Using roto-rooter x 1 hr with cable or snake taking a lot of grass, nice job !!!! Clean and professional , little expensive for old people....

My technician, Joe (#4573), was fantastic. He came in, diagnosed the issue and gave me a reasonable quote. While it wasn't cheap, it was reasonable and especially as we already had one plumber who didn't show, I was happy to pay. He got right to work and took things apart, fixed the problem, and put everything back again. My disposal works better than it has in years and things are working well. I did have to have them reschedule the day before when they weren't able to come in our window of time, but I was called quickly after the window with an apology and an offer to reschedule to first thing in the morning the next day. I am pleased with our experience and I'd use them again.

We woke to the sound of a water alarm in the basement. The sump pit was overflowing. Based on other reviews here on Angie's List we called Roto-rooter and they were able to get a plumber out within 3 hours. They also called us to keep us informed of when the plumber would arrive - very good communication! The plumber was personable, professional, and courteous - one of the best service people I've ever had work in my home. We had purchased a new sump pump at Lowes in anticipation of needing to replace our device however the plumber determined the existing device was working fine. The connection between the sump pump and the PVC up pipe had broken. The plumber was prepared with all the parts and tools to make the repair. The entire service call was about an hour. Other than being a bit pricey for one hour and a couple of (what I believe to be minor) parts this was an amazing experience. I would definitely call and use Roto-rooter again for an urgent service. We used a $30 coupon from Angie's List (already reflected in the listed price for service).

This was actually the second service in two days. First service tried to get line unplugged with limited success. Second crew came in to video line and clean as needed. They did a significant amount of cleaning and identified a section of piping that needs replaced.

They did a dreadful job. They took the coupon but apparently they didn't use it. We were extraordinarily dissatisfied with them. They weren't able to fix the problem. We had to pay someone else to come out and do it. He did the exact same thing using the exact same tool and was able to fix it. So we were very unhappy with that company. The gentleman that came out was very nice. But he was older and couldn't physically do the job, which is why we had to call somebody else out. They were able to come the next day. They were late, but they came almost within the window.

Did a terrific job and their representative, Sam Williams was professional and friendly. He knew form the beginning what was wrong and was able to fix a major problem in just a little less than an hour. I was very impressed with the quality of his work and he was an outstanding steward for his company. Additionally, this company was available on short notice and was fair with respect to pricing when the 6 month warranty is factored in.

This was a $25 big deal purchase and it was fine. They did exactly what I needed them to do. It sounded like something a family member could do. They did not have a part with them that they would need because it would have taken a whole new faucet and they agreed that my son could probably do that with no problem. Again, they came out, inspected and told me what the trouble was. They were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I would have had no problem with them doing the work, but my family preferred to do it themselves. We had a little trouble because I had such a small job. Because I was not in any hurry and I told them that. We had to put it off several times, having them come out. We just had to keep rescheduling because they had several other jobs going on. They would get caught on a job sometimes and not be able to make it to my house on a day we talked about. If it was something I was in a hurry for, that would have been a problem. What they were going to charge me to put the faucet in seemed very reasonable. I would say their prices were fine. They kept changing the times of the appointment on the days they were supposed to come out. Sometimes they would call and finally say they were not coming that day. I did not appreciate having to wait around on them. The man, when he did get there, was very nice and helpful.

We are very pleased with the promptness and professionalism of the Roto Rooter Technician who responded to our call for service. He was not able to fix our toilet. However he showed us why, the reason being it was so old. We agreed to the replacement of the toilet. The new toilet was installed and working in less than an hour. The tech also pointed out the features of the new unit. He also cleaned up so well that when he left I had no reason to clean behind him. We had used Roto Rooter before when we had a leak in our kitchen sink. We were so pleased with the service we did not hesitate to call for service again. The lady who took our call was as pleasant, as before. She told us when to expect the Technician and promised to call promptly if he ran late.

Great! Everything was explained before doing work, drop cloths were put down to catch debris (a hole had to be cut in the finished ceiling) and it was completed quickly. The provider showed me all the work he did once it was complete and went through everything.

Everything went wonderfully. Will use again in the future.

Two visits were required. The first time snaked drain but did not have replacement drain pipe. The next day a different person came and installed the drain pipe, but the sink was still not draining so he snaked the kitchen drain again and cleared the stoppage. Kitchen sink is working fine now.

