Absolute Clean

The two fellas from Absolute Clean arrived a little early and called ahead to see if that would be OK. He assessed the fireplace and then gave a few options of how to fix the crack in the fireplace liner, suggesting the least expensive option, but explaining other options. They were relatively quick and clean and offered a discounted deal in the future. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were great and did a good job.

Very efficient and courteous. Dave who I believe is the business owner is a super nice guy. He pointed out some recommended maintenance but no pressure to use him to do the work immediately.

The biggest issue I had with this company was the scheduling. The number on the website is to a mobile phone and a woman answered. I could not understand her-it sounded as though she was standing outside with the phone on "speaker" setting. I told her twice I was having a hard time understanding her. The gentlemen arrived at least 30 minutes early (they were sitting in my driveway when I got home) but said they couldn't call because my cell number was wrong. I'm guessing this is because the connection with the scheduler was so poor. David stated he was the owner and gave me his direct number for the future. He did point out some flaws with our chimney (it is 60 years old, no surprise). I politely declined and he did not pressure me to decide anything onsite and did provide some estimates in writing for the future.

first of all they told me on the phone that the cost would be an extra $40 for my 2 story house. this was not mentioned in the sale price on Angies List. Next Michael called 45 before his appointment time to say he would be late because he had to stop to get gas. when he showed up he showed me some minor hairline cracks in my insert and gaps and said he could caulk them for an extra $60. (ok since when does a quarter tube of caulk cost $60!!) I needed to think about it. then he asked about which coupon I signed up for. I told him the $109 one. He explained that he also had one that covered an inspection of my furnace unit. I told him I didn't need that. He then walked over to my cold air return, looked into it and said that I have a leak in my basement and that I have mold in my duct work. I told him that the wood in the duct work is painted black and it has dust on it. (at this point I'm not happy with this guy) Then he takes me outside to look at my chimney cap tells my its all in good shape. How does he know this by not going up on the roof? I ask him if he is going to go up on the roof to clean, says he doesn't need to. Then he looks at my dryer vent, says everything is ok, well I think we know how to clean out that to which I told him so. He had his assistant do all the work and was done in 30 minutes. He just sounded like he was trying to run a scam on me I didn't trust him at all. I couldn't wait to get him out of my house. This is the first time I have used angies list if this is what it is going to all about I would like my membership money refunded.

The servicemen were on time, cleaned the chimney, gave me an explanation of what they'd found, and left. It was a pleasant transaction.

All around very pleased. Would recommend them to all family and friends.

I called three times and left three messages. Each time there was no reply. I think they are likely overwhelmed, but it's ludicrous to not even call back. Angie's List should have a money back policy on providers who cannot provide service.

They did a good job cleaning the chimney however they showed up 30min late and was very hard to get on the phone when called.

At first he called as he thought he might be late and asked if that would be ok. I said yes, The he called back and said he would be on time and he was. He came in showed us some issues that needed to be resolved from previous owners, explained and answered all our questions. They spread out the tarp, inspected, cleaned and swept the chimney, cleaned up everything, made sure they didn't leave anything or any type of mess. Very polite and courteous.

First, I?d like to start my review with the statement that I have very high expectations for contractors, but can foresee and am willing to work through the likelihood of small problems occurring along the way. Perfection at all times is a tough measure to live by, but one can and should always hope for the best! So?for my review, I think Absolute Clean did an acceptable job inspecting & cleaning our chimney and inspecting our dryer vent. There were a few minor problems: (1) there was a scheduling error that involved my input & action, (2) the gate to our backyard was left open, (3) I expected a ladder to be used for the inspection of the top of the chimney, (4) I had to ask for the dryer vent inspection that was part of the Angie?s List deal, and (5) I?m glad I had rugs around to protect flooring because it was a rainy day with a lot of in/out from the crew. I was told from the Crew Leader that the bird sounds that I have heard in the past were not because of a nest in the flue. As a result of this inspection, I have to assume it might be a bird?s nest in some other part of the stack that was not part of a general inspection. Could it be because there might be two flues in this one stack and that the birds might be in the other non-operational flue? In any event, the work crew was pleasant.

I'm very pleased. They were here on time, got the job done thoroughly and quickly. I'll use them again in the future.

They arrived on time, with all the materials. They completed the chimney sweep, tuckpointing and placement of the chimney cap. They were professional and didn't make a mess. I would use this company again.

straight forward, no nonsense quick cleaning, no uniforms, no company painted van. Used a shop vac kept outside the front door with a long vac hose connected running through the house to the fireplace. They put a cloth down in front of the fireplace to try to keep the area clean. They cleaned out the ashes of the fireplace first before using basic brushes to go up the flue scraping the edges. These are not guys coming in with top hats, specialty vacuums, large collection of specialty brushes, cams to let you see your flue, and singing songs from Mary Poppins, but if you want a basic quick service for prices less than most chimney cleaners, they should be considered.

Two men arrived at our home, explained the service & were very professional. Prompt cleaning/sweeping of chimney and cleaned out all ash from fireplace. In and out in less than 1 hour and did a great job. Would use again.

The worker made a quick inspection of the chimney and proceeded to clean it with a brush from the inside. I asked the worker some questions and he was very willing to answer them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Arrived promptly on schedule, worked efficiently, and explained all findings and repair options. Provided prices upfront before ordering parts or carrying out the work. Great work, very informative and helpful! Would use again for future chimney work!

They were great. They had prompt service. The guy seemed really knowledgeable in everything else they do. They had the chimney inspected, fixed that, and gave good advice. Their demeanor was great. He repaired it for the same price as the big deal we purchased for chimney sweeping.

The servicemen showed up on time after calling ahead (a big deal as I am currently on bed rest). They were fast and knowledgeable and very polite. We use our fireplace a lot so his was a big job. Hey left it in perfect condition with not a crumb of creosote to be seen (or smelled)! I have already recommended them to my friends and family.

That was great. I will use them again. My son was home when they came but they came and they noticed there was a nest or something in the chimney. Everything was just perfectly clean when they left. When I got the "Big Deal" they came out right away.

The technician was very prompt, professional, & took time to educate us on everything he was doing. He was very engaging, & pleasant, as well as polite and respectful. I would definitely use them again.

Everything was fine. They cleaned it with no problem. Price could have been a little lower for the service. Good service.

Very professional, on time and did a great job. Purchased as a Big Deal. Charged a nominal fee to repair a crack in the mortar and offered the same price next year if we use them again. We definitely will!

Overall it went well. There was confusion with the person handling the phones and setting up appointments. I was told there was a scheduling conflict via e-mail that I happened to come across the morning they were supposed to arrive. I immediately contacted them to see what the issue was and was told that they had me mixed up with another customer. They did arrive a little late and just as they finished the work, the office called me and said that they wouldn't be able to make it to my house on that day because their truck broke down. The lady on the phone was puzzled when I informed her that they had just completed the work. While I did select "yes" on if I would use them in the future, it's more of a "maybe" to me.

David and his colleague did a good job, they were punctual, got to work immediately after assessing the requirement. David also pointed the chimney flute open, which he said was not an efficient thing to do, as it was pulling lot of cool air from the home. Since I have not used the chimney before, it was educative and appreciated his advise. He also suggested that Dryer vent to be cleaned frequently and he did it for an extra cost. There was lint in the chute and so I agreed for the clean up and paid $49 for the samd. The service was good overall and I will surely recommend to any one who is looking to clean their chimney. I checked couple of suppliers before signing up with David, I believe his prices are competitive if not better.
