I am pretty happy with the door but it was a little expensive. They promised me to have it in by the 4th of July but they had to back track on that and got it done on the 6th. They did show up on time to do the job.

We've used them on many occasions and they have also always been very professional and in this that was the same. They make their appointments and they keep their appointments and they're very considerate as far as accommodating the customer.

It went very smoothly. When installation was complete, he took the time to familiarize me with the workings, do's and don'ts and general operation and maintenance. I was well pleased.

I write to warn about inferior garage door opener provided to me--Odyssey brand. I purchased two identical new ones with new garage doors. One opener is fine. The other screeches when opening and closing and is much louder than the other. Company agrees one is louder than the other but says it opens and closes fine other than being noisy and will not replace.
I have used this company before and they are dependable but I would stay clear of any Odyssey opener as they are not a quality product....

I wanted to match the design of the original garage door and since it was a custom design, all of the quotes I received were very expensive except from Overhead Door. They have an extensive design portfolio and they were able to match my original door at a standard door price. They installed the new door quickly and efficiently and I was pleased with the quality of work. A few weeks after the installation, I noticed that the door was rubbing the upper gasket and wearing it out. I contacted Overhead Door and they immediately returned and made a correction to the door rails and replace the rubber seal. The door has worked perfectly ever since.

The service Tech was on time. Showed me the problem. Manually opened the garage door, I didn't attempt, and let me get my car out to go to work. All in all a very pleasant unfortunate experience.

They screwed up. It took 2 weeks to get the doors and I have ordered back up batteries for the garage doors and they have not come in yet. Its been almost a month. First time I went to their office, they told me a certain type of motor and they came out here and he charged me for a second type of the opener motor and when they came to do the job they got a third type. The backup batteries are plug and play and they are still backward.

We were quoted $299 to replace the garage door opener. We were hesitant because the current one being so new and their inability to service it. We have called and contacted them through their website to confirm that they are unable to get the parts to service the current unit. The first time I called and spoke with someone in parts. They said they would follow up and never did. A week later I sent a request online about my concerns and a rep called me. He was very polite and said he would follow up with the technician that came out and get back with me. It has been nearly two weeks and I haven't gotten a call back. I will look to have the door opener replaced by another company.

My Overhead door would not close even though the sensors appeared to be in alignment and nothing was blocking the path. The chain worked fine when the door was detached, but the door wouldn't go down when it was attached. As a result, I called Overhead Door for a service call. I called first thing the next morning and made an appointment for later that day. Being able to respond the day of request is one thing I like about Overhead Door. I 've used them for a number of years, this being our second house with an automatic garage door. They have always been very responsive. Phillip, the technician, showed up as scheduled. He found that the sensors were misaligned. I must have banged one getting the lawn mower out. Since he was there which automatically would have cost me $82, he suggested some repairs/adjustments that would make the door and its operation sound. He replaced the stripping above the door to block wind. He reattached the chain bracket to the piece of wood that was attached to the header. He strengthened that piece of wood with new bolts in new locations, as the old ones had almost worked themselves out after so many years. The extra work and materials cost an additional $50. The money was worth the piece of mind that we now have that our door will work correctly.

It has always been great because their staff is always well trained and very professional. I have used them several times over the years and they are very consistent in their service, never a let down. I called them this time because I wanted a tune-up on my door since it was making more noise than when new. This was more of a preventative maintenance call than a repair call. It's much quieter now and it was worth every penny. I went ahead and changed out the standard rollers to ball bearing rollers and that was $50 for the ten rollers installed. Well worth it. I'm always happy to recommend Overhead Door of KC.
