOR Co. spoke with Tom, Very nice. stop what he was doing. turn around and helped me. He came wright out and fixed the door. Lube the door and told some thing to help me in the furture. Great guy, very nice, quick, good price, and I felt like it was someone in my family just came over to help me out. I am very happy!!!!!

I was expecting to have to replace the entire 20-year-old garage door since one of the panels had a break in it. Had been advised by another garage door company that replacement was the only solution. The Wright Door company was able to save the door for many more years of service by adding metal bars to each panel of the door to provide stability. The old spring broke in the process so it was replaced with two new springs. The old rollers were replaced for quieter and smoother action. The workman waived the service call charge. All in all, I was able to "save" the door for about 25% of the cost of a new one. I also appreciated that when I called to make the appointment, I was able to schedule it right then and there and not have to wait for a call back. If I had been available, the repair could have been done in one day; because of my schedule, it was done the 3rd day after my call.

It went great. Good work, fast, and good conversation while work was being done. They came out within a few hours of being called and new exactly what needed to be done.

Dan, from The Wright Door, came and got right to work with the maintenance. He replaced the rollers with those made of a better material for rolling. He explained that they would last a lot longer and would be quieter. He then used a lubricant spray. After that he took out the battery that was no longer working and replaced it with one that i had previously purchased. Also, I had told him that rain water sometimes leaked in, so he changed the tension, so that the door would rest fully on the floor when it was down. He was very polite. I appreciated that he answered my questions and gave helpful explanations. He reassured me that the door was a good one, and should last for years. Last, since the originally scheduled maintenance man was stuck in traffic, and Dan had to come instead, he took an extra $10 off the Angie's List special price. I had chosen this company because they had so many reviews, and that they were rated so highly. I absolutely agree with the other reviewers, and would recommend them as well.

The technician was punctual, professional and quick with the repair

During the call, they diagnosed the problem and quoted me $180 for both springs. The work was scheduled for next day's first appointment at my convenience which I appreciate (they did have a same day appointment but I preferred the next day). I was called 30 minutes prior to arriving. During spring replacement, new rollers were recommended which I opted for - he also tweaked the opener to operate as designed. I was perfectly happy with the whole process. I completely recommend them and will use them again in the future.

My garage door is nearly twenty years old, and I wasn't sure whether or not to replace it. Provider offered to do as I wished, but told me he was confident he could repair the existing door.
