Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Be prepared for a flat fee of $264.00. Job took half an hour using a commercial snake, applied a forty dollar coupon. That is still $448 an hour. Eric was polite and professional so good job except for the cost.

My kitchen drain was clogged - Keith #4589 - was so friendly and solved the problem quickly. He explained what he was doing and fixed my drain with no problems. I could tell he knew what he was doing. Would definitely recommend him!

Arrived quickly and did excellent work. I called the local office with a question, and received exceptional customer service. I rated the price fair because it seemed high to simply snake baby wipes out of the main drain. However, in all fairness I called them first and was pleased with the call takers professionalism so I made the appointment. I did not comparison shop, so maybe the price is typical, though I still believe is high for such a job.

He came out found the problem and explained how I could fix the problem.

It went wonderfully. I called and they were able to get it done that same day. The technician, Shawn, was very professional and I know he didn't likely have the time but went ahead and did the second job for me which was installing the toilet. We need another toilet replaced and will definitely call them in the future. One of the best service experiences I have done lately.

Basement floor drain was stopped up and not draining. First plumber opened drain enough for the water to drain but could not get through the trap to cable the line. He thought the trap needed to be replaced. I was told we might need a sewer lateral repair. Contacted another plumbing company where the lady answering the phone gave me information on the sewer lateral program. After getting Residential Sewer Lateral Repair Application Instructions from city call I had to contact one of the approved plumbers on their list. After checking the approved plumbers on Angie's List, I called Roto-Rooter. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. The technician, Bryan, was very professional. I explained the problem to him and what the other plumber had done. Bryan was able to cable the floor drain and used a camera to make sure the drain was completely opened. He suggested the drain be cleaned every six months. I was really glad Bryan was able to open the floor drain. Judging from my first trip to city hall to get information it would have been a nightmare if we had needed a sewer lateral line repair.

Shawn was very professional and did a great job. We purchased $25 for $75 worth of service through Angie's List. The details of the deal were vague and response to schedule service required follow up on our end. $75 credit towards work completed. Prices are on the high end.

Service was great, Roto-Rooter was at my house in Lake Saint Louis in less than 2 hours and fixed my problem quickly. Jon, the Technician was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. He provided options on how to prevent future issues, but he did not pressure or push for additional services. Jon took special care not to bring any dirt into our house and left the job sight neat and clean. Roto-Rooter is an excellent choice to remedy your drain issues.

I am a younger homeowner with an older home, so of course any sign of a problem is quite daunting. We started having a back up in our basement and I didn't know who to call or what services I needed. I looked online and saw RotoRooter in the phone book and called to set up an appointment, which they fulfilled the same day. The first technician came out and was able to identify the issue within 10 minutes or less. The very next day, Nicholaus M. arrived to my home and walked my husband through the process of what was going on and what he was doing. Nicholas was so knowledgeable, informative, with a wonderful personality! I thought that the services was going to break my bank, but it was the most reasonable we'd come across. Nicholas was able to unclog our line with his machine and we were back up and running. This was extremely important as we had out of town guests staying with us that next week. I hardly ever write reviews, but the service I received from start to finish was beyond phenomenal. I will definitely use RotoRooter again and refer everyone. No one else could possibly compare! Roto-Rooter was great. I called at 8:00 because we had a floor drain back up and someone was here by 9:00. Mike from Roto-Rooter arrived when they said he would, he was very nice, very knowledgeable and quickly fixed our drain. I will definitely be using Roto-Rooter again if we ever need plumbing or drain service.

Don was the serviceman who arrived. He was pleasant, funny and professional. The install didn't take very long and he was on his way. It was one of the most enjoyable service appointments I've had.

I was able to schedule the appointment online and someone called me to confirm the time. Glenn Roeder was the technician who came out to replace the wax ring on our leaking toilet. He arrived on time, walked me through all the steps that would need to happen and any additional plumbing parts that were required for the job. He performed the work in a timely manner and was very professional. We would use Roto-Rooter again.

Dallas arrived on time and proceeded to tell me what he recommended doing to clean the exterior drain tile. This done, I agreed to the service and he set about his work. Using a water jetting system, he cleaned the offending tile and examined same using a camera to insure all blockages were gone. Thereafter, he used the water hose system on the trailer to clean all of the drainage gutter along the street and washed any mud or dirt down into the runoff drain sewers. I was quite happy at the quality of the work and professionalism of Dallas. When he left, my yard and home looked as though he had never been there. It was reassuring to see, when we got our next downpour, that the drain tile was functioning as in should and conducting the water out to the street as designed.

The tech did a great job. He opened our clogged sewer line and answered all of my questions.

