Always Helpful Movers

Late arrival, did not communicate that to me, had problems loading last of the items they did not leave room for. Guys were friendly, it was a hot day and they did not come with a cooler of cold drinks so I supplied.

AHM was fantastic, start to finish. They were prompt, courteous and careful packing us up, and unloading. Loved the service and attitudes of their employees. Very trustworthy. We would use them again and definitely recommend this company!

DO NOT use this company unless you want to be ripped off. My family and I will never use a moving company again after this VERY negative experience. I called Always Helpful Movers to set up a time to get a quote. The Owner John came out to do a walk through. I told him we had two 16 foot trucks booked bc my husband didnt feel comfortable driving a 26 foot truck. I told him we needed a 26 foot truck and someone to load and unload. He said that they have a 26 foot truck and a team that could do that. He sent me quote. I also had a couple other companies get me quotes. John called me twice to see if I were going to go with them. That should of been a red flag. My husband and I discussed the quotes and went with Always Helpful Movers bc they are supposed to be Christian based. Based on that we chose to support them even tho they were a few hundred higher than another company. We sent them the deposit, contract, as well as the insurance money. Shortly after they deposited the check I would receive phone calls every couple days from John as well as different employees asking when I was going to pay the deposit and other questions. I had to inform them they were calling the wrong client and I was not going to Green Bay but Bemidji MN as well as my deposit was paid and cashed weeks prior. I confirmed every time they would be there at 9am on moving day. John said yes 9am start and done at noon. With all the mistakes we started to worry but already paid the deposit and didnâ  t want to lose $2100. I had to call the day before to ask a question about the balance and was told again 9am start. John sent a group to our house on moving day an hr and half late with a pick up truck and trailer. My husband called John about how we were supposed to have a 26 foot truck and they were supposed to be there at 9am not 10:30am. John said all our stuff would fit in the trailer and if it didn t he would send another truck over. It didnt all fit bc we needed a 26 foot truck like I said at the beginning. We were planning on leaving Kansas City no later than 2pm. The first group loaded and left. John never called so my husband called him and was told he was unavailable. We had to wait an hr for someone to bring another trailer to get the rest about 4pm. We didn t leave our house til 6pm to say our goodbyes to our family. We finally got on the road to drive 6.5hrs at 8:15pm. We got into Minneapolis at 4am after being up at 6am since we were told a 9am start. Two days later they came to deliver our stuff to our new house. John sent us a bill for $2400 when it should have only been $1753. John s estimate was way off and we could and should of went with another company that was $1000 less instead of trying to support a Christian based company. We reached out to a few people who have used his company before and they had the same complaints about the drastic difference in price. He estimates low to get the business and springs the bill on you at the end.

It was excellent. I had used them before to move me, and I knew they would do a great job again. Very professional in every way. They were on time, and took the time to care for our belongings as if they belonged to them. I totally appreciate everything they did to help our move a great experience.

They did a great job moving us across the country! Every time we’ve moved something had been damaged or broken with the exception of always helpful movers! I would hire them again!

I highly recommend Always Helpful movers! They are hard-working, professional and very friendly. We immediately felt very comfortable with the entire team. This was more important than I realized since we were with them for 8+ hours. It was like having friends and family move us - but way better because they know what they are doing. These guys never slow down or stop smiling. And they hook up appliances! I initially passed them over for a company with more slick sounding customer service. Huge mistake. The slick guys cancelled on us at the last second. Always Helpful saved the day!!!

The two gentlemen that moved our stuff were very courteous and made sure to be careful with our furniture and did not take longer than necessary since they were being paid by the hour.

Always Helpful helped us move our three-bedroom home from Kansas City to Houston. They were extremely thorough and careful, resulting in almost zero damage. There were also very punctual, always ready at the date and time promised. We compared several vendors prior to moving. Although their price was not the lowest, it was very reasonable, their invoices were extremely clear, and the final cost came in LESS than the original estimate. In addition, when we moved in, they helped us by replacing the power cord on our dryer when it did not match the new outlet. In terms of customer service, they were friendly and very hard-working. They have my highest recommendation.

