Marcela's Cleaning

They did a fair job on the deep cleaning. I would have liked them to clean a little more deeply - like the baseboards and cabinet fronts. The time they came for the routine cleaning, they did not do a very good job.

They are delightful and offer a high quality job. The house always smells like a lemon when they leave. Marcela is open to feedback and the few times there was a hiccup she addressed it immediately. I recommend them to all my friends. Love this team!

They come every two weeks. They've been phenomenal, we've used them for three years.

The team was very through and professional. They did a excellent job on everything that they were asked to do and beyond. I was thrilled with the finished product. They house looked and smelled fresh and clean without any chemical odor. They were particularly good in the bathrooms and kitchen, which of course get the most use. I will most certainly intend to use them going forward, if scheduling permits. I highly recommend this company. They did a great job and were very responsive to our needs in a tight scheduling spot where our previous provider canceled with no notice.

Initial consult: nice, and professional, however, they were a half an hour late. First cleaning: Twenty minutes late. A team of three came to clean the house. They brought all required equipment with them and were very friendly. Aside from being late, they were pretty good. Everything was basically spotless when finished. I was impressed. Total cleaning time: 1 hours and 20 minutes for three cleaners, making a total of 4 hours @ $100, or $25 an hour. Pricey but they got quite a bit done. Second cleaning: This is where my experience turned a bit south. First, Marcela's preference is, I guess, to schedule a specific time for cleaning the day before the cleaning is to occur. This is probably a benefit to many people, but for me this was an inconvenience. Second, the group that came was, I think, entirely different from the previous group, so there was no institutional knowledge of the home. They did an average job of cleaning, with a poor job on cleaning some counter tops, and leaving a few things unfinished and at least one cabinet door open. Marcela mentioned that if I left clean sheets on the bed, they would make the bed with them, but I think there must have been some miscommunication here - I think I didn't leave a complete set of sheets (some were in the dryer still) so they left the bed unmade, just replacing the comforter and pillows. What really bothered me about the miscommunication is that, even though I was home, no one asked me about making the bed. Although I could have been more proactive, for the price I was paying, I wasn't impressed. They spent an hour with 3 cleaners, making for ~$33/hr. For that rate, I think it is fair to expect better service. Overall, the problems of punctuality and inconsistency bothered me significantly, especially at that price point, so I decided I was better off just cancelling my service. I think if the price point works for you, and you could get Marcela to provide the same crew every week, you might be able to get more out of the service.

Marcela called and warned she and her crew would be an hour late because her client wanted more work done. Now I understand why! She and her crew were thorough, fast moving, and did an excellent cleaning job. She even asked about things that I hadn't thought of, and I had them do it. Next time, we'll have them do more. I've already asked her for another appointment.

We have been more than pleased with this cleaning service from the get-go! The team arrives promptly, the ladies are always dressed very nicely, arrive with happy faces, and get right to work!!!!!! When they leave, our house sparkles!!! I have the ladies use some specific products that I like used for cleaning! They listened carefully the first time I explained the use of these products. The ladies have been cleaning for us now for over two years! I could not be more pleased with this cleaning service. Marcela is always very prompt about returning calls and emails. She is also very kind and willing to work with me when I need an extra day of cleaning due to guests and house guests coming/leaving!

We have used Marcela's cleaning service for close to a year now. We have been very pleased with the quality of service and would highly recommend them. The house is always cleaned to our standards and the crew is very easy to work with.

They were fine. Nothing wrong with the service, just okay.

I just wonder how long this has been going on?? A police report has been filed, but I am not optimistic.

I called about two weeks ago and Marcelas daughter came to give me an assessment and price. I then agreed to their price and scheduled our first cleaning for 3/31 at 1pm. On the date no one showed up to clean and my calls to their number were not returned. This is clearly not a company that is interested in having a good reputation so I will look elsewhere for a company that lives up to a promise made to a new customer.

Called on Wednesday and made an appointment at 9:00 on Saturday. We were waiting for them over an hour on Saturday morning....No one showed up or called us. Called the company again and the owner said she needs to pick up her daughter and was run out of time without any apology. She promised to come over on Sunday afternoon. Same thing happened again, no one showed up or called. So disappointed. This is not a reliable company.

