Marcela's Cleaning

It was a perfect experience from start to finish. I'm actually going to be calling her this week to schedule dates for holiday cleaning.

Marcela arrived on time with her team. All of the women were very friendly and courteous and attentive to their work. I was so impressed by their attention to detail. There were a couple of special requests I made and they were very willing to do them. They also washed the insides of my windows as part of their job - every window! My home sparkled when they were through. I will use them again and have already recommended them to a friend, who was very pleased with their work.

Marcela came with 5 women in very short notice. They fit me in at the last minute for an hour because they were near my home. They were amazing! We recently laid hardwood floors throughout the house, removed paneling, did other drywall work and painted our home. There was construction dust everywhere. The floors shined afterwards! They were so flexible with me. I moved furniture into rooms as they dusted and cleaned the floors. My windows were streak free. One girl folded 6 loads of laundry and organized it all. It made my day! I plan on using her for a bi-weekly clean!

They go above and beyond and do a fantastic job. I have had other cleaning services and this company does a much better job. I want to personally thank them for making my life easier. I will definitely use them ongoing.

I met with Marcela for an estimate to clean our home on a Saturday evening. She was prompt and professional. She told me exactly how her cleaning service would work and exactly what I could expect her to clean (pretty much everything). Her price was a little more that what we had been paying, but I told her I would be happy to pay it if she delivered as promised. Now, after 3 cleanings, I can tell you I'm excited to get home the days she's been there. I have had many house cleaners, but her crew is the best by far. Our house looks perfect every time. They actually move the furniture to clean underneath! Our carpet looked like it needed to be replaced, but they do such a nice job vacuuming, that it has been restored to its (almost) original state. It is a pleasure to have Marcela and her crew in our home every week. By the way, I made one request of Marcela after the first cleaning, based on a quirk of my husband, and they addressed it immediately the following week. Thank you!

Overall everything went very well. This is a good company because she is trustworthy with my personal posessions and she is polite. She does a great job and everything looks great and has a good appearance when you come in.

We spent$125 on that service. We have paid less to people and they did not get the job done, but she gets the job done. It is easier to pay that price when she is getting the job done and we really like her. She is really good and she even comes early. One time we had a problem and she had to come back, but she came back the same and fixed it all up perfectly. Everything was just fine and we liked that.

Marcela's Cleaning was very responsive and cleaned most areas thoroughly. Some areas required additional cleaning and some of the trash and debris were not taken to the trash bins in the post construction clean-up. Overall I appreciated their responsive, prompt and friendly service.

They were very good and easy to work with. They were very friendly and professional. They really know what they what they are doing. They are cleaning 5400 square foot home.

When I called Marcela at first, she scheduled a date to come to my home to assess my needs for regular cleaning help, and to give me a price. As she looked at the job, she listed everything that needed to be done, and all of my preferences as I told them to her. She explained how her service works, and we agreed on a price for regular cleaning services. The evening before her scheduled cleaning dates, Marcela sends an email confirming the time when she will arrive the next day. The first and second scheduled days were very snowy weather, but she arrived, on time with her team. They all worked diligently and efficiently. When they finished, I felt as though my house was cleaner than it had been in a long time. I have had cleaning help for many years. Marcela and her team have been doing a better, more thorough job than any other that I have employed before.

We are very satisfied with Marcela's cleaning service. The work crew she brings with her is efficient and does a very good job. Marcela is flexible with setting appointments and always punctual. We have used this service about six months and find Marcela to be very responsive to our requests. Marcela does a consistently good job. At $90, we believe we are receiving a very good value.

Nice people but cleaning was very average and i had to have plumber out to fix handle they broke in a shower....they have agreed to pay fir the repair, but we will see...

