Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Someone was there within two hours of my call, even though I had stated it wasn't an urgent situation. They quickly fixed and problem and spotted a related code violation they also remedied.

They are very courteous and nice. And they help you with any problem you might have.

I called Roto-Rooter this morning. Sunday and explained that my drain had backed up. I was told that someone would be her between noon and 3:00. At 11:30 I received a call that a technician was on the way. He arrived and I explained the situation. Mark explained the price $173 which covered the service call and one hour of work. Mark quickly diagnosed the problem and went to work. He got a machine from his truck and began entering a cable into my sewer line. The work was quick and neat. Mark helped me further by emptying out my shop vac which was full of water for me. When I asked if there was anything I could do to prevent the roots from forming again I was told about a product that could be placed into the system to prevent roots from forming again. It would also double my warranty from 6 months to 12 months. I agreed and another technician came and placed the product into my sewer line. It added $121 to the price.

They were excellent. They were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I have no complaints.

I called Roto Rooter and they came out the next day and figured they would have to undrain it from the front yard access pipe. Both of the employees were friendly and worked as quickly as they could.

The gentleman was on time and professional. He was knowledgeable about the water heaters and knew exactly what was wrong. He was also patient in explaining it all to me.

They responded promptly to my call. The serviceman was very courteous. Unfortunately the quality of the work was not great and we had call them back two months later to have the work redone.

They came within an hour of my call. They worked quickly and completed the job to my satisfaction.

I CALLED THE 24 HOUR PHONE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE APPROX. TWO HOURS FOR A PLUMBER TO ARRIVE. THE COMPANY CALLED AFTER APPROX. 1 1/2 HOURS TO TELL ME THAT THE PLUMBER WOULD BE LATE. ABOUT ONE HOUR LATER THE PLUMBER ARRIVED. HE SHOWED ME ALL OF THE CHARGES BEFORE BEGINNING ANY WORK TO SHOW THE MORE INVOLVED THE JOB WAS, THE MORE IT WOULD COST. HE WORKED APPROX. 45 MINUTES TRYING TO RETRIEVE THE WASHCLOTH. AFTER ABOUT 10 TRIES HE WAS SUCSESSFULL. I THINK HE PUT IN EXTRA EFFORT TO GET THE JOB DONE AS CHEAPLY AS POSSIBLE FOR ME, AS REMOVING THE TOILET FROM THE FLOOR WOULD HAVE DOUBLED THE BILL. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE JOB AND WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN IF I HAD A PROBLEM.

Everyone in the company I dealt with was very professional and courteous. I would use them again.

Our service man advised us on how to keep the old pipes from backing up and recommended a drain cleaner for us to use. He was quick and efficient. Would recommend them highly. There was a commercial guarantee of 30 days.

I found their work excellent, but I found them expensive.

The drain cleaner wasn't cheap, but I'd heard many times over that Draino was very bad for your pipes, and I didn't want to take the chance experimenting with another over-the-counter cleaner. However, RR will back up their products, and I was told to put the cleaner (one capful) in each drain the first of the month to keep most ''clog'' problems at bay. The service man was on time - actually he arrived early and called to see if it was okay that he do so. The price was fairly reasonable. Plumbers are never cheap anyway, but the service fee was the same as most competitors.

I THINK THEY RESPOND VERY QUICKLY. THEIR PEOPLE ARE TRAINED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING UP ANY MESS THEY LEFT OR CREATED. I DIDN'T THINK IT TOOK THEM AS LONG AS THE PRICE INDICATED. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ABOUT 50 DOLLARS LESS.

Very good, but the price seemed very high for a 15 minute job.

I HAVE HAD THIS COMPANY FOR PLUMBING REPAIR AND DRAIN PROBLEMS, AND WAS SATISFIED. THEY WERE QUICK COMING OUT AND HE WAS VERY EFFICIENT IN HIS WORK. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THAT THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK.

Excellent work! The plumber who came by our house to fix it solved the leaking problem right away and also on the very day he came for service. He was attentive and understanding of our complaints.