I had used Marcela's back in Sept, 2014 & was satisfied with the work the two ladies did so I decided to have a pre-holiday cleaning of the two floors of my small house. I scheduled an appointment which was later changed for their benefit. It was at an earlier time so I was not quite ready & had to keep working to straighten up some areas to make their job easier. Two ladies & a man came. Marcela said they were from Cuba. I could not communicate with them but explained to Marcela that I just needed a general cleaning, mostly dusting & vacuuming, kitchen wiping, etc. It was not possible to communicate, besides pointing, to tell them which areas were ready for them. I was busy getting rid of clutter & they appeared to keep busy. They completed the job in a little over 2 hours. Superficially it looked O.K. to me so I wrote a check & also tipped them. Over the next few days of my holiday preparations I observed several areas that had been totally overlooked by this crew. Behind my toaster oven there were crumbs plus several dead flies. I could write my name in the dust on the T.V. screen. Under my family room sofa were numerous kitty treats mixed in with dust bunnies. I have never done a deliberate search so am not aware of other areas they may have neglected. I just hope my guests didn't notice any.

The 3 ladies took about 2-1/2 hours and cleaned everything. They were excellent, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms,floors and furniture. The house looksgreat.

The 4 ladies that arrived at my home, on time, were very organized & professional. Once they scoped the job at hand, they each took charge of an area & did their jobs efficiently. When needed, they assisted each other for certain task, then returned to their own task. They were polite, pleasant & knowledgable about what needed to be done & how to do it. After the crew finished & left, a couple of concerns were found. I contacted Marcela who quickly responded. Those concerns were resolved to my satisfaction.

Crew was very efficient. They listened to my instructions, then went right to work. I didn't have to shadow them to make sure the job was done correctly. My house looks great. They vacuumed and then lightly damp mopped my hard work floors so they shine now. Bathrooms and kitchen sparkle. Shortly before the crew was finished, a supervisor stopped by to make sure everything was ok. I will definitely use this service again! I have used other cleaning services in the past & this was the best!

Marcela came promptly to give me a quote & her team provided the service just days later. They did an excellent job of cleaning.

Marcela's cleaning company originally came to our house after we purchased a deal on Angie's list. Saying that Marcela's employees are detail-oriented is an understatement. They dusted in places I haven't touched for years! Marcela's daughter even came to the house when they were nearly finished to check their work. I was impressed with Marcela and her staff and my house looked amazing. In fact, they were so incredibly hard-working and thorough that we hired them for routine cleaning services.

I called the number for Marcela's cleaning twice, once on the September the 1st ( I understand this is a holiday ) and again on September the 22nd. Both times I left a very detailed message with my contact information and I still have not gotten a call back. I wanted someone local that wasn't part of a large franchise with a lot of turnover. I was impressed with the 90+ positive reviews and A rating. I am looking to have my house cleaned every two weeks, but I guess Marcela's is too busy and not taking any new customers. At least have the competency to call me back and let me know.

She did pretty well. It took her about 3 hours to do and she brought another lady.

There was a slight confusion with the date but Marcela was communicative. Marcela overlooked the work of her three cleaners. They spent two and half hours cleaning. They cleaned all of the floors, kitchen surfaces, bathrooms and dusted the blinds. The service was great.

I am very satisfied with Marcela's cleaning service. Marcela came to my house to evaluate the same day that I placed a call with her. She looked over the whole house, explained in detail the services that would be provided for each type of area, and explained her approach to cleaning and the products and methods used in great detail. She answered all of my exploratory questions with honesty and clarity including real life examples of situations involving property damage, employee injury while performing work at my house, and theft. After talking through all aspects of the arrangement I felt very comfortable with moving forward with the service. The first visit was for deep cleaning of the entire house (3 floors, 4 baths, 4 bedrooms) for $300. A team of 3 ladies performed the work. They arrived 30 minutes early and were done in 4 hours as planned. They did an excellent job and I was very happy with the results I immediately signed up for regular cleaning services. Marcela called the next day to follow up and we agreed to move forward. I would like to call out how flexible Marcela's service is. She is willing to consider many frequency options. I was undecided on whether to do every other week or monthly cleaning. I ended up asking if a visit every 3 weeks was possible and Marcela was fine with that and at the same price as the bi weekly rate. She also offers multiple payment method options so there is a convenient way to handle it for just about anyone. Thirdly, she is open on Saturdays which is great for those of us who have trouble fitting visits in during the week. So far we have had one regular cleaning visit. The team of 3 ladies arrived promptly and did a wonderful job of thoroughly cleaning the entire house. They even cleaned out the cat litter box, something I did not expect. I am very satisfied with Marcela's housecleaning service and plan to continue using it for the foreseeable future!