I made an appointment to clean out my basement drain for November 23, 2015 for a 2pm - 6pm window. At 4:50pm, I received a polite phone call from Roto Rooter letting me know that they are very busy and couldn't be there by 6pm. I was asked if I wanted to try for a 6pm - 8pm appointment window for that evening. I said that I would rather make an appointment for the next day for a 10am - 12pm window. Glenn came before 12pm and cleared out the basement drain. He clearly answered my drain clogging concerns. The original cost was $264. I used a website coupon of $50 which lowered the cost to $214 which includes a 6-month guarantee. I was given a choice of paying only $150 but it did not included a guarantee. Glenn was careful while making his way up and down the basement stairs to not bang and damage the stairs with the heavy roto rooter equipment. Unclogged drain, no mess, no damage. Good experience.

I talked to a woman on the phone. Told her I want to buy the $25 deal though Angie's list. I have a simple job to romove and replace a kitchen joy-stick type faucet. I have a new Moen unit. All I need is the labor. I asked if she could give me an estimate of what it would cost. She said no. They would come out for free and give an estimate. I guess then I'd would buy the deal while their guy waited (on my dime?). I then asked what their hourly rate was and she said they don't have one. She said they have been in business for 90 years and blah, blah. I find that turely amazing. I'm not paying $25 then get charged an unknown additional amount to do the job. If thier rate is $300/hr then I get 15 minutes for $25 and pay another $225 for the remainder of an hour. I'm guessing this is a half hour job and they round up to the nearest hour. I guess I'll call my regular guys... Aires Plumbing

The work by Bob J went great. He was kind courteous and professional, and did a great job fixing our clogged warm water so we can take hot showers again. However, the scheduling of the work was very unprofessional. There were three days of missed windows and each time they'd push back the work they wouldn't call me to tell me they were going to miss the window they'd scheduled. I understand they're busy, but be honest about the scheduling AND when you miss the time you've set CALL ME to tell me, don't wait for me to call you wondering where the plumber is. Service was very good. They called about 30 minutes before arrival, and went straight to work. The pricing, though, for a toilet install was very pricey, and I even had a $40 off coupon.

Arrived at 3:30 on same day and completed the job at around 5:30/5:45. The line seemed fairly clogged (infamous baby wipes!). It was expensive but I imagine this is the typical rate and the plumber was courteous, efficient, and explained what he was doing.

Glenn (#4588) was the best! He explained everything that he was going to do & explained how my previous plumber had missed a few things. He kept me informed while he was working & showed me exactly what he was going to do. He was incredibly professional, polite & fixed all the issues!!! The previous plumber had said that our trap had sunk & he was unable to clear the blockage in our main line- which was causing a backup in our basement, so we called Roto-Rooter to get an estimate on the repair. As soon as he got a camera down, he said the trap hadn't sunk, the previous plumber just didn't clear the clog. He cleared everything & showed me the entire pipe on the camera both before & after, so I could see exactly what was done. I couldn't be more happy with finding Glenn & any time we have a problem in the future, we're requesting him!

*** Update*** Manager called to apologize and offer a refund. Problem solved. I called at 10 am because water wasn't going into my dishwasher. I called Roto Rooter because it listed dishwasher under things they serviced. I told them the situation and they said they would be there within the 2 hours. Well, 12 came and went and they called me to say it would be a bit longer. They called twice more to say it would be later and at 4, they finally came. I wasted an entire day. Then the person, who was kind and did his job, told me that they don't do dishwashers and he could just tell me if it was a house issue or a dishwasher issue. Well, it was a dishwasher issue and it cost $165, just to come for 15 minutes and tell me they couldn't help me. I really wish I was told up front that it might be 6 hours. I really, really wish I was told that the fee for just coming was $165 and that they didn't do any dishwasher work.

We had two drains cleared out due to slow drainage. The representatives arrived promptly according to the time they specified over the phone (same day service!). They were professional and curious. We appreciated how up front they were about the cost and what was covered. They also offered some helpful advice about a related issue that we were experiencing. Overall, recommended without reservation.

Their Deal, Is a misleading scam, They state its for repair labor, This deal states you get $75 bucks worth of REPAIR, FOR $25 BUCKS, (WRONG) yOU PAY 25 BUCKS, ALL YOU GET IS A BID. Then you find their is a (service charge) over 100 bucks, for this service call, after they subtract the $75 buck credit applied to your bill, you still owe them the ballence, around 50 bucks, add on the $25 you paid for the deal, you just paid for Rotor Rooter PLUMBING to come out,To only give a bid for repair. So you just waited days or weeks for a repair, Only to find out how much they charge for repair. WOW, around $75 bucks for a bid. only use the plumbing deals that state a service call and 1 hour of labor, included, And pick up all supplies needed for the repair. Yourself. If they need to go to home depot for parts, your paying over 100 bucks a hour for the plumber to go shopping for you.

Extremely prompt and thorough service. I was provided with guidance on how to prevent further problems and things to consider since our pipes are quite old. Would use this provider again for sure!
