When the tech came on 4-25-18 to do the bi annual tune up there were no issues with the unit. A couple days later the unit starting tripping the breaker. It continued to do this so I called and they sent another tech out who didn't even bring a flashlight when he came at 10:00 pm. He said it was just a breaker and he didn't need to look at unit because they were just here. Then the unit continued to trip breaker. I called again and they sent out another who tech that took the panel off and found the hard start hanging by wires and not completely connected. The inside of the panel was also charred. The whole unit now needs replaced and they are refusing to take care of

It is $39 a month. They come out twice a year. They should be coming out here before too long in the fall to check on the heating service. The furnace, the blower and the coil is inside and the compressor is outside. They ware booties when they come in the home even when it’s not necessary.

I had no idea how much installing a new A/C and furnace would cost, but when we needed one, I am glad we called them. Not only was their work excellent, but when a customer service issue cropped up--a potentially huge one that certainly cut into their profit on our job--they made the hard decision and made it right. Legally they were not bound to do anything, and could have just taken the money and left us dissatisfied. But they didn't. Steve Kurtz, the owner, is a man of integrity. These are the kind of people you want to give your business to.

The technician was punctual and extremely professional. It took about 15 minutes for him to diagnose that the problem was related to a bad capacitor. He installed a new capacitor and the air conditioner now works perfectly. I have absolutely zero complaints or negative things to say about the technician (Antonio) he was excellent. My biggest grip with this company was the cost - $218 to show up for 15 minutes and install the capacitor. They charged $139 for the capacitor and $79 for the service call. While I appreciate that they were able to get here quickly (I called at 8:30 at night and they were here by 8:30 the next morning) I feel like we got a little ripped off on the overall price. I should have done more research but when your house is already 85 degrees and climbing and you have a small child you just want to get things fixed. So while I appreciate their punctuality, I don't think I would use this company again. I have had capacitors replaced on other AC units in the past for less than half the price.

We actually have a service plan with them and I think we just added an electrical service too. The cost was expensive because we had to replace the coil with our HVAC unit and it was like less than five years old, but we were told that it was really like construction grade like low quality so they replaced it with something good. Now, we are on a service plan and they come out twice a year, one to check the heating and one to check the AC and the new cost to come out. If we should have an issue, there is not cost for them to come out and they cover up to like $500 for a visit. You pay anything over $500 or something. For the first $500, it is covered. There is like a yearly max, but they have a good service plan so now we are on the plan. They have been really good. I called around other places because it was July. It was hot and the AC was not on. You put it on full blast, but it was not cooling anything down. It was really uncomfortable. So many places could not come out and they literally were willing to come out. They came out the same day like that afternoon and they come out within like the hour of what they tell you. You did not have to take the whole day off of work for them to come out. You can pretty much schedule a time. It is not like the cable company where you are at their beck and call if they tell you they would come out between 9 a.m. and 5. They are not like that. They actually come out within the designated time. They were the only people that can say we will be there and I was grateful.

Description of Work: They located and replace a blown fuse in the furnace which had rendered the entire system inoperable. The technician showed me where the fuse was located so that if it happened in the future I could repair it myself and not wait for a technician. They did not charge me for this service call.

I had contacted them because of their deal they offered for the tune-up. However, they did show up an hour or two late and I had to have them come back the next morning. They said they tried to call me, but they said they didn't have my correct number. The technician who came out was very nice. They recommended a couple of things that I elected to not go forward with at this time. Overall, my experience with them was fine.

We have been using them for six years since they installed the units. Because we have two separate of each systems, they give us a discount on their Comfort Club membership annually. The technicians they send out are friendly and we trust them. My experience with them has been fine and we will continue using them.
Description of Work: They installed a heating and air conditioning system including the duct work and heat pump. They come out twice a year for maintenance as well.

The unit broke down in the evening and they came out the next day at nine in the morning. The technician had the part on the truck and was able to complete the replacement on that same visit. My experience with them was great!
Description of Work: They replaced the capacitor in the exterior AC unit. I also signed up for a maintenance plan with them.

We had called several other companies and got other bids. They seemed more knowledgeable than the others and could answer more questions. They completed the job in one day. They hauled away all of the old units and cleaned up well. My experience with them was very good.
Description of Work: They installed a 92% energy efficient furnace and an air condition unit for us two years. We have a five year maintenance plan with them. They come every spring and fall and service the unit.

He called ahead, came within half hr of his call.... explained what he was going to do..... while he was here we both saw MICE in my basement which I never knew I had..... Gawwwwd, now I need a pest control company. Back to the furnace tune up.... great.

I was presented with many replacement options, none of which fit either my needs or my wallet. I quickly contacted another heating company and had the furnace I needed installed within a few days.

I spoke with (removed member name) about the fact that our records showed that he cancelled his appointment with us. He was going to check his records to see if he had an invoice that quoted our prices. Because we offer an "Apples to Apples" Guarantee, it surprised me that we weren't able to come an agreement with (removed member name). One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning offers eight guarantees, one of them being our Apples to Apples, which states that we promise that you cannot find a comparable installation for less or we'll pay you a bonus. All we ask is that it be "comparable." Most companies are not able to compete with us on quality because they cut corners to give a cheaper price on important aspects of an installation, which we refuse to do. We hope that (removed member name) is happy with his new furnace, but if he'd gone with our company, if he had any issues at all, we provide an exclusive two-year satisfaction guarantee. lWhen shopping around for a new AC and furnace, we were impressed with the gentleman who came to discuss options with us. Right off the bat, they installed the wrong system and had to come back and fix it. Things seemed fine after that, but the next winter, when the unit wasn't even a year old yet, it stopped working. A guy came out to fix it, admitted he didn't really know what was wrong but tried something, and left. Not two hours later, it stopped working and I called back. They told me a tech was on the way, so I chose to keep my kids in the house and bundled them for bed, thinking it would be fixed soon. I called back multiple times to see where they were and kept being told I was still 'on the list.' I finally fell asleep on the couch at around 3:30am. Woke up the next morning to a freezing house and no one ever showed. Called to complain (at least the lady I spoke with was helpful), and they said they didnt show any record of a call being placed for a tech to come in the first place. FINALLY, after 3 more days of arguments a head tech came out and fixed the problem. We were also given a free year of the Comfort Club maintenance program for the hassles. Of course, when we went to set up an appointment for it this Spring, they had no record of it. The tech canceled on us once, was an hour late when he did come, and didn't actually clean any of the things he was supposed to. We are very frustrated with this company, and will not be using them in our next home.

We had One Hour out to install a new furnace in place of our existing, low-efficiency unit. I chose One Hour because they gave me the best bid. To their credit, they spent some time explaining the different types of furnaces and I felt very good on the front end. After they made the sale, however, I didn't feel like we received as much attention as we should have. They were late several times, and I quickly learned that their One Hour guarantee doesn't apply to installations. Though I certainly didn't expect to get a free furnace, I was surprised by how un-timely the company was with a tag line of and quot;Always on time or you don't pay a dime.and quot; The furnace works great, and their follow up appointment was very helpful. Although as I've had inspections since then, it has been pointed out to me that they ran electrical wires along, and affixed them to, gas lines. This is not to code, and I am paying an electrician to fix it. All in all we got a great furnace at a good price, but I wasn't wildly impressed with the company.

We have been very pleased with their service.
Description of Work: Our blower motor went out on a very cold night, and they were there in 30 minutes to fix it. We have used them for routine maintenance for years but are getting ready to have them replace our furnace and air conditioner.
