Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I am very pleased. We recently moved into the house and discovered that the gutters needed to be cleaned and that where they went underground was backed up. I called in the morning and the work was completed by 11 a.m. Steve was prompt and explained how my underground drains worked, their condition and the maintenance that will be needed in the future. We really appreciate the promptness and thoroughness of the work especially with the forecast for heavy rains.

Don was what I expect from a tradesman. A complete professional, top quality service, and he was friendly to my two cats. A clogged toilet has the potential to be a tad embarrassing, but he did what needed to be done and all was well. He then installed the shower head, which I thought was the same one I had on there. There wasn't a good a pressure on the new one so he suggested using the old nozzle part, it was the tubing that had failed. He could have just taken out this flow ring thingy, but that would have lost the water saving value of the old nozzle. I like getting educated on these things. He even went above the call of duty. I had an electrical circuit go out a few days earlier which just happened to include the bathroom. As it would happen a big storm cloud moved in and made the room pretty dark. He checked my circuit breaker box and none were tripped, but I was glad he at least gave it a shot and might have seen something I hadn't. And finally, Trilla enjoyed the head rub, Leo got his belly rub after he rolled over and as a 20# cat (part Maine C***) there's a lot of belly to rub. I find that people who are drawn to animals to be more trustworthy. The only slightly negative issue was I had tried to submit the appointment online the night before, but it apparently had not been completed. When I didn't hear from them by 9:30 am I called and they scheduled in a 4 hour window from 10-2. When I hadn't heard from them by 2:15 I called. They apologized and said while they had no one available at that moment there should be someone within an hour. Don made up for this slight inconvenience and arrived in about 30 minutes and my problems were resolved in a timely manner. He even gave me the discount I would have received for making the appointment online. Thank for everything, Don.

Roto Rooter was very responsive from the time I purchased the service to the completion of the work. Paul was the plumber who did the work and he was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Explained the problems in detail and answered a ton of questions. The work was completed within 3 hours at a reasonably rate and guaranteed for one year. Extremely pleased with the service and work done.

On Sunday I used what appears to be the KIRKWOOD Roto-Router website to schedule an appointment for this morning (Tuesday). I selected and received confirmation that the 8:00 am - 10:00 am window would be available. I was very clear in the comments section of the online form that an estimate was needed for some work on an outside drain for rainwater that had a broken section and was clogged. At approximated 9:15 I received a call from a dispatcher or customer service rep. The gist of that call was to gather more information and to advise that they would not be able to arrive in the time window. I explained again that it was only to get an estimate and the time onsite would be limited. I also said that I couldn't stay beyond 10:00. The rep advised he would call back in 30 minutes or less to let me know if they could get an estimator on site. The return call came at 10:05. The message was it would have to be later in the morning or that afternoon. I have a job and limited time off to deal with issues such as this and I appreciate it when service providers are punctual and acknowledge my limited availability. This day was a disappointment as my previous experiences with Roto-Router have always been positive. I can't rate the service as none was delivered. I expect that i will be rescheduling the appointment for an evening or weekend so that I can get their estimate.

After a heavy rain we had 3 inches of standing water in our driveway due to clogged drains. I called Roto-Rooter in the morning and I was informed that someone would be by that afternoon and would call when they were 30 minutes from my home. Mike Nichols did arrive within 30 minutes and was very professional and quick in assessing and fixing the clogged drains. I will definitely use them again.

Repairman Robert Johnson was punctual professional, very pleasant and friendly. He did the work quickly, with a successful outcome. Very pleased overall.

You are very blessed to have Paul as an employee. He was very friendly, listened to my husband and did exactly what he wanted him to do in a very professional, friendly and timely manner. He went above and beyond by noticing a sump pump elbow that we just had installed by another company was leaking. The company who installed it never glued the elbow and the water was running on the floor. He glued it for us, THATS AMAZING. I will call roto-rooter every time we have a plumbing need. It went very well. Don arrived right on time. Told me exactly what would be done, how much it would cost, that they would get the permit, and when the inspection would be done of the work. He did the work and told me what to do to prevent it from happening again.

Rob-Or service person was very polite! In detail he asked about our concerns offered advise and preformed the service. One item we were concerned about was a sink in the bathroom and Rob found it was a plunger issue not a clog. He could have charged for the sink but did not (Very honest). After the service we review them together, service was preformed 100%. No mess to clean up he was very neat. He also provided advise on a lint trap for the washer drain line. Never knew the washer produced lint. He advised on want to get and how to install the trap. Over all outstanding customer service!

