Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We called on Sunday morning at 6:30 after realizing our basement drain was backing up. Don was here by 8:30 and done by 9:15. Nice guy. $264 might seem like a lot of money for 45 minutes of work but it was worth it to not have sewage in our basement.

We were so impressed with the responsiveness of the company, and the fact that the plumber did not do unnecessary repairs and did not charge us. We will definitely call them for future plumbing needs

I am so glad I chose Roto-Rooter! Service Technician Nick Smith did a great job. Nick was VERY thorough in his approach to the problem. Roto-Rooter has the proper equipment to get the job done in one trip. Nick checked and double checked to make sure the problem was resolved. The drains were cleaned and then scoped with a video device to prove the job was done correctly. Initially, I considered calling a "local company" but realized the Roto-Rooter, although a national name, was in fact staffed and likely owned by local folks who were trained and very experienced in resolving the exact problem at my home. After describing the problem to the dispatcher, Roto-Rooter arrived with the equipment on hand to make sure the job was done properly. If there is ever a next time... Roto-Rooter and Nick will be my first call. Thanks for the peace of mind and great service!

We noticed sewage smell near our powder room/laundry room and had roto-rooter come over to investigate. Scheduling an appointment was very easy and efficient. Got an appointment for the same day with a four hour window but a service person was over at my place within an hour. He quickly identified the issue to be a dried up drain under the dryer and helped pour a mug full water which should resolve the sewage smell. Great company, quick response and will use them again in the future!

Called provider after discovering that bathroom drain was backing up into the basement. Promised to respond within four hours, but only took about two hours to do so. Provider knew exactly what he was doing and removed a rather large blockage. Even though this took some time, he simply continued to work without complaint. He explained to us what he was doing at each step, but did not interrupt us any more than he had to. It has been several weeks since we had the service, and things are working just fine. Would use again.

Don was fab! Very professional/ He also was great with my animals! He worked quickly and efficiently. He also showed me how to clean my disposal and care for it weekly. He was great! Thanks so much

I called and a plumber came within the hour, even though I didn't have an emergency. The plumber (Glenn Roeder, #4588) was courteous and professional. He found a partial blockage caused by tree roots which would have caused me problems in the near future. I have used them in the past, and I will call them again.

Glenn Roeder is an excellent technician. He is helpful, informative, careful,and easily communicates the issues. He also keeps my house clean by covering his shoes. I will ask for Glenn Roeder every time...he is a true professional!!

He came in, did the work well in the reasonable amount of time, and left. He did not leave a mess and did a good job. My only complaint is that unless it is a doctor, or someone else saving the life of one of my children, I don't think anyone should charge over $200 dollars an hour! To me that was, including parts, maybe a $100 - $125 job or less.

We called for service around 8 pm, and were told the technician would arrive in 2-4 hours. Indeed, the technician, Jeff, arrived 2.25 hours later and got right to work. He listened carefully to the issue and to the non-standard plumbing set up in our house, and then set to work. He was polite, efficient, and professional. Within one hour, our drain was clear. Problem solved!

They were fast to schedule an appointment for an urgent need. The representative explained the issue and replaced the sewage ejector quickly and did not leave a mess. I'm very appreciative for the quick response from the team.

It went okay. It turned out to be $50 more. I don't think I'll be going back to them again. The price was too high. I would never use them. When one person came to give the estimate, the same guy should have come to correct it. The people hired to do the work didn't take it too seriously. The communication between the management and the workers is not appropriate because the management is completely lost when I filed a complaint. Overall, I would definitely not recommend them.

It went well. The price is what stopped them from getting them an A. They did a good job.

I was so very impressed with this company. They brought a team of 5, 3 plumbers and 2 outside guys to deal with the disaster pluming issue in our house. They worked 2 days straight to finish the job in a timely manner. Very professional, courteous, and informative. I won't hesitate to call them in the future.

I think they might have underestimated the bid but they stuck by their quote. I had a cast iron sewer line that was falling apart right at the point where it goes through the foundation. They had to remove the whole pipe, cut through the foundation and dig into the landscape to replace with PVC. They finished the project in 2 days and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with the work, explanation and the price of the work done.

The provider arrived and assessed the situation and gave me a price of $234 (plus parts), which was consistent with previous work performed at the same location by Roto-Rooter. The previous plumber told me the pricing or Roto-Rooter is $234 (plus parts) for the first job and $117 (plus parts) for any subsequent work performed during the same visit. I was very pleased with the first job done by Roto-Rooter, so I called them back for another visit to connect an outdoor faucet to a water line in the utility room. When the technician was finished, he gave me the invoice and said the job actually cost more than he originally quoted but he would apply the Angie's List deal to it and reduce it by $75. What actually happened was...he added the $75 to the original quote, added the cost of parts, and then applied the $75 discount. So really, I didn't get the deal from Angie's List. I was very disappointed with this visit. He did a good job work wise but was not accurate with his pricing. I'll not use Roto-Rooter again.

I bought a big deal for this and they did a great job. The service was pretty good.

We found that one of our gutter downspouts was backing up because the underground drain was apparently clogged. We called Roto-Rooter and they came out the same day which was awesome, although not necessary. The tech suggested that using the jetting process (high powered water) was the best way to clear it and told me the cost was $399/hour. I was taken back by the price, but asked him to proceed since he was there and it needed to be done. It took him an hour and he found that the end of the drain was buried below ground which is why it was backing up (we just bought the house so we had no idea that was the problem.) With the jetting process we were able to find the end of the drain which we will now go about bringing above ground. So, I was very satisfied with the promptness of the service and the effectiveness of the jetting process, but I still think $399/hour is outrageously high for a non-emergency call.

Everything went really well. The provider gave an estimate of the cost and time involved. Since I'd hired another contractor to replace the exhaust fan in the Master Bath, later that day. He agreed to complete the work in the Master Bath first. So that room would be available when the next contractor arrived. I look forward to working with this provider when remodel the bathroom(s).

He came almost immediately, which was great. Just thought the price ended up too high after the AL coupon.

Steve was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. I've called this particular Roto-Rooter several times over the past 10 years and have always been pleased with them. I did, though, think the price was high for the service rendered.

I made the appointment online, so I"m not sure which location the plumber came from. I requested the 8-12 time. They called 1/2 hour ahead of time as promised, and arrived a little early. He fixed the problem, and told me what I can do to make it run better. At the end, he asked if I had any other problems, so I mentioned my water heater had a leak. He looked at it and suggested a quick fix.

Tightened valve parts, watched for further leaking. While waiting, looked at and tightened another valve and measured water pressure. Confirmed no more dripping at either valve. Friendly, professional, and quick with complete service.

Tim was very professional, providing information about the design of the drain stopper that was causing the clogged drain in a bathtub. He explained to me what the quote would be if the issue could be resolved at the stopper and what it would be if it was clogged down more and he'd have to go in another way. He said that this common design of a stopper most of the time can have its clog resolved right at the stopper. The excess hair gets caught around the stopper itself and usually just needs to be removed. He also explained how other shower and sink drains I have differ from the one he cleared. Tim went above and beyond what was required of his service in helping me understand some basic plumbing problems and how to possibly prevent them in the future. His service was provided in a very timely manner and I very much appreciated the early morning appointment.
