This was the fourth time we had used a moving company and Royal Movers was the worse by far. They did credit a bit for damage, but have not refunded for overcharging us. I would never use this company again.
Description of Work: Company was hired to move us from a 3 bedroom house to a newer house 10 minutes away. Company showed up 20 minutes late. We had hired 4 men to do the move. Two stayed in the truck and waited while the other two brought out items one at a time and then waited for the ''boss'' to tell them what to get next. It took them 9 hours to move us. The move should of taken a max of 6 hours. We also had a lot of damage to our furniture. They broke off a top of my china cabinet, put huge scratches on leather furniture and walls. I had a new dining room table delivered earlier that day and they slid a box accross it and caused huge scratches. They also had quoted a price of $120.00 an hour and then charged $125.00. Towards the end of the move they just piled items and boxes in the garage instead of putting them in rooms where they belonged. They did not use a dolly and carried one box at a time to take longer. They were paid by the hour.

IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT THIS CUSTOMER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH US. WE CALLED THE CUSTOMER TO INFORM THEM OF OUR DELAYED ARRIVAL. TWO MEN STAYED IN THE TRUCK IN ORDER TO ENSURE YOUR ITEMS WOULD BE PROPERLY PACKED AND SECURED AS THE OTHER TWO BROUGHT THE ITEMS OUT TO THEM. THIS IS USUALLY THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY. THE DIFFERENCE IN ESTIMATED TIME AND ACTUAL TIME WAS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE CUSTOMER HAD MORE ITEMS THAT NEEDED TO BE MOVED THAN ORIGINALLY DISCUSSED. THE ONLY DAMAGE WE WERE EVER MADE AWARE OF WAS TO THE CHINA CABINET, WHICH WAS IN POOR CONDITION TO BEGIN WITH. WE DID CREDIT THEM MONEY FOR THE DAMAGE ANYWAY. THE HOURLY PRICE WAS DISCUSSED IN ADVANCE BY PHONE AND THE CUSTOMER SIGNED A RATE AGREEMENT BEFORE THE MOVE BEGAN SO WE DON'T UNDERSTAND THE DISCREPANCY THERE. HOWEVER, IN ORDER TO PREVENT ANY FUTURE MISUNDERSTANDINGS WE OFFER A MAXIMUM PRICE GUARANTEE FOR EACH CUSTOMER.