It went very well. They arrived very close to the time we had set up. They did an excellent job cleaning. They did every slat of the blinds which were throughout the house. The bathrooms were very clean as was the kitchen. They brought their own products which was a great help to us since all of our supplies were packed. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Marcela was very good at getting back to me as soon as I called - she was out to my house for an estimate within a day or two and cleaning by the next week. They cleaned 4-5 times total (every other week). Original quote was $90 for 2 - 2.5 hours of cleaning ($45/hour) for 4 people. She said the first cleaning would take about 3 hours - it only took them 2 hours so I asked if we could negotiate down to $80 since it looked like it wouldn't take as long as she first thought and she said that would be ok. All the cleanings after that only took 1 hour for 4 people. I asked if we could negotiate to $50/cleaning because the original quote was for $90 for 2 hours and it was only taking them 1 hour - I thought since the time had been cut in half, the cost should be as well. She said she couldn't do that which confused me since the original quote was actually less per hour ($45 vs. the $50 I offered). She said she didn't negotiate on an hourly basis but on a job basis. I felt mislead because she overestimated the time it would take to clean my house but stuck with the originial quote even though it took half the time to clean. I don't think that's good business. She told me I would be better off working with another cleaner because when her clients try to negotiate the price down she will just stop cleaning for them - which is what she did with me. Other than price, they were very prompt on arriving to clean and everything was cleaned pretty thoroughly - I had to reclean a couple of my bathroom sinks after they left because the drain cover and the sink bowl weren't completely clean.

I emailed Marcela through Angies list, she contacted me right away. She came over and gave me an estimate, it seemed fair. She does a great job, really cleans the house, all the rooms that you ask her to do. The crew is nice, and they are usually here for two hours.

Understood my needs and wants. Nothing I asked of her was no problem. I will be using her once a week . I understand she wants my companys. I will wait on for a few months to see if ,she will be consistant. I beleive most people are on there best in the beginning. That is why I call Marcela because the person I was using became very relaxed.

I have a large, 3-story 1890's Victorian house. I asked Marcella to clean one floor/month for $90-100/mon. Marcela came for a pre-cleaning appointment and discussed what they could do and what products they would use for my approval. On the day of the cleaning, 4 women arrived and went right to work. Not only did they sweep, mop, dust, etc., they cleaned the inside of the windows, steam cleaned the bathroom, and did the woodwork (no small job in a Victorian!). There were a few things they didn't get to, but they worked continuously and diligently and just ran out of time. I felt I got more than my money's worth and will continue using them.

I researched housecleaning on Angie's List. I was impressed with the reviews of Marcela's service. However, I gathered that punctuality would be an issue when dealing with her. But I decided that a clean house was far more important...So what if she is a few minutes late? Marcela suggested that we meet at 9:00 am appointment for estimates and an explanation of services. At 8:25 am, she left a message to inform me that she does not service homes outside of a 20 mile radius. Why on earth did she waste my time? I would think that a business owner would make sure that their specialized listing on Angie's List specified the areas served and/or any business rules. Or discussed it in our initial phone call. I wouldn't have called her or got my hopes up about service.

When my long-standing cleaning person retired, I found Marcela' cleaning service through Angie's List. Marcela promptly responded to my email inquiry. She arrived on time for the appointment and was very professional. She has cleaned my house every other week since then and I have been impressed with the quality of her work each time. I'd recommend Marcela's services without any reservations. I think she is fantastic.

Marcela's cleaning service is wonderful! I have been looking for 2 years for a cleaning team to come bi-weekly and have not been satisfied with any of the services we've tried. Marcela is delightful and extremely professional. They are now are regular cleaners because they do a great job!

I have used quite a few cleaning services/people over the years. HANDS DOWN, this is best experience I have ever had. These 4 ladies showed up like an army and worked really hard. I can tell they enjoy what they do and they clearly take pride in their work. Note, I was her first client in the city of St. Louis...they normally work further out in the county. I appreciated Marcela driving further than usual! I will have her come every two weeks now.

My husband was in Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital and I had been staying there with him When his death sadly happened and relatives started arriving I realized that my house was not ready for guests and had been really neglected during my husband's last illness. Our daughter called Marcela's Cleaning from Angiie's List without meeting or knowing them. Marcela and her team were willing to work my house in tjat very day because of the circumstances. They had to work without anyone being home, without supervison. When we arrived later in the evening the house was spotless, gleaming, and at this very sad time in my life,I could still be comfortable in greeting family and friends who came to pay their respects. I found this cleaning service team to be very thorough, professional, and honest. For example, a lady cleaning the kitchen felt that she had made a little scratch on the black refrigerator and called and left a message that Marcela's would pay for a touchup. When I looked at the little scratch I couldn't even see it and anyway - I'm not concerned about any little scratch. What means the most to me is the honesty, hard work, professional cleaning done perfectly without my even being there. I am tempted to keep Marcela's Cleaning Service a secret so they will be there for me, but that wouldn't be fair. They are a great cleaning team and if you use them you will be very, very happy.!
