Helping Hands Cleaning

The first appointment was on August 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm. After waiting for a long time past the appointment time and my husband calling multiple times, we finally received a reply from helping hands at 2:39 pm in the form of a text message, which read: "Sorry my van is on side of road it made a noise and then over heated. Have bad signal waiting on someone the pull me to a shop so sorry" I attempted a second time to schedule a cleaning session. The scheduled time was today, December 8, 2012 at 10 am. She said that it would start between 10 and 11 am to allow for travel time, etc. My husband and I waited in our front living room looking out the windows and door beginning just prior to 10:00. When helping hands had not shown up by 10:25, I picked up my phone to see if they needed directions or anything. I had a missed call and voicemail left at 10:14 from Stephanie . It said that she knocked on the door, and waited outside the house for 15 mins and was leaving. Like I said, my husband and I (and our dogs) had been waiting and looking for them the entire time that they would have been knocking on the door and waiting outside. I immediately called helping hands back but she did not answer. I left a voicemail and sent a text message. I had a pretty good idea of what had happened. Our address is 9** *th Street and there is another street nearby called "*th Street Terrace". We often get mail for 9** *th Street Terrace. I figured that they must have knocked and waited outside of a house on that street. I explained this in the voicemail and text messages that I left with helping hands. I also explained the street location of our house and what it looks like (a picket fence is unique to our house). I asked when they would be coming back. She then sent several poorly worded text messages saying that they were not coming back and that they were not at the wrong house. Clearly they were not at my house or, as I explained, I would have known they were here. All of this time, she was not answering the phone calls that me and my husband attempted to make to her so that we could reschedule and make sure that she knew where we were located. She sent messages saying quote: "Am sorry we will not drive back. That is a lot of time that we wasted driving there. We was at the right house. We pushed the door bell and knocked, and I ca Il you when we was getting ready to leave. We waited there 15 minutes. Am sorry but I wasted a lot of money on my crew sitting there." I messaged stating: "If you are not going to fulfill your responsibilities by coming back, I will be filing a complaint with groupon, and other review sites. You will also need to refund the groupon". Her reply was "Do what you feel you must, groupon will refund your money..."
