It did not go very well with Marler & Eiford. The follow up was spotting the desk and we never really come up with anything different with what we had. We tried to work an alright idea that I had about what we can do but we were not asked what we were trying to do. We’ve had some other things come up and they just put on the back burn and so we haven’t really proceeded with anything on any place since then. They were supposed to give me a new kitchen design and it never happened. It basically took an idea that I had, incorporate it and they never really came up with a workable design. The pricing would have been good if they came up with something.

Larry came and gave us his assessment and price quote. We had several bids but chose to go with him. The work was done to our satisfaction. All the damages were repaired properly. He even added more insulation to make sure the pipes won't freeze again. The cost was reasonable. The quality is good. I would definitely use their services again in the future.

This is the first time I had a design done. When we first met, he mentioned that he no longer had a partner. I felt like his partner may have been the one who handled the designs before, but I do not know that for sure. Since I was not in a hurry and he had other work going on, this process took several months or more (can't remember). He measured my kitchen and eventually got back to me with some plans. I don't know if I could have had a contractor implement the kitchen design based on the plans he provided. I found him to be a personable young man and cooperative. Unfortunately I was not confident in his abilities. Others may have a better outcome but for me, this was just an "ok" design and an "ok" experience. On the plus side he did suggest that we refinish our wood floors (not something he does) and that we would see a big difference. (We did and we love how the floors turned out.)

Larry came out in June of 2012 and met with us to discuss project. After being patient and waiting several months, and after many inquiries on our part, we still have not received anything. He has indicated that the plans have "been emailed" but I have given him 3-4 different emails on multiple occasions that he could try, and still nothing. He no longer answers my phone calls or emails

He was very professional, on time and detailed. I have not doubt his work would be done in the same way. We just chose not to move forward with the project until spring. We will follow up with him again.

Mr. Marler came to our house, took measurements and talked about the kitchen remodel. He actually did help us think about it in a new way, and sent us a drawing or two. But I understood the deal was for a working plan, with measurements that I or any contractor could use. We had an e-mail exchange or two before I asked for it. He sent me a mockup that looked like a plan. After that, he didn't return my e-mail. He may have gotten sick or something (hope he's okay). Or maybe I had too many questions to justify the time. I think he's a nice guy. It's just as well. We hired another contractor, who showed us that Marler's plan is somewhat inaccurate and lacks sufficient care/detail to be practical. All that said, I think the interaction was useful -- and worth the deal price (anyway) to get us on a path toward thinking through our kitchen. I appreciated his time, so I'm torn between a B and a C rating. I have to go with C+ only because it did not go as advertised. We did receive some value, however.

Appointment was easy to make. Needed to be rescheduled once but was not a problem. Two people arrived - they were here and talked with us for a while. Lots of great ideas tossed around. I was a little underwhelmed with the final deliverable but for $50, I was probably expecting too much.

It did not go at all. Mr. Marler was somewhat focused on something other than our project. He kept changing bids with items omitted or not priced. He left in the bid items that we furnished with his approval. I believe Mr. Marler had more contracts than he could effectively handle. At one time he told me he lost his work crew to another contractor. That was unfortunate, and may have been the reason he could not focus on our project. I could never pin him down on his bid.

Well.... First, I love the final product. My new bedroom is beautiful and very well built. The process, however, did not go as planned, either from my perspective or Larry's (The contractor.) This just happened to be one of those projects where everything that could possibly go wrong seemed to do so. AS a result , it took considerably longer than planned. Larry pulled it all together and all's well that ends well. I would use Marler and Eiford again for a project because I think our situation was just plain weird.

Very nice guy, did a great job. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the price. I bought the big deal for $99.00 and because the room was 12x13 I ended up paying around $250.00-300.00, can't remember exactly. My mom and Dad found a different painted who painted two large rooms for this price.

Larry Maler came to our house to get us an estimate for the work we needed done. As of yet, we have not received an estimate as promised. He stated that he would mail us one or e-mail one. We have not received anything. We have no intension of using this company in the future.

Price is reasonable. They were fantastic. They work with us. We really enjoyed having them here. They did a good job.

good. nothing outstanding about this offer though. the individual was courteous and professional. the same plan can be drawn by a novice on the HGTV house and garden plans software

Everything was fine except there was trouble getting the plans to download. After I received them, they were difficult to read and there was no refrigerator on the plan.

Spoke by phone. Made an in home appointment. Walked through the space and discussed ideas. No further estimate at this time.

Called Larry and told him that it was doing it again and did not get a response from him at all....would not recommend him again for anything, this is not how you treat your pass customer it was only a month after they finished my kitchen and the guys even told me that I might have some problems and they would have to do something different. I wish I could get a hold of Casey and Nathan because they would fix it for me as far as Larry forget it. I know before that I said that they did a great job on my kitchen which Casey and Nathan did but as far as dealing with Larry again NO THANK YOU!

They were completely fine and very nice.

He showed up very late for our appointment. He measured, discussed a few options and left. He stated he would email us the full set of plans. It has now been 6 weeks and we have heard nothing from him.

They were okay. We used them because of the deal with Angie's List.

I purchased an Angie's Deal for a design consultation with plans for a possible kitchen remodel. Larry was very easy to talk with and was happy to help. He gave us some good ideas for our space and drew up the computer plans within a short period of time. He was quick to make a few revisions for us as well. We look forward to getting a bid from their company for this work and possibly continuing the project with them. Nice guy and very professional.

All I can tell you is that Larry Marler was professional. We haven't had any work performed to date. I am Confident that the quality of his work would be excellent.

Larry came to my house and talked to me and I told him what I wanted and he gave me some suggestions which was wonderful and let me make the decision which I loved. I interviewed 10 different contractors before I decided on Larry, I was a little scared because you hear stories about contractors screwing people but I had a wonderful experience. Then I had the pleasure working with Nathan and Casey and they were wonderful very polite and did everything that I asked without any hesitation. Every day they were done they cleaned up everything and when they came in every morning they told me what they planned on doing for that day and most of the time they did but you know sometimes things come up that is extra...I have watched enough of HGTV to know this. Everything was done and I did have a leak under the sick they came out the next morning and fixed it. I would recommend Larry and his team in fact a couple of neighbors may use him they have seen his work and think it is wonderful. My mother is going to use him as well, so I am very pleased with my kitchen and thank you again for a wonderful job Larry, Nathan and Casey!!!

The rep was very nice. But I was not impressed with the end product.

Following the "big deal" on Angies' list I contacted Larry Marler via email and promptly received a phone call from him. We set a date to meet (which is difficult since we were out of town a bunch)...but he agreed to come on a Saturday (which was awesome). Since our initial visit...I bet we have had 10 phone calls and 3 visits to follow-up with us. I hasten to add...it is because WE have changed our mind or something he said sparked an idea....He always always patiently listens, takes notes, and then reproduces his drawings to fit our idea. I think we now have a FANTASTIC PLAN THANKS TO LARRY and we are getting him to bid on this project (which will take a good part of the month).......I HIGHLY recommend him.

Quality of work was outstanding. Larry is very personable and conscientious. We had issues getting the job finished which was in part due to miscommunication. I would say that overall our only issues were in communication - I was given an incorrect invoice for the tile originally & I had to send a lot of reminders to get tile ordered etc... But overall the experience was good, minor issues, and the final result looks absolutely wonderful!