Roto-Rooter responded in a timely fashion (same day) at no extra charge. They cleared out the clogged drain and cleaned up the water from the basement floor.

The technician was prompt, pleasant, but didn't accomplish the job. We had trouble finding the yard vent and he agreed to return and finish the job when we found it. We called another contractor who managed to open the drain without using the yard vent and we were able to find the vent in the process.

They arrived at my home very quickly. The serviceman was very friendly. He cleaned up the mess. Quickly cleared the drain. I haven't had any problems since. Great experience. I will use them again.

Company representative was professional, proficient, and prompt. The work was performed in a reasonable time and the area was left very tidy upon completion.

The technician's were on time and dispatch was good about calling to let me know when they would be at the house. They gave me a quote last week that seemed to be the lowest. That same day after calling other places I called and set up an appointment for them to do the work today. When the man arrived today he informed me that it would cost an additional $100 for a permit and they couldn't do the work that day because they had to get the permit. I made the appointment last week and no mention was made of the possibility of a permit delaying the work. In addition the guy who came out last week gave the impression in writing and in what he said that the cost of the permit was included in the quote. I asked that question specifically. I didn't have them do the work. I called another well known company and their quote was almost $300 less, they mentioned the permit and the price they gave for the permit was only $50. Obviously I went with them instead.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD OVERALL. THE JOB TURNED OUT TO BE LARGER THAN EXPECTED AND DON WAS NOT ABLE TO TELL US HOW MUCH WORK WOULD BE NEEDED UNTIL HE STARTED ON THE JOB. HIS WORK SEEMED VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ANOTHER PLUMBER HAS INDEPENDENTLY TAKEN A LOOK AT THE WORK AND SAID, "THE GUY WHO DID THIS KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING". WE FELT COMFORTABLE LETTING DON WORK IN OUR HOUSE WHEN WE WERE ABSENT. I WANT TO NOTE THAT THE PRICE FOR THIS JOB WAS IN LINE WITH OTHER COMPANIES' PRICING. MY ONLY CONCERN ABOUT THE WORK IS THAT RIGHT AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE, WE BECAME AWARE OF A NEW PLUMBING PROBLEM IN THE PART OF THE STACK UPSTAIRS FROM THE PART THAT ROTO-ROOTER WORKED ON. THE PROBLEM MAY HAVE BEEN PRE-EXISTING BUT IT'S ALSO POSSIBLE THAT DON BROKE OR LOOSENED THE UPSTAIRS PIPE DURING HIS WORK. HE TOLD ME THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE BUT IT SEEMS PLAUSIBLE TO ME. THE BUILDING IS OLD SO WE WERE EVENTUALLY GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE UPSTAIRS PIPE ANYWAY.

BOTH TECHNICIANS WHO VISITED OUR HOME WERE COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN. THEY MADE SURE OUR BASEMENT AREA WAS KEPT CLEAN EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE WORKING IN MUDDY, DIRTY WATER. THEY EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE DOING AS WELL AS THE COST. THEY ALWAYS CONFIRMED WHAT WE WANTED TO HAVE DONE.

I CALLED AT 10AM ON A SATURDAY FOR AN EMERGENCY CALL. MY SEWER HAD BACKED UP. HAVE A COMPLETELY FINISHED LOWER LEVEL. THEY WERE OUT WITHIN 2 HOURS. DON (#498), THE SERVICE TECH, WAS VERY SYMPATHETIC, AND IMMEDIATELY PROCEEDED TO GET TO WORK. HE TOOK CARE NOT TO MARK WALLS OR STEPS AS HE CARRIED IN HIS GEAR. HIS JOB WAS COMPLETED WITHIN 45 MINUTES. THE MESS WAS CLEANED UP AS WELL, AND HE EVEN MOVED THE WASHER BACK INTO POSITION. THE COST WAS ACTUALLY $134, BUT I HAD A COUPON WHICH WAS BETTER THAN THE 10% SENIOR DISCOUNT THEY OFFER.
