AFFORDABLE MUDJACKING

We asked Affordable Mudjacking to fill some areas under out front sidewalk and driveway that had been hollowed out by drainage and animals. Tom quickly came out and gave us a reasonable quote, and they performed the work soon thereafter. They were able to repair our sidewalk without drilling any holes, and they did a nice job of repairing the hole they had to drill for the driveway repair. They did a nice job, and I would hire them again.

Was able to get a quote scheduled on my first call. The guy was on time for the quote and seemed to be pretty thorough and the price was about what I expected. We were only getting quotes because we had an inspection coming up on the house and wanted to be prepared in case we ended up having to have the work done. Our buyers didn't ask for it but I will definitely contact them in the future for any concrete leveling/mudjacking needs.

On time for both estimate and work. Friendly, informative, knowledgeable.

Jake and his crew were great, they called to schedule a time and was actually early. My driveway is all trued up, and cleaned up the mess. Plus they repaired a broken corner that was broken off last year. Highly recommend !!

They spent several hours ( was a big job -used 4yards of material) and cleaned up afterwards.

I had requested a quote of leveling my driveway, I was concerned it may have settled to a point that if not fixed it would result in greater deterioration. Not having any knowledge of what to do or how to do it I contacted and expert.

Contractor required payment at time of service request, which we did. We then waited 3 months for the work to be completed. When it was completed, we immediately noticed that they used a color of caulk that didn't even come close to the color of the concrete. It looked totally unprofessional. I called the owner and asked what could be done and was told that there wasn't anything they could do other than come out and scrape out the caulk when the weather got warmer. They didn't offer to try to do a better job of matching the caulk with the concrete. I did not have them come back out.

Great price, liked the compound they used (clay mixture). Best description of work needed, checked out job site before date of work, punctual and professional. Months later after some hard rains, absolutely no shifting of compound.

For most they were good. When they do mudjacking they drill these holes and inject the mudjacking stuff and then they mud and they plug those holes. There's one of the hole they did in the side walks, the materials they used to plug actually popped up when he was done. So we called them and 10 days ago they were supposed to come and take that off, but they haven't shown up yet. But other than that everything they did was excellent. They haven't sent the balance of the payment, we paid $300 deposit and there's $1000 left and I have held the check until they come to that but they haven't shown up so I'm sure that at some point they will because they'll need the money.

Beginning with the bid, their service was excellent. Although they were busy and running about a month out, Tom and Jake accommodated my request to get the job done quickly. Within about a week of providing my downpayment they worked me into their schedule by working an extra Saturday. Jake and his coworker showed up right on time at 9:00am and went to work. I was impressed that they placed their large truck in the street rather than the driveway without me even asking. The job was more difficult due to the fact that more yards of mix were used due to the erosion underneath the patio. Nevertheless, they had plenty of mix and got the job done quickly and efficiently. They cleaned the area nicely after completion. They never once mentioned charging more for my rushed schedule and the additional materials. Everybody involved with the company was easy to work with and helpful. They provide high quality service for a reasonable price.

Tom Donahue is a very honest guy. He came to give us a quote on some uneven stairs and told us how we didn't need his services. Very knowledgeable and professional. If I ever need a mudjacker I will be sure to call him.

I called Affordable Mud Jacking based on references from Angie's List and a neighbor who had used them. Tom came on a late Saturday afternoon of the same week we called for an estimate. He took time to explain what needed to be done and what didn't. I thought I had a problem in another area based on a previous estimate from another company. Tom explained why there was no reason to do anything with that area, although he could have easily added it to the job for additional money. He went over what needed to be done with me and my wife and said they were running about 30 days out. He said Jake would give me a call about a week before the work date and confirm the time. Jake, Nate and Mike arrived at the scheduled time and got right to work. They were very well organized and extremely thorough. I had never seen mud jacking done before, but they went beyond what I expected. Not only did they pump mud in the holes in the concrete, they looked for voids around the edges and pumped mud under several places around the edge of the filled area. Jake explained that I should add some more dirt in these areas and other places that didn't need filling in order to prevent water from seeping underneath the concrete and causing future problems. Everyone was very courteous and professional in everything they did. I was especially impressed with the time Mike took to fill the holes to just the right height and even duplicate the texture of the existing surface in the filled area. He also did a thorough job of cleaning the area when they were finished. I was extremely pleased with everyone from Affordable Mudjacking. Based on my experience, I would recommend them without hesitation.

