MCGHEE CONCRETE

Description of Work: The biggest problem I had was, they just quit. it was raining the day the job was finishing, and they just left, all my lawn furniture and things left out in the rain to rot. My husband and I were leaving for a funeral, and he had a knee injury and was facing surgery, my 87 year old mother was overseeing the end by necessity, and was ill. They had a crew of 8 or more and they couldn't take 5 minutes to help. And they never came back. They left it totally up to me to call them. The supervisor came by and commented how they left us in a mess, but he never came back. I figured at some point they would at least contact me, but no. I ended up paying another company almost $900 to grade around the pad they poured and place the dirt where it was supposed to be. I needed a sidewalk around my house and they couldn't even take the time to give me a bid. Needless to say when the sidewalk had to be done, they did not get the call.

Description of Work: We added on to an existing patio. Tom and crew first cleared the area, then put down a rock base. Next they put rerod and anchored it to the house and existing patio. They also installed a downspout popup drain and put in forms. The 2nd day they poured, leveled, brushed. Edged and so on. Then a couple days later, they came back and sawed breaker lines. Very pleased with the crew and the job.

Description of Work: Still waiting for them to start work after getting estimate in July. I had to initiate calls to find out status.

Description of Work: expanded driveway; took out old sidewalk, replaced a section of original driveway and poured a new, curved sidewalk for me. Beautiful.

Description of Work: McGhee Concrete added a 8ft x 15ft addition to my driveway and removed some large limestone slabs from a past job. They were on-time and efficient. The new concrete turn out just as I had wanted.

Description of Work: Called for a quote and someone did return our call, but we were not home. Called back and was told they'd return our call early the next week. Have never heard back from anyone at Mcghee.

Description of Work: The project was to remove our existing patio and replace it with a stamped concrete one. We asked Tom McGhee to advise us on color style and pattern of the new patio and the result was nothing short of artwork! He transformed our broken patio into something one would see in design magazines. It is truly beautiful and exceeds our every expectation for the work. The work was done by Tom and his crew in a very professional manner. The men began work on time every time and cleaned up at the end of each work day. They were very respectful of our property while working. We have used this company in the past to replace the front sidewalk and were so pleased that we did not hesitate to offer them the business of the patio of replacement. They did everything they said they would do in the time and manner they said they would. When I have the next project I will call them again.

Description of Work: I called with questions about issues with my driveway. My phone call was answered immediately (no waiting to hear back from someone!) and options were given to address the problem. When the time comes to complete the work I will definitely call back.

Description of Work: Our forced walkout patio required a 10' retaining wall, 6 steps, a 12 x 16 patio floor and a drain system. We also had radius steps poured for the existing patio. It was a tight area to get equipment in and out of.