Roto Rooter was extremely responsive, reliable, and professional from the person who answered the phone to the plumber who cabled the shower drain. I called at 9 am and asked for a same-day appointment. I was told they would be at my house in approximately one hour. I left work immediately and drove the 20 minutes to my house. I was pulling into the driveway as the plumber pulled up to my house. He was even faster than they told me on the phone! He assessed the issue quickly, gave me the price, and cabled the shower drain in less than 30 minutes. He was very professional the entire time. He even requested to enter through my garage so that his machine would not make a mess on my hardwood floors (though the machine didn't make a mess on my tile). It was very thoughtful of him. He left no mess anywhere in the house. After he finished, he told me the problem (soap buildup that led to hair getting trapped in the pipes). He recommended an enzyme cleaner monthly to prevent it from occurring again. It was a Roto Rooter product, which I thought was reasonably priced (~ $1 per application/month), so I bought it. Overall, it was a fabulous service. My only minor criticism was the price. I had read online that they charge $225 an hour; however, I was quoted a fee of $264 for the job and it only took 30 minutes. That seems awfully high for 30 minutes of work, though it is a very minor complaint given how happy I was with the service and timing.

Of course we sprung a leak on Labor Day weekend that was flooding our basement. I called RR on Sunday at 11pm and they had Don at my door by 8am Monday Labor Day He was professional and kind and was able to fix our problem with no trouble. I called 3 other plumbers and never received a response. I felt the price was fair and he even offered to help us get a water damage crew on the way. Thank you!

Other than the price, everything was fantastic. It was a Saturday (on Labor Day weekend) and they had no extra charge for coming out. They scheduled us with an immediate 2 hour window and it was less than a half an hour before we received a courtesy call to let us know that a tech would be on the way within 45 minutes. About twenty minutes later Steven arrived. He was very professional and clean even though he has quite a dirty job. He assessed the situation, gave a cost which seemed high, but then again, i didn't have any comparison bids so it might have been right on par with what the going rate is (to be fair, since they did NOT charge extra for a weekend trip, it might have been cheaper). There was a $40 online coupon though which helped. I agreed to the price and he got to work. He finished it in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself well. Overall it was a very nice, quick and efficient experience and I intend to use them again for any future needs.

Overall, I would give Roto Rooter plumber "Dallas" an "A" for his work. He was very personable, clearly explained the problem and how he was fixing it, and successfully opened the drain. He does very good work.

The work they did was fine. We had some drains that were not opening and draining properly.

I almost did not call Roto Rooter because it is a big company. I figured that they would be more expensive or not know what they were doing. Wow, was I wrong. I had just had an appliance repair company out to fix my icemaker in my refrigerator. I had waited a week for them to get the part in to fix it. After they put it in, there was no water coming into the icemaker. So the man from the appliance company looked at the water shutoff valve to the icemaker which was in my basement. He fiddled with the valve, and said that it had probably gone bad and that I needed to have a plumber come out and replace it. I had already gone a week without an icemaker, so I wanted it all fixed. I figured Roto Rooter could get someone out here quickly. They had Sergey come out WITHIN ONE HOUR OF MY PHONE CALL. Wow. Sergey came and looked at the valve. He immediately got water shooting out of the valve (something the appliance guy said it would not do because it was clogged up). He said that there was nothing wrong with the shutoff valve. Then Sergey went upstairs to the refrigerator, but no water would come out of the water section of the door where you get water and ice from. So he pulled the refrigerator out from the wall and looked at the place where the water goes into the back of the refrigerator. Again, he got water spewing from the back of the refrigerator. The appliance guy did not even do that after he could not get the new icemaker working. Sergey thought that maybe the pump on the back of the refrigerator had gone bad, which an appliance repair person would have to fix. However, he kept thinking, and asked me how long it had been since I had replaced the water filter on the refrigerator. To make a long story short, he found that I had not pushed the water filter in all the way. When he did that, the water began working in the refrigerator and icemaker!!! So, my point is that he kept thinking and trying things because he actually cared. And he figured it out. That was far above and beyond what the appliance repair man did and far above and beyond what I believe most plumbers would ever do. Thank you so much, Sergey!!!!

I called at 9 am, was told someone would come within 2 hours. I got a call 30 minutes later to say it would be later due to scheduling. I then called at 1 to check and was told someone would be there within 30 minutes. Indeed someone arrived, and he reviewed the cost before he started working. I thought it was expensive but given the severity of our issue (could not do laundry or dishes) it was worth every penny! I also learned about the importance of using our disposal for only the run off after rinsing dinner plates- this will be a lifetime of helpful knowledge. I would use them again, even with the cost (nice thing is there is a 6 month guarantee).

They gave us a two hour window, that ended at 2:45 pm. They called at 1:45 pm and said they would call us back once the technicians, reported back, they never called back. Finally we called at 4:45 pm and cancelled the deal. They said they tried calling us but no one answered, but that is not true because we have been sitting here all day waiting on a phone call or a plumber.

Robert, the plumber was on time, courteous, efficient and friendly. Solved the problem quickly, replaced the disposal with a new one in a short time.

He was very collected, definitely knew what he was talking about. Explained everything he needed to do so I could understand, attempted the least expensive ways to fix the problem before having to leave and buy the parts necessary for one faucet.
