I have a $1,500 project with equal price on bid from Schwartz Brothers and another company. The estimation report from Schwartz Brothers was pretty rough and lack of details I asked. As 1) I used their service before, 2) we had discussed details, 3) and I had another offer to compare with, I thought what wrong it could be. So I chose Schwartz Brothers anyway as they had flexible time. Turns out it was a big mistake, and I was charged 150% of the original bid at the end. At the first day after the project kicked off, they told me they forgot to add one item I asked in the bid, so I had to pay $200 more, for their mistake! What choice do I have. After all project finished, they said the original bid could not cover the cost, so I had to pay another $600. Then I did a homework, learned how to calculate the materials cost, and the market price for the project. I also compared the material consumed by them with the estimation report from another company which is detailed and professional. So they consumed almost equal materials (including 15% waste, with same materials) as in the other company's bid. On some material like cap blocks, they even used less. But they charged much more. I also learned the market price for a concrete retaining wall is $15-30 per sq ft, while they charged me $35 per sq ft at the end, with extra $400 on buried drain and soil. Guess it is a lesson I have to learn. Never trust if something was not written on paper.

Very flexible and easy to get a hold of. Did what would be a weekends worth of work for me in a couple hours!

They accomplished what I asked them to do.

I had ordered mulch from the Big Deal - and got to work on cleaning the area where the mulch was to be spread. Unfortunately I didn't finish - but the guys were great about putting the mulch down where they could and leaving the rest for me to do. There was a bit of a glitch regarding the heads up phone call prior to arrival, but no big deal.

Did a good job. Pulled some flowers along with weeds.

Schwartz Bros. Always does an excellent job. I have used them exclusively for several years.

It went really well. They came and trimmed my bushes. I was really please with them. They also weeded out my flower beds while they trimmed the bushes.

It went GREAT! I had a team of three men for 1 hour & 20 minutes. They were fast & did a great job! They cleared out a corner, including uprooting young trees & digging out the roots. They also cleared out yew bushes, including down to the roots. Multiple flower beds were cleared & they had a chainsaw, so several very large tree limbs were trimmed back. Other bushes were trimmed & cleaned up. While it was an extra fee, it was worth it to have them haul it all away. They were quick & efficient & willing to tackle any job. By myself, it would have taken days to do what they did in a little over an hour. Money well spent!

They have done well so far. They are efficient. We have a contract with them and we shall continue to use them.

It was a big deal. They did good work and that is why we contracted with them.

Unfortunately, responses from Brandon are mean, disrespectful and upsetting. Even if you have differences with a customer, the last thing a business owner should do is alienate that customer through delay of refund and disrespect. It is very upsetting to me and I want this resolved so I can be free of Brandon. I want to reiterate - the work of the crew was professional and excellent. The problem was Brandon.

Excellent job of clean up and weekly mowing has been done on the agreed day. Overall very pleased.

The crew did exactly what I asked for and expected. Left our yard looking as good as possible. Thanks.

Everything went fine. They got to put more seed on the lawn.

First let me say that I have never had a landscaping business that replied to my request for a bid so quickly. Brandon replied to my request on the same day (Tuesday) I filled out the bid request on line. Sam then came out on Friday of the same week and gave me a bid to do the work. I contacted Brandon on Monday and he had his team ready to work on Friday. They were in and out in less than 2 hours and did a terrific job. It was something that would have been an all day (or even all weekend) job for me. They were prompt, courteous and did great work. I will definitely be using them again.

We have been using Schwartz Brothers for years and love the work and dedication at very reasonable fees. Although other companies have been used, none had the same quality and consistency.

Came out to give estimate for lawn work. When asked for estimate the cost of new sod the estimate was much too high because his estimate was for 4000 sq. ft. But the lawn is about 1750 sq. ft. Felt that the overestimation and poor measurement was the main reason why I choose not to go with the services.

It was great. It made lawn care easy!!!

He arrived on time, was very professional, and completed the work.