The best moving experience we ve ever had by far. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

They did a great job moving us from one place to another. They were very friendly and courteous. Gallo, Carl, and Greg were very respectful and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. Nothing was broken in the move to the new place. Their prices do run a little high. Overall, I was very happy with the service.

Moving is the worst. I had a challenging and unique move that was stressing me and my wife out. I reached out to Always Helpful Movers to get a quote and they said they had seen everything after 20+ years in business. After I explained my situation, they said it was a new one (like I said, a challenge involving a rooftop entrance w/ no stairs). John assured me they could get it done. Moving day arrives and I have a a 4 man team (Hiram, Carl, Sam , & Greg) and it went without a hitch. I have NEVER had such a wonderful experience moving. All four of the guys had smiles on their faces the entire time, worked swiftly and took great care with moving our possessions. I cannot recommend Always Helpful Movers enough! Hiram, Carl, Sam, & Greg were an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you so much for turning a stressful situation into a great experience. If I move again, I m contacting these guys without question.

I absolutely hate moving even if it would be just across the street. However, this was a 600+mile move and the guys packed everything and I do mean everything like it was their own personal items. I had ZERO DAMAGE to anything that was packed. This was the easiest move I've ever done and I wasn't worried about what to expect at the other end. The owner himself was part of the crew that delivered my items. Who even does that any more? A big thank you to the guys who packed me up and a big shout out to Rocky who was very polite and very helpful too! Don't waste your $$$$ on a big name mover who throws your stuff around. If you have to make a move, these guys do it the old fashioned way, with care and like it was their own belongings being moved.

Always Helpful Movers were great. The experience started a bit questionable with tardiness by the moving crew to pack the moving truck, but once they did arrive, they did a great job. All of my furniture was wrapped and protected. The next day when we arrived to my new place is where they earned 5 stars. The movers, including John, were extremely polite and helpful. We came to a problem when we could not get the couch through any door and instead of giving up, John rigged the couch in a harness, and stood on top of his moving truck to hoist it over the balcony with out guarantee that we would get it in. They went above and beyond in that situation and remain incredibly polite and positive. I would recommend them for your next moving experience.

Steven and the team we had from Always Helpful Movers were fantastic. They were polite, thoughtful, extremely careful with both our belongings and the home we were leaving. They were very thorough making sure we didn't leave anything behind as well as not taking anything we needed while our belongings are in storage. I can't say enough good things about them. Just a great bunch of guys.

I cannot praise these folks highly enough!! We chose them because they had very competitive pricing, but also because they promised to deliver our goods by far the quickest. We asked them to pack some large and fragile items, such as paintings and expensive furniture, and EVERYTHING arrived in the exact shape in which we left it!!! Unbelievable care was taken in both packing and unpacking. NOTHING was damaged or lost. They moved our stuff from Kansas to South Carolina on July 4th and 5th (a 15-hour drive), showed up as promised, and unpacked everything very quickly and carefully! AND - the final cost ended up being 14% less than their estimate in their contract!! I have never had that moving experience before. These people make me feel like moving again! Sorry, that was a dumb joke ;-) - Seriously, these people are the BEST!

Always helpful movers were on time, very careful with prepping all items for the long distance move from Kansas to Colorado. When the team arrived in Colorado they were very courteous and hard workers. Everything arrived in tact and couldn t be more happier with my experience with this company. Outstanding job!

AHM was incredible! We had to find a last minute moving company to get us from Lenexa KS to Greenville SC. Greg was so kind when he came and gave us an estimate! He listened to all of our moving concerns (we had never used a 3rd party mover before), and quoted us a fair price - even with moving one of our cars. The day of, they brought 4 movers and carefully packed EVERYTHING. They wrapped and padded any unboxed furniture we had, and padded my car so it wouldn’t get scratched in the trunk. Carlos and Steven accompanied us to SC and let me tell you, they are amazing people. They updated us every step of the way so we knew when to expect them. The day they unloaded, they put everything where we needed it, put together one of our tables that had to be taken apart in moving, and helped get rid of some extra boxes. I’m glad they took their time packing and unloading, because absolutely nothing was damaged, and none of our furniture had any scratches. For our first time using a moving company, I am so grateful for AHM, especially Greg, Carlos and Steven. They are fantastic men and really helped make our moving experience a great one. I can’t say enough great things about them!
