Handyman Matters did an excellent job, was very professional, and completed the work as promised.

Everything was done very competently and efficiently by John G. I have always been impressed by the employees taking time to figure out the most cost effective way to accomplish a repair. This is the third time I've used Handyman Matters and each time I have been very satisfied with the services performed by the three different employees. I used to be able to do minor repairs myself, but have lost the use of my left hand and arm, so am very appreciative that help is available for minor as well as major repairs.

I did a walk-through with John, from Handyman Matters so he could determine what supplies were needed. When we got to the basement toilet, he said a replacement was not needed, he could repair it. He did, and I appreciated the major cost savings! The lights were a bit more challenging, but they too are now working fine. When John drilled through my metal front door, he was careful to collect all the shavings so my dogs would not cut their paws. He concern for my dogs sealed it with me. The repairs were done quickly, but never seemed rushed. I highly recommend Handyman Matters.

Arrived on time each day. Cleaned up work area often. Followed work order to the letter. Excellent constant communication as to how I wanted the finished product to look. Loren Cole performed superior quality work, no short cuts. Extremely impressed and will hire for any future projects.

Good job overall. They came up with the best solution by far and were able to determine that when the shower doors were install when the house was built in 1996, that the sliding glass doors to the shower were incorrectly installed. They came out removed tiles with specials power tools so that only part of the tiles had to be removed and they were able to reuse the tiles that were lifted. We only had a couple of spare tiles, so this was very important. Other contractors didn't know that could be done. I'll use them again in the future.

They arrive on time and did a good job. I live in an old home with old wiring, and they were able to connect my new ceiling fans.

The repairman showed up on time as promised and was a pleasant person. He said he applied two tubes of calk to the flashing. He also hammered down some loose shingles around the chimney. This did not stop the leaks during rain storms. While still under warranty, I called the company to report the problem. My call was not returned. I should have been more persistent and called them again and perhaps they would have responded. I would not recommend this company.

They were quick. They gave me an accurate estimate. I am undecided about using them in the future.

The estimate was kind of left open which was the reason I didn’t go with them; he said it was so much per hour and he was giving pretty wide range of hours it could take, in the middle of nine hours to a maximum nine hours and he left it wide open, so it was too bigger a range of price for me to go. He responded alright, and he came out and did a estimate in a timely manner just it was not specific enough on what he would charge for the job and he couldn’t get anything done on it, so I just couldn’t go with him.

We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom into our downstairs bathroom. We knew at minimum we'd need a new floor and ceiling. We had begun renovations with another handyman a couple of years ago, but he had abandoned the job and we had problems finding someone to finish the work. I don't know why we didn't try Angie's List sooner!The president of the company, David, came out quickly and gave us a worst-case-scenario estimate. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be able to start for a week. When I told him that the leak seemed to be getting worse, he told me to keep him posted and, if he needed to, he'd get someone out sooner. The leak seemed to get better and we started on schedule. Not only did Loren (who did the work) fix the leak issue, he also finished the job in our downstairs bathroom and fixed some issues that weren't done correctly the first time! He painted the room and also the pin-stripes that I wanted for accent. We ended up adding a new vanity downstairs and a new vanity and toilet upstairs when he fixed and tiled the floor up there. He installed access panels in both linen closests for pipe access. Basically, he went above and beyond!We will definitely be hiring Handyman Matters again when we tile some additonal spaces upstairs.

He showed up on time. He got the job done on the same day he showed up. He charged me about $470 for his services. I will use him again in the future if I need to.

I previously used their services and requested the same handyman. He came out and completed the job within three hours. He did a great job.

They were professional, cooperative and always punctual. However, their price point was just way out of my budget.

He was professional. I ended up going with somebody else for a cheaper price.

It was a great experience! The technician was very friendly. They were a tad bit pricey, but the service was good.

The work was done several years ago, but it was okay. They did a good job and I was happy with their services.

I called Handyman Matters of KC and spoke with the owner David. He later came out to the house and gave me an estimate. He quoted me $550 and I followed up asking him several times if the $550 would take care of my problem, he said "yes". We went through the work that was going to be done along with a couple of other options. I choose the $550 solution. Due to rain, it to several days for the work to get underway, no problem so far. I signed the workorder and waited for the work to be done. Once Aaron gave me the total cost, which was almost $200 more than what David quoted me, I called David up. David started saying, the $550 was for labor cost only. I came back with "I asked you several times if the $550 would resolve my issue and at no time did you say that it didn't cover material". He said "there is no way that he could possibly know how much the material would cost". I said "he should've got the cost of the materials and emailed me a complete quote and at that point I could make an informative decision." He said "on small jobs like mine, he doesn't look up material cost." So on small jobs, David will quote you labor only and charge whatever he wants on materials without even realizing that when a customer ask you repeatly about the cost and you say "yes" to their question, they aren't expecting an additional $200 bill. In the past, when a contractor has given me quotes, it's always been labor and material. It's bad business practice that David doesn't feel that his potential customers aren't worth a few minutes to look up material online on small jobs. I had signed the workorder about a week earlier, i paid the addtiional $200. I will NEVER use Handyman Matters of KC again. If you choose to use this company, don't sign any workorder unless the labor and material cost is on the workorder, regardless of the size of the job and what David says verbally regarding the cost.

David was very professional and punctual to all appointments. He provided detailed estimates and followed up with all communication/questions we had. In the end, his estimate was on the lower side of others we received and it was a tough decision. We ended up choosing another contractor because of some of the ideas/design he had for our basement that weren't things we originally thought about. I'll consider Handyman Matters for future jobs I have as well.

Went really well. They called ahead of time to tell me they had to reschedule. The second time they came out to complete the estimate, they also finished the job the same day.
