Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Prompt, courteous and efficient service - unfortunately we have major issues that will likely require line replacement. Robert and Gabby were extremely helpful and advised on future services we might require.

Mid morning we realized the drain in the laundry room was backing up slightly, and after alternating running the bathtub and toilets, and kitchen sink, we determined the the back-up happened when the kitchen sink was running. We called Roto-Rooter at approx 10:30, and they assigned a truck to arrive between Noon and 4:00 p.m. The truck arrived at approx 2:00 p.m. with two technicians. They were both very professional and courteous (and neat! this was a day of steady snow, and they were very conscientious about not tracking in dirt/snow between the house and their trips out to the service truck). After describing the problem to the technicians, they explained the various options and the cost of each. During the actual process of cabling the sewer lines, they used numerous tarps to protect the finished basement from splatters. They were also thorough in cleaning up after the cabling process was completed. Overall we were very pleased with the service experience.

The on-line scheduling was very convenient, and the technician was friendly, professional, and thorough. The price is very high though for less than an hour of work; in the future I'll schedule preventive sewer line cleanings with our regular plumber for less than half the cost.

I contacted the company on-line early this morning and within two hours I received a call informing me they had received my notification and that their technicians were on their way. Raymond and Mario arrived about half an hour later in the Roto-Rooter van, they were dressed in their uniforms with name tags, introduced themselves and covered their shoes before entering my home. Raymond looked everything over, explained what they would do, answered my questions and helped me feel confident they were knowledgeable about the situation - I have an older home with old pipes. I was given an estimate for the job - felt it to be a fair price and agreed for them to do the service. I am very satisfied with the work that was done - especially how I was kept informed of things as the work progressed. This was a very pleasant experience and I highly recogmmend Roto-Rooter located at 3041 Elm Point Industrial Drive in St Charles, MO.

Mike was punctual and cheerful despite the unexpected 4" of snow on the ground. He spent time explaining in detail to me what he was seeing through his camera and tried multiple times to thread the camera through the blocked sewer. When he was unsuccessful, he gave me his best guess on what was happening and then educated me on the appropriate next steps to take with University City as the blockage/breakage falls within their Sewer Lateral Repair Program. The whole experience was as pleasant as could be given the circumstances. RotoRooter staff is always professional and punctual. And I appreciate their policy of not up-charging for weekend visits.

Don came out and identified the leak in my ceiling as being caused by a cracked toilet seal. The cost of repair and parts was high ($359), but I was able to use a $40 coupon that Don gave me, which was nice. Service was prompt and well done. I do wish that RR would guarantee their work for longer than 6 months. That being said, I appreciate the fact that RR made it out on a Federal holiday, right after a heavy snow with streets still packed. I called to schedule at 8:30 am, the guy was here about an hour later and he was finished at 11 am. Professional, prompt, but a little expensive is how I would sum this all up.

Great. First, I loved the online scheduling. When I needed to change service time the day of my originally scheduled service, the dispatcher rescheduled me for first thing the next morning. It was awesome. Service call went as expected, the guy was professional, quick, and left my house as it was when he entered (Except now the toilet and shower drain correctly!)

Went well, all work was done as expected. The technician explained all the costs and what he was going to do before beginning. No surprises.

We called in for an estimate on a Sunday morning. Within a few hours, Ariel showed up, gave us an estimate, and quickly resolved the issue. She was very friendly and very helpful. She gave thorough answers to all of our questions and explained in detail the enzyme that was included in the price. She also covered the 6 month warranty that came with the service. She was very helpful, and I would definitely recommend their services again! Ask for Ariel!

Jason was running a little behind schedule; however, I received 2 phone calls from Roto-Rooter within a little over an hour to assure me he would keep his appointment. Jason asked what and where the problem was and then told me how he was going to clear the drain through the overflow opening. I left Jason to his work and within 45 minutes the drain was cleared. Jason was kind enough to turn on the air vent in my bathroom! Jason reviewed the most important contract information such as the 6 month warranty which was a welcomed surprise. In addition, I received a gallon of fluid to maintain my plumbing on a monthly basis. Jason told me to be sure and mix the cleaning fluid with the water required for best results before flushing the pipes. I took the opportunity to ask him about some well-known commercial products that had just not gotten the drain clear for more than a few days. I have PVC, apparently, so he cautioned me on the acidity some products contain and the damage it can do with repeated and frequent use. I am 65 years old and I found Jason very professional and well-mannered. I have had a few repairmen as a result of my condo purchase recently. I have had disappointments. I expect much and Jason did not disappoint. Jason gave me his card and told me to call if I had any problems and remember him for future use and/or referrals. I would recommend Roto-Rooter and Jason to anyone, especially family. ..and yes, he asked me to fill out the survey. I am happy to do so.

