Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Description of Work: This company used three different plumbers to fix a leak which visually originated around my toilet. Plumber #1 came 7/24 and installed a new wax ring and said the leak is probably caused by a deteriorated flange and he would have to tear the wall out. I opted for another opinion and company sent out Plumber #2 on 7/29 and found that Plumber #1 did not tighten bolts on the tank water line kit. Plumber #1 disconnected bolts when he pulled out the toilet to install a new wax ring. Plumber #2 apologized and installed a new tank kit and tightened all bolts. He also said the leak was not in area of the flange. He said to give it a day for everything to dry out, and to call back if still leaking. With an appointment set for 8/4, no plumber came and the leak continued. So I persisted and was able to get Plumber #3 out on 8/5 who identified the leak in a water pipe connected to the toilet. He fixed it and now I have no leaks. This was a very frustrating experience.

Description of Work: Bill wound up being $577.34. He would not apply the $75.00 coupon because he said he was giving us a "better deal". The office said he should have applied it and were to send us $75.00. They never did. Work done was not right and the same guy returned to fix it. He made another mess with water, did not clean it up, and charged us another $85.74 for more parts he needed to fix part of what he replaced the first time. I will NEVER have Roto Rooter step foot on my property again!!!!!

Description of Work: I had a previous estimate of $75 to install new faucet. Roto Rooter arrived and immediately told me it was $325, but I could have a special price of $250. I had purchased a deal from you at price of $25, I would receive $75 of service. I declined their offer. I'm immediately suspicious of any'it costs this much, but I'll give you a deal. But their cost was extremely high, special deal or not.

Description of Work: I had a leaky faucet in the bathroom sink that slowly dripped water. I purchased the parts for them to come in to fix. They charge $225/hour. I told the plumber that I purchased a deal $25 for $75 worth of pluming services from the Angie's list. He said that he did not even know where the money went. He charged me $300 for the work, although in the end he did let me apply the coupon. So I paid $250 for the service. Including the parts, I spent $300+ to fix that faucet. This is way too expensive.

Description of Work: Cleaned out the sewage line. They have good equipment that extends further than the equipment of some other companies. And they give a full year guarantee, which is much longer than the guarantee given by other companies. They came almost immediately. Good company.

He worked steadily and effectively, despite the difficulty he encountered in removing the somewhat-corroded old faucet system. He exhibited a cheerful and friendly disposition at all times. It was a pleasant experience having him in the house.

Description of Work: Service man arrived, was polite but told me that in order to fix the clogged drain it would cost $250, I told him no way and he left. It wasn't an unpleasant experience, except that he didn't do anything to fix my drain.

Description of Work: He came out within hours of placing our call. He cleaned out the pipe drain behind our washing machine and the drain in our bathroom. He was fast, efficient, professional and friendly. The drains are working beautifully now. We would definitely call him again if needed, and recommend him to a friend.

Description of Work: We called Rotor Rooter for a leak under our sink. The plumber we usually called could not get to us until the next Wednesday. I went on Angie's List and discovered that Roto Rooter was now doing plumbing. I called and they were able to take care of the problem that day. The plumber was running a little late and they called me to let me know and then again when he was on his way. He was most courteous and showed me what the problem was and explained what he was going to do. The sink was fixed in about 20 minutes. We have not had a problem since. | |I will definitely use Roto Rooter again for any future plumbing problems, should they occur.

Description of Work: We had attempted to have a handy-man come and figure out why toilet tank refill water was leaking out onto the floor of bathroom (from the bottom of the tank) rather than refilling the bowl after flushing. He worked to clean out clogged pipes but this didn't fix the issue. Finally we called Roto-Rooter and they were able to discern that a trap in the plumbing for the bathroom hadn't been installed properly and was causing back-up/water flow issues. They were able to install a new one and fix the problem. | |There was a bit of a mess left behind after the issue was resolved, which required a little clean-up, but otherwise we were satisfied.
