Description of Work: Cleaned out a drain and got my sink unstopped. They were supposed to be at my home between 8 and Noon and called around 11:45 to let me know that they were going to be late.

Only one complaint was that they listed that they accepted American Express but after work was done, the representative said they could not take American Express. This could have been a dilemma if we had not had another form of payment. We have expressed our concern over this with the company.

Description of Work: I came home to find my outside spigot was running and the nozzle would not function to shut it off. It was extremely cold and an ice puddle was forming and growing. I called root-rooter and was told they would send someone out within the hour. Then I got a return call saying they could not send anyone until the next morning. I was greatly disappointed. I called a friend who walked me through the process of removing the malfunctioning nozzle with a screw driver and then using a wrench to turn the rod and shut down the water. I guess I saved a lot of money.

Description of Work: Backed up Drain on Christmas Eve - although took a while for him to arrive he was complete with about 90 mins.

Description of Work: Our sewer pipe disintegrated under our front porch patio. They did come promptly, removed a large patch of concrete from the porch, and replaced the pipe. We were satisfied with the sewer pipe fix, but not with the collateral damage. They used a backhoe, which cracked the adjacent sidewalk and broke a corner off our brick wall. They piled the extra dirt on top of our lawn, instead of taking it away. Then they planted lawn on top of the mounds of dirt. We called a manager who promised to come and fix the problem within a week. They never came.

Description of Work: The plumber arrived on time, to give me an estimate of service. There was no charge for the estimate or service call. He was quite professional. He said that my toilet just needed a $9.00 valve replaced, that would take 15 minutes. He said the charge would be $250.00! I have since received estimates from other Angie's list plumbers, who quoted markedly lower rates.
