They did a good job. That is why we went there. Price was good. It went well. That car was actually for my son. I had to be the one paying for it, although he pays for it, because he had no credit history. He still doesn't, I guess. They had what we wanted, we got a fair price. It just went really well. Would most likely purchase another vehicle from them.

Description of Work: purchased a Honda Fit. Was treated well by salesman. Had to wait often to finish purchase transactions. Will not return because the pressure for purchasing an extended warranty was enormous. They would not take no for an answer. I finally got angry and said that was it.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. They have a nice waiting room and a nice shuttle service. We can call the dealership and get an appointment to get our vehicle in the next day. We are very happy with the service, we have bought our vehicles from them and they are a very good dealership overall.
Description of Work: We had both of our cars serviced. We had to fix the breaks on my husband's car; he fixed the alignment and rotated the tires on my vehicle.

They are very professional, and give quality service. They tell you what they are going to do before, and then they do an inspection, and tell you the things that they will do or need to be done, and then you can decide what you want done, and what you don't. They are more expensive than an independent dealership, but on the other hand, they have all the training and expertise. In this case, you get what you pay for, and if you want quality work, you have to pay money.
Description of Work: I had some suspension work done, and the spark plugs too.

I called to get a pre quote and was told to come in. My son took his car in after I called. The quote was high, but he has minor body work needed on trade in. The sales person said it would show up on carfax, even though it was not reported to insurance since it happend in our driveway. That is not accurate and I verified that with our body shop. They lied to him trying to have him take less for the trade in. I called back and spoke to the salesmanager, who stated not sure what body shop we use. He was incorrect. Overall bad dealership, dishonest and tries to manipulate. AVOID!!!

Service was performed in a timely manner. The waiting area is comfortable with complimentary beverages and snacks available. The service personnel are knowlegeable keeping me informed about other issues that might need to be addressed without trying to do the hard sell. An exterior wash and interior vaccuum is included at no additional charge.

We went to Frank Leta a couple of weeks before today and test drove an Odyssey with David S., a person in their sales department. David was knowledgeable and seemed honest - he was the only positive part of our experience. We got several Internet quotes with competitive prices from TrueCar.com a couple weeks later - one of them was from Frank Leta, but there was a quote that was better from another dealer. Frank Leta promises to match the price of the car by $100 under their quote, so we brought it there in the evening (9/27/2013) and started negotiating with the sales manager. He lowballed us on a trade and insulted our intelligence by telling us about the sales process, how KBB is often inaccurate, and that our trade was actually worth less and that they would be happy to make several hundred on a trade and that the price we were quoted was fair. He then told us that the padded on extras (the $997 all season package on every car) weren't negotiable. The cherry on the cake was when he handed us our quote and told us it was and quot;suspectand quot; and told us he wouldn't match it. At that point, we left - we've bought enough new cars to know when an operation is sleazy. For the record, we did end up going to a different dealership (St. Louis Honda) and bought the Odyssey with no trouble - they matched the quote from the Internet no problem, removed the all-season package costs. My gut feeling is to avoid Frank Leta's dealership at all costs. Do not do business with them - they are typical and quot;used car salesmenand quot; - slimy, sleazy liars - and draw you in with false promises.

As a member of Consumer Reports, Frank Leta Honda gave me a guaranteed quoted price on a new Honda CR-V 4WD LX via e-mail. They set up an appointment for me to test drive the car the next afternoon. When my daughter and I arrived for our test drive, the sales associate, Jay, went to get the car. He returned about ten minutes later, and said the only car they had was a top of the line CR-V EX model that was inside the showroom and which cost many thousands more than my quote. (According to the Consumer Reports arrangement, they were supposed to offer to get a comparable car from another dealership for me at the same quoted price if they couldn't provide one.) The whole experience felt very sleazy from the moment we walked into the dealership-- it did not feel right. We both believe that Frank Leta Honda never intended to honor their quote--it was just a trick to get people into their showroom. I don't anger easily, but I can't remember encountering such dishonesty, sleaziness and horrible customer service in a very long time. Stay far away from this place!! (That same evening, I purchased a Honda CR-V from a more reputable Honda dealer.)

