We moved to St. Louis about a year ago. We didn't have a referral for an auto body shop so we took our cars to dealers for service. After having some bad experiences getting our cars serviced at dealerships, we found Roy's Auto on Angie's List. We will be using Roy's from now on. We discussed the services we needed ahead of time and Roy's did not try to sell us on a bunch of additional things. The prices were fair and competitive. The employees were professional and polite. And their service was great! Thanks again!!!

I called Steve at a little after 7 in the morning of my day off. Told him the car was running really bad. He said their day was pretty full but if I could get there by 8 he would have someone look at it. They showed me where the leak was in the gasket . He wanted me to leave the car so they could fix it the next day( 5 1/2 hour job). I told him I would bring it back my next day off as long as it wasn't dangerous. Steve was very nice, very helpful and went out of his way to care of all the customers there that day. The actual price was a little lower than the price he quoted me. He seemed genuine and honest. My husband and I just moved to this area and I was happy to see a auto repair place so close and so highly rated on Angie's list. My 11 year old car is running great. I have already recommended Roy's to others.

I get the feeling that they are very upfront about the cost of things. They always call me back with the options/news before incurring any charges. They go to extra lengths to ensure the safety and conserve the money of their customers.

The check engive light was on. I did some research, then decided to go to 'Roys Auto Service'. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning. Dennis and the team did a fantasic job. I could not be more happy with the work they did on my car. They fixed my O2 sensor, horn, and did an oil/filter change. The staff and mechanics are frienly, honest, fast, do great work, give great advise, and the price was great! I will defintely go back. Im very happy to have 'discovered' Roys Auto Service as a company I can trust 100% with my car.

Everyone at Roy's with whom we interacted were highly professional. Importantly, both my daughter (the primary driver of this vehicle) and wife were very comfortable with the staff. They replaced the front brake pads and rotors--the rotors were originals with 112K miles, so it was time for new ones. Prices were fair, and Roy's did as much paperwork as they could to help us get manufacturers' rebates on the parts. They also diagnosed a very small vacuum leak that was turning on the check-engine light; they didn't even charge for the very small hose that needed replaced. My family has four cars between 5 and 10 years old--we'll definitely be back to Roy's. This was my first use of Angie's List, and I might not have tried Roy's if I hadn't seen the good reviews here.

They were pretty efficient, upfront and honest. Overall they were pretty good and did a good service.

Roy's did a great job. I had taken the car to another service station and the problem, fluid leaking, was misdiagnosed as a bad transmission pan gasket. They were asking $800 to replace the gasket. That station had replaced the transmission fluid fluid several months earlier and had overfilled it, which apparently caused them to think the gasket was bad. However, removing the excess fluid did not solve the problem. Turns out the water pump was leaking. Roy's diagnosed it and also told me my transmission was fine.

They provided a perfect service and I am very satisfied. I have taken my vehicle other places and been misquoted, had my vehicle misdiagnosed. Other places have also attempted to sell me products and parts/repairs I don't need. Not here! I will definitely be using them in the future!

I called Roy's based on Angie's List. I had been to 3 other mechanics for a loud noise under the body and for the transmission leaking and the brake noise but none of them had been able to repair these things and had said things like it's just in the design of the car. I was ready to sell my car even though I love it because I couldn't stand the noise if they couldn't be repaired. Everything is now fixed (even my brake pedal which I never even mentioned to them). The transmission repair took longer than they expected but they didn't charge extra for labor. The strut mount had to be insulated and they didn't charge for that. I appreciate how Steve listened and kept the car a little longer to get it done right. You know how it's harder to fix something that's been done wrong. Well, that's what they had to do.

As always the experience was excellent. A week ago I needed a tail light replaced. I called Roy's for an appointment and asked if I could wait for the car. The appointment was made for the same day, The task was completed in approximately 20 miniutes and I was not charged. That was totally unexpected and a pleasant surprise. I then scheduled an appointment to have the car winterized and that service was completed today. Again I waited and the car was ready within an hour, which is what I was told it would be. I LOVE this place! The team is professional, friendly, courteous, honest, and reliable. My perception is that everyone is doing their very best for the customer. I will continue to be one of Roy's loyal customers. In my lifetime this is only the second automotive repair service facility that meets and beats the top standards of this profession. The first shop closed upon owner retirement.

We had heard good reports about Roy's. They checked out our Suburban, recommended service and talked about problems we suspected but hadn't reported to them. They kept us updated, checked with us before making other repairs, and finished on time. They even went out of the way to find less expensive parts where these would do the job. We were very satisfied.

I brought the car in and as usual they diagnosed the problem quickly and gave me an approximate time of repair and price. I was pleased and accepted their plan. They did the work efficiently and on time and the car came back running well again.

This is the best car service business I have been to in a long time. I had taken my car to two other service places and was totally disappointed with the service and cost both times. Roy's had been highly recommended to me so I scheduled an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied with the whole experience and I have been going there ever since. I recently joined Angie's List and I was going to ask Roy's Auto Service if I could recommend them to the List. I was very happy to see that Roy's is already listed. I LOVE the service that Angie's List provides and I LOVE that Roy's is on the list for everyone to see.

They are very courteous and I would recommend them to anyone and I have. The staff there is very prompt. They do a really good job.

I trust them to take care of my cars and have for 10 years now. There are never any surprises with them. They give wonderful advice. They are honest and have given me estimates that turn out being lower than what they first thought. I think their prices are very fair.

I have been taking my vehicles to Roy for 15 years now. He always does a great job! He is very honest and gives good advice on what needs to be done and what doesn't. He is very knowledgeable. His prices are very reasonable. I have an old Jeep that is approximately 16 years old that he keeps running for me!

Fairly routine maintenance work. I am just happy that Roy's is always courteous, no hidden agenda, and finish on time.

Replaced radiator in February. During the excessive heat of July, car battery died. During attempts to jump start the car, a radiator hose failed. What I thought would be a $100 job turned into $400. They did not replace the hoses when the radiator was replaced nor did they flush the system at that time and they did not offer to do so. But they did this time. I was lucky the hose failed less than a mile from the shop. They should have done that work with the radiator replacement. I got to pay for some labor and coolant 2 times. Roy's is usually pretty fair and honest. Make sure your instructions are comprehensive before the job starts!

Overall experience was good. The work was a bit costly, due to the time involved and a day's wait for delivery of a part. Craig was very good at explaining the problems and fix required, and gave a realistic estimate of the timing.

I sold the car after I want to another auto service and found out the electrical system was bad. I had to have it repaired just to sell the car. I sold it for $400 because the car kept overheating. Later, I found out from the buyer that the reason it was overheating was that they didn't reconnect the radiator fan. Their work was subpar. I will not go back there again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I had good experiences with them in the past. But after this incident I won't go back.

VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED, AND BUSINESS-LIKE. INVOICE HAD NOTATIONS OF ALL OF THE PHONE CONVERSATIONS. TOLD CLEARLY WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, AMOUNT QUOTED WAS THE SAME AS AMOUNT PAID. THIS WAS A FIFTEEN YEAR-OLD CAR. WHEN THE WRONG PART WAS SHIPPED, THE CALL INFORMING ME OF THE DELAY WAS PROMPT AS WAS COMPLETION OF THE WORK WHEN THE RIGHT PART ARRIVED.

ROY'S HAS DONE BOTH ROUTINE AND REPAIR WORK ON OUR VEHICLES FOR SEVERAL YEARS. VERY PROFESSIONAL, FINISHES ON TIME, DOES WHAT IS PROMISED. GOOD COMMUNICATION.