This was great. I was kept informed by the company about when the service rep would be there. Don came quickly, diagnosed the problem immediately and quoted the work. He finished in about an hour and a half and everything looked great. He took the time to explain how to use everything correctly to keep it going. There was no mess or anything. We had another "recommended" plumber come before for this same problem. He took more than three weeks of coming back with "new" parts and whatever he did "fixed" it for a short time but was not correct. He also managed to punch a hole into our wall from the sink to another room and break a light fixture above the sink. This was from 1965 and cannot be replaced. Nothing was done to replace or fix. Ingreat contrast Don, from Roto Rooter knew right away that things had not been done correctly. He was knowledgeable and courteous. We have used Roto Rooter in the past and had the same experience. I highly recommend using them. Don't count on friends or family to recommend someone because you never know what you are going to get. With Roto Rooter, they always come quickly, do the job for the price they quote and clean up. Could not be happier.

Initially I contacted Roto-Rooter about mid-morning saying I had a clogged kitchen sink drain which also affected the dishwasher. The person to whom I spoke said someone would be out between the time of 1:00 PM -5:00 PM. That worked for me, so I agreed. As time passed, I received 3 phone calls saying the technician were taking longer than expected with current jobs, but would be there as soon as one was free. Around 5 or so the call came that the technician, Jeff, was on his way. At each phone call the person was very apologetic for the time delay. Jeff arrived around 5:30, introduced himself, and I directed him into the kitchen. Jeff was very professional and prepared to look at the scope of work. He was thorough in the questions he asked about the drainage problem and looking at all the pipes determining what was and wasn't involved in the clog. Once he determined what was to be done, gave me the estimate which I accepted, he quickly went about the job of unclogging the drain. As mentioned the area was cleaned up, ways to keep the drain clean running were suggested and off Jeff went to his next assignment.

After finding water and what I can only describe as black gunk on our basement floor when our washing machine was running, we immediately called Roto Rooter. We had used them before and have always had great service, The dispatcher said someone would be at our house within 2 hours and Shawn arrived in 45 minutes. After seeing the problem, he provided us with 2 options and explained each one, He quickly got to work and provided us with updates as he was working. At one point he asked me to come outside to view the tree roots on the camera that had been inserted into the main line and explained that we should be eligible for our city's sewer lateral program. We will continue to use Roto Rooter for our plumbing needs in Creve Coeur!

I called and Terry #6127 was out within the hour. He was very friendly and got right to work. He snaked out the kitchen drain and put the pipes back together (that we had taken off when we tried to fix it) and made sure everything was working perfectly. When he left everything thing was cleaned up and back to normal. Terry was wonderful and will definitely call again when it happens, because I know it will.

. We had such a pleasant experience from our service tech, Ken. I called Roto-rooter at 10:30 this am and was told there was a 4 hour window for service. I was okay with this, but instead of waiting for 4 hours, we had a service tech, Ken at our door 30 mins later. He was a perfect gentleman, introduced himself, and shook our hands upon entering the house. He worked quickly and efficently. He ran into a snag with the clog, explained everything to us and continued to work diligently. Within a 30 minute period the clog was fixed,and he even cleaned the shower for us. He was pleasant, and very obvious to both my husband and I that Ken took pride in his work and his company. When he was leaving, he thanked us for calling Roto Rooter and using their services. This is the type of employee that more companies need to employee

Gabby came out and fixed the toilet, was very honest with what needed to be done, and called out Roto-Rooters Restorative people immediately to get all carpet removed and damage accessed. Thank you GABBY for taking such good care of us!! Restorative people were great in helping us through this process!! Will most definitely call them again if I have any other issues.

Nick came within 2 hours of my call for service. He asked me if I had a coupon and whether I was aware of the coupon that was available on their website. He gave me an estimate of the cost of the service before he began work. He made me aware of the way I could prevent clogs in the future given the condition and layout of my pipes. Overall he was very professional and made sure the drain was completely cleared and everything was cleaned up and working properly before he left the house.

Great. Not only did Chris fix it, he diagnosed the cause.

Antoine came during the posted time slot. He was knowledgeable and conscientious. He ran several sources of water and checked and double checked flow after he ran the snake out to the street.

Technician- Jeff #3423, was very courteous, professional, and efficient. He was very methodical and solved a serious problem @ 4 AM. I called 3 other Plumbing companies that we had previously used but they did not have emergency service at night.

We discovered standing liquid in our utility room in the basement on Saturday about noon. Our son had been house-sitting for us the previous week, and apparently flushed paper towel down the toilet after cleaning up a mes on the carpeting. I couldn't seem to make any progress with my small home plumbing snake, so we called a few friends and started looking for help, since we couldn't use water in the house, which is a definite problem. it was Sunday, so we were concerned we'd pay a hefty premium even if we could find someone, but we noticed Roto-rooter advertised they didn't charge extra, so we gave them a call. They said they could have someone out yet that afternoon, and would call with an more exact time. They called back in 10 minutes to say they had someone who would be over in the next 30-45 minutes. He arrived, took a look at the situation, and listened to what we knew, and said he thought it would be relatively straightforward, and got his stuff to get started. It only took him 10 minutes or so to set-up, and he was careful to protect our carpeting in the basement when bringing things in. The work was done quickly, and our main line back-up was cleared promptly, and we were back to "normal" fairly quickly, which for a Sunday was a very pleasant surprise.
