Went well overall. The foreman/leader was good with the men and nicely communicative with me as well, and i was especially pleased with him.

I received an email from Mr Schwartz asking what work I was wanting performed in the 4 man hours that I paid for. I explained that I wanted the flower bed on the south side of the house cleaned out and all seedlings removed that have been allowed to grow next to the house along that side. If time allowed, a walk around and whatever else they could do to clean up the over grown yard would be appreciated. I was then asked when I would like them to come out and do the work. Since it had been raining quite a bit I left it up to them and when the weather would allow. Then in April, 4 men arrived with 1 coming to the door to announce their arrival. He said they were there from Schartz and were to clean up the leaves in the yard. He was also very insistent in knowing that haul away was an extra charge. The leaves were cleaned up over the weekend so there weren't many in the yard and he knew nothing of cleaning out the flower bed but said they would take care of it. I told him as far as haul away, anything they cleaned up would fit in the yard waste can which was already emptied of the leaves that were cleaned up. He claimed it would not fit in the can and that we could work out a deal on the haul away. Even though I said it would fit he kept insisting that we work a deal on the haul away. I checked 35 minutes after their arrival because I no longer heard them outside only to find that they had left without letting me know or having me look over their work. Seedlings and weeds were still on the south side of my house. They did clean up the few leaves that were in the yard though and hauled off the yard waste rather than using my yard waste can. Had the work that I requested been complete, it would have been well worth the money. But as it stands, I am very dissatisfied and am doing the work myself.

I was contacted by the company immediately and was told what to expect. All has gone as promised.

I have had very few weeds this spring and the grass is green. I do have a problem with some landscaping I was gong to ask about but they I did not catch them last time so I need to call. Overall though, a very good service I would recommend.

I called the company about their special--I actually think I was a day late but they gave it to me anyway! They aerated my lawn as agreed and I thought it looked fine but the owner said because it was a bit wet in places he would like to come out again in the spring, at no charge, and do some additional aerating. As a business owner myself, I really appreciate the owner offering to go the extra mile like that. If only more businesses understood that by doing little things like that you will gain a customer for life!

I paid for the Angie's Big Deal through PayPal. Schwartz Bros called and told me when they planned to be here for the first lawn fertilization. They came when they said they would. The next two applications they came out while I was at work, but I knew they were here because I could see the granules in the grass. The lawn looks beautiful this spring. But with the fertilizer and all the rain, our lawn has grown by leaps and bounds. Now our lawn mower broke and my husband is recovering from surgery, so I emailed Brandon about mowing our lawn. He replied immediately and is going to fit us into his schedule this week. I am so thankful to Schwartz Brothers!! Great example of good old-fashioned customer service. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

I was impressed with the responsiveness of Schwartz Bros. When I called to schedule our service after buying our Angie's List deal, there was an email offered as well as voicemail option. I opted to contact them via email, and this proved to be a reliable form of communication. They were very understanding about scheduling our aeration around us being able to schedule sprinkler repair work--we wanted to make sure that all of our sprinkler heads were marked prior to asking them to come out and aerate, and because this service was dependent upon another, Schwartz Bros. was very patient with a "can this be sometime after this week" kind of schedule. Once the sprinkler work was scheduled with another company, I contacted Schwartz Bros. again, and our aeration was scheduled. Due to weather, we were contacted a couple of times to reschedule so that the overseeding and aeration could occur at the optimal time. Schwartz Bros worked with us on scheduling a time when we would be around so that we could indicate where all of the areas in the yard were important to avoid with the aeration machine. They arrived on time-- they suggested that we reschedule due to heavy rains, but I did not get back with them in time, and the team was sent out to do the work since I had not confirmed the reschedule in time. I appreciated that they did not just cancel without my OK, and so the work was done once the team confirmed that the ground was not too wet. They were very courteous and thorough, even putting more seed in areas that were bare. Excellent team!

Took a bit of time to get the job complete due to rain but nonetheless patience prevailed and the job was accomplished

I first contacted Schwartz Brothers at the end of March to get an estimate for lawn mowing services. I called on a Wednesday and was told to expect an estimate the next day. They did not show up or call me, so I called them on that Friday. I received an apology and the statement "Oh, I thought my brother took care of that." They came out the next Monday and left an estimate of $37 per visit for a very small yard. It was explained to me that they would have to use a smaller mower to get into the back yard, so that elevated the price. I said OK and they said they would be out on Thursday or Friday, weather depending. They didn't come either day. They didn't come the next week either saying it was "still too wet." This had gone on for 3 weeks now, waiting for an overcharged mowing of a small yard. In the end, when I didn't hear back, I asked the neighbor kid who did a great job for only $12. I got the impression that Schwartz Brothers couldn't be bothered with such a small residential property.

They have been doing a great job. Lived up to expectations. I would highly recommend them.

The company really went deep which tore up my yard, taking out my cable in the process. It looked as if I had 50 golfers taking divots out of my yard all day long. Company rep said it would look better the upcoming season...so far I am not impressed. Also I asked them to be careful with their over seeding, particularly around my rock gardens. Well I have a good crop of grass growing in my rock gardens. So much for my instructions. I am was not happy with the service.

That is the way it worked out. Guys in a hurry...... What they did ..they did well. Just didn'nt finish the pre-paid job.....tho they left a note in the door asking for extra money to cover the increased price of gas. I called and said that under the circumstances I was not going to contribute. This is my second negative review but I am usually easily pleased so please do not put me in the old grouch category After this happened I ordered Christmas year long memberships for both my kids.......I love your corporate idea and hope it works out well for them. The owner of the company is very responsive and continues to be whenever I have a question or need. My husband and I have been impressed with the work and will be requesting this company to do more landscaping as well.

The fall bush trimming was very good and as I said above we now are using them for the complete lawn and landscape maintenance and so far through a few weeks it has been excellent.

They did an excellent job. I plan to use them in the fall for aeration and overseeding as they did such a good job.

They tried to charge me extra money for the deal and they were not there the entire time that they are supposed to be. They really made me mad.

At first, I had a little difficulty getting in touch with the compnay becasue they didn't answer my telephone call to the office. However, as soon as I emailed, I got an immeidate response and we were in business. We arranged a date, and the crew showed up on time on the appointed date. They did a nice job cleaning the winter debris from our yard, and the crew leader was polite and professional. I would definitely recommed their services to others.

Group did a great job cleaning up the limbs and debris from property before spring.

The first time SBLS came out, they cleared all leaves and cut back honeysuckle in our back area. This cost us $100 for an hour of work by four men. We were so thrilled by the work,we hired them a week later to plant 20 bushes and trees (which we bought), spread mulch (our pruchase) and cut more honeysuckle back. They were respectful, punctual, and thorough leaving our outdoors very pleasing. They needed four 1/2 hours to complete and so the price reflected the greater amount of work done. We feel it was worth it.

Very professional, highly recommend this company.

The individuals were on time, did the work quickly, and left.