When I need service I go there. They service both of our vehicles. The service is fine. I just wish they had told me about the van I bought. It has those pack wheels where they puncture and they are awfully expensive. You only get about 30,000 miles before they have to be replaced. They are like $1,200 for a set of those tires. If they had alerted me to that, I might not have bought the van. I will continue to use them.
Description of Work: I bought a van from Frank Leta Honda and they service it. They last did a new battery, a brake tune and a bunch of jobs.

I asked them to find the leak and fix it. They told me the leak was in the AC radiator and they would fix it. They then came back and said I had a second leak so they fixed that. Next, they told me I had a third leak in a coil so I had them fix it. Then they told me the system was running but the compressor was squealing and would probably go out soon. I had to take their word for it and by the time they were done they had basically replaced the entire AC system. After I thought I had been thoroughly ripped off by them, I went to another dealer. After I stated to the new dealer that I felt I had been ripped off he basically implied that I was not the first person to feel that way from that company.

This was not a positive experience. Got lots of pressure and commentary from salesman to convince me to pay asking price. Did not feel comfortable continuing negotiations with this dealer. Very high pressure.
Description of Work: I was in the market for a pre owned mini-van. I had information on "Blue Book" value (from loan officer at my bank) on the value of the van I was seeking. Dealer wanted almost $4000 more than the value of the van. Salesman told me if I thought I would pay the blue book value on the van I could forget it. I told him if he thought I would pay $4000 above blue book then he could forget it. Few days later made an appointment to try to purchase the van. Salesman called me the night before appt. and told me that not only did the van sell, that two people were apparently fighting over it, and it sold for dealer asking price. Manager and salesman also haggled with me about whether or not I could take the van to my mechanic. Van was certified, but I still wanted it checked. Other dealers I have spoken to have no problem with this. Will not purchase my vehicle from this dealer.

We went to Frank Leta Honda knowing we wanted a CRV or a FIT. After looking at several CRV's we decided that was what we wanted. Frank Leta includes mud flaps and rubber floor mats on all of their vehicles for a $400 charge. (You also get the regular floor mats.) I really wanted the floor mats since I knew they would keep the CRV clean (they work well) so I didn't mind the charge. We've never negotiated much on vehicles--but this time we prepared ourselves with the Consumer Reports Bottom Line Price. Our salesman, Matt Prater, went back and forth between his manager and us several times. This phase probably took two hours. Matt was very helpful--best salesman we've ever had--he was especially good at explaining the navigation system and helping us to find the right CRV. So the Bottom Line Price helped a lot, as did knowing you were probably going to pay 4% over that price by the time you were done negotiating--and that is what happened in our case. We also had an online price quote from another local dealer that strengthened our price position.
Description of Work: We bought a 2008 CRV-EX with Leather and Navigation. We love it!

We spent $100 for them to tell us that they couldn't find anything wrong with the car. We then called another independent company that services Honda's and Toyotas. Over the phone the lady of the other company told us that our problem was something covered by a recall. We then called the Honda dealership where we had purchased the car. They confirmed that the problem was covered by a recall notice. We took our car to this dealership and the car was fixed for free. Leta's service should have been able to find this problem and not charged us $100.
Description of Work: In July 2007, we took our 1999 Honda Odyssey LX for service due to a noise that was being heard.

I took my car to Frank Leta because the a/c was not working. Frank Leta did not indicate that the air compressor failure was a problem for the CR-V. I learned of the problem through a message board. I contacted the corporate office and they were willing to pay for the parts and I paid for the labor. When I went to pick up my car, the service person told me it would cost $800 ($500 more than what the corporate claim manager quoted). Because the claims office was closed, the service person said that my only option was to pay the $800 and they could resolve the issue on Monday. I requested and received a loaner car, but 20 minutes later they called and said that I could pick up my car because they were able to resolve the discrepancy. While I was satisfied with the work, the overall experience was not pleasant.

SINCE THE CAR WAS NO LONGER UNDER USUAL 36,000 MILE/3 YEAR WARRANTY, I WAS LIABLE FOR THE FULL REPLACEMENT COST OF $540. HOWEVER, THE MANAGER OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CONTACTED THE REGIONAL HONDA SERVICE MANAGER, AND WAS ABLE TO REDUCE THE PRICE BY 50%. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN, ESPECIALLY FOR LARGER MAINTENANCE JOBS.