Service was perfect. I called in the morning to set up an appointment and they were there within 2 hours of the initial call! And this was not for an emergency! (well, if a basement foundation doesn't count for an emergency). Glenn R. was really nice. Personable and able to answer my questions along with high efficiency and advice call to keep him informed and share his findings while he was still at the house (which is huge because I'm not the handy housewife at all). This was great too because my husband had ideas and concerns that I did not so we were able to actively troubleshoot the problem without an additional appointment. I'm always nervous to use big companies because you might not receive the same quality specialist as you would find at a small company but this was exceptional and I would highly recommend this service to anyone! (PS. it turns out our problem is a little bigger than we anticipated (read: we may have to tear up our driveway to get to old pipes) but Glenn was able to provide a two potential follow up plans so that we can decide which direction to take the project)

The technician was on time and very professional and left everything in good working order. It's a little pricier than other options but the convenience of online scheduling and evening/weekend appointments is worth it to me.

We discovered standing water in our basement, and back up into our lower level bathtub and toilet. I contacted Roto-Rooter around 4:30pm. They estimated the service call to happen between 5-7pm. Unfortunately, the technician was busy on another call, and did not get to our location until around 11pm. However, we received several calls from Roto-Rooter updating us on his progress, and informing us of why he was late, which we appreciated. Once the technician, Mike Nichols, arrived, he was very professional and got right to work. He did not leave our home until around 12:30am, but the job was done. Despite the late hour, he remained very pleasant and we were grateful that he was able to solve the problem for us.

The gentleman that came was very professional. Explained everything he was going to do. I was very pleased with the results.

I called Roto-Rooter at appx. 10:30am and they arrived at my house by noon. I had the pleasure of meeting their technician John Zensen. John was very courteous and polite. I described my issue to him and he asked to have a look. He first thought he would be able to solve the issue thru the sewer district man hole but soon discovered that was not an option. He informed me up front of the cost and when the man hole option fell thru he let me know the cost it would be if he pulled the toilet. I opted to pull the toilet myself (only because I was trying to keep the cost as low as possible). John brought his equipment into the house taking care to cover the wheels so as not to dirty our floor. He worked diligently in a small bathroom unclogging the main drain. After he was successful he had us flush the toilet in the master bath to ensure that everything was draining as it should. We flushed it a couple of times and it appeared to be ok but John wanted to be positive so he went and pulled the man hole cover again and listened as we flushed. Thank god he took these extra steps because had he not we would have had to call them back out because that drain also was clogged. We pulled the toilet and John quickly resolved the issue. John then ran his camera thru the pipes to ensure everything was flowing. He informed us that about 55ft out there was a bubble and that is where our issue began. He gave us the enzyme solution and told us how to use it. I cannot express how happy I was with John Zensen. He is a fine young man who is very proud of the work he does.

Had a kitchen drain problem. Technician cleared my drains on time and professionally. A great experience other than the unexpected failure of my infrastructure.

Steve was here promptly at 2:00pm. I showed him the clogged stack and then asked about the preventative treatment for the rest of the drains. I had a coupon for $50 off any service. Steve was professional, prompt and courteous. He worked quickly from the curb back to the clog. He explained the 6 month guarantee. He left about an hour after he had arrived. Credit card payment was easy. I always use Roto-Rooter to clear any clogs in my house. They have always been reasonably priced, prompt and professional. I would highly recommend them.

My technician was Jim Miller. His service technician number is #1290. He did an excellent job of addressing my clogged drain in the basement. Turns out, I had been putting the wrong veggies through the garbage disposal and caused a gray water backup at my basement floor drain. Jim cleared it, and everything is running beautifully. Also, I have never had a service man be so conscientious about clean up--he hosed down the entire area that had gotten wet and cleaned it as well as I would have. He even put plastic wheel covers on his machinery to keep everything clean. Thank you so much, Jim!

Reached a "live" person on first call.Even though my situation was not a emergency, they told me we could have someone at my home within 2 hours or so. Don arrived on time, and was professional, courteous and efficient. What I like about Roto Rooter is that they send someone to do a "diagnosis" and recommendation at no cost. If you want to get the work done, then fine. But if not, they will be on their merry way. I chose to have the work done, after he gave me two different options, He had the garbage disposer on the truck. He had recommendations for ways to keep the lines running smooth, and some helpful practical tips to keep the disposer blades sharp. He even offered to put the old disposer out in the trash. A very pleasant experience. Highly recommend them.

This was my first time using them. They did a good job. They were effective at it.

Initial estimate was fast and did not provide much detail on the job. Once the tech arrived to complete the work he was very knowledgeable and honest about what he saw. I had expected to pay for multiple lines being cleaned but he suggested against this because they were running fine. Great tech, polite and efficient.

The work they did to install the line was fine. They sent a guy out to address the smell. They drilled some holes in the top of the line to let the line vent. He put a plug in the shower. When I removed the plug, about a month ago, the smell was still there. I contacted them and they said the warranty was off, but they sent another guy to look at it about 3 weeks ago. I have not heard from them since.