Affordable Mudjacking did an excellent job, and I would certainly recommend them. W were in a time crunch, and they showed up on a miserable, rainy day and still completed the job. Our driveway was worse than anticipated and required a large amount of material, but Affordable Mudjacking made sure that everything was repaired correctly. We are very pleased with the results.

We have been very pleased with the work they did. We had several estimates and they were very reasonable. Other companies recommended additional work that Affordable said was not needed. We made a $100 deposit and 2 weeks later they came while we were at work and completed the project. They worked around our flower beds and rock wall and other than the marks on the concrete where they drilled, we could not tell they were there. Their clean up was very thorough.

Gettting the estimate took time but it was understandable because of the draught we had last fall. The owner came as scheduled and gave me an estimate on the spot last November and said it'd be spring before the work could be done. In February I called to see when this can be done. The scheduler called the next day and agreed on the work to be done in two days. Two guys came and worked all day for the work. It was a cold day but they did an excellent job. They cleaned up very well as well.

We found that all of the mudjacking companies in the area were extremely busy and Affordable mudjacking was no exception, but it was worth the wait. We called for an estimate around September and Tom wasn't able to get out until October time frame. He was the only company we found that would do an estimate without us having to be there, which is what we needed as both my husband and I work full time and it is very difficult to leave work . That being said, Tom left the estimate in the door and only required a $100 deposit to secure time on the calendar. It took about 2 months from when we sent the check to when they were able to make it to the house. The crew was very punctual, polite and provided quality work. We are very happy with the work. It has been about 6 weeks and we have no complaints.

On 19 October, 2012, Mr. Donahoe called and said that his crew would be out on the 31st of October between 8-9 Am to begin the work. While he was on the phone, I asked him about whether I still needed to clear the dirt away from the areas to be jacked. He said NO, they will do all of the work. On 31 October, 2012, 8:25 AM, the mudjacker team came over and started the work. The completed the job at 10:30 AM the same day. I paid by Credit Card, and the lead man said that the number would be secured by his office. The operation raised the A/C pad back to where it originally was, but we still need to put additional dirt around the pad to prevent erosion in the future. They also had to drill several holes in the sidewalk and driveway to completely fill the voids. All three workers were courtious to me. All seemed to go very well with the job, but the request by Mr. Donahoe that I clear the dirt away from the affected areas still bothers me a bit, even though he later backed off of it. Later in the day, while walking in the back yard by the A/C pad, I found the prybar used by the mudjackers. I called their office, and notified them that I placed the prybar in my driveway. They will pick it up when they are in the area, in a day or so. On 1 November, 2012, Tom Donahoe came out and picked up the prybar left by the mudjacker crew yesterday. Overall, I guess that the operation went ok, but that request that I do their prep work was something that didn't set well with me. It's especially bad, in view of the fact that I was paying them to do all of the work. Too many contractors these days want the customer to either do their prep work, or cleanup work, and I think it's sickening. Oh well, that's only my opinion I guess. If you decide to hire this guy, keep on your toes, he may try to get over on you!

Bid process was efficient and professional. Start date was farther out then we would have liked but all of these contractors are busy as a result of the dry weather. Once they notified us that they would be starting, they came on time, completed the work quickly, cleaned up and were on their way. We look forward to seeing how it looks this Spring.

We signed the contract and mailed the $100 deposit on October 19th. The owner told us that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before they could do the work. I called at 5 weeks and left a message. I did not receive a reply and called again. I was told the work would be done in about a week. The work was not done until almost 9 weeks from the date of the contract.

Excellent work at the right price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Affordable Mudjacking.

I was not home. My husband told me that he had never seen such hard workers. It took them all day. He was precise with measurements and levels. It was 101degrees. They kept right on working. No hurried effort. He knew exactly what to do, and tripple checked his work. This man is amazing, and at a great price!

The compound only lasts two weeks and I'm out $500. Will never use them again.

My walkway was mudjacked a few months ago by Affordable Mudjacking. They did a great job and Jake was very nice and explained everything then. For whatever reason, it sunk some so I called them about it. Tom, the owner came out and looked at it within days. The following week, Jake was out and fixed the problem and once again, it looks great. Like with any business, things are going to happen. I was very impressed that Tom and Jake were so responsive. I really appciate that they stood behind their work. I think that says so much about the company. Both of them are very nice guys! I would highly recommend this company! It is so nice to find companies that stand behind their work!
